WHAT actually is the difference in RPM from 5 speed to 6 speed at 70MPH?????? Honestly I love the 5 speed since it was set up by Yamaha as perfection.

Your superb review and a little homework of my own resulted in me purchasing a used 2013 ZX-14r here in southern Japan! My wife was a little disappointed but I didn't tell her about your channel so no bad vibes headed your way. All is well... still have the bike and the wife... and my 1996 Harley FXSTSB!😆

I just bought a 2012 14r as in the video. Completely stock. Showroom condition. It is amazing. I do have to shed some weight on it though. It's heavy. Great video.
Why the stupid irritating intrusive junk music all the way through? Subject matter not sufficiently interesting? Try watching a Harry's Garage video review of a bike or car. That's how to do it.

I have a two valve 2007 orange/red one. I’ve ridden the 4 valve norge , I really don’t feel any difference in power. I have owned my norge a long time.it is feb-2021at the moment..Over all these years I’ve only seen one other red one in person. And that was at a Guzzi rally..I love the relaxed effortless grunt. The transmission got better with time. It shifts as good as a Suzuki ..I have had for Moto guzzis since 1979.. issues I have had, with this Norge, and two of my other guzzis, The oil pressure sending unit. They need to get a different supplier because they seem to be using the same manufacturer supplying these oil pressure switches. It’s quite alarming to have your oil pressure light come on at 70 miles an hour.. another issue they have is, relays. I had to rewire/re-feed my starter relay directly from the battery rather than have the relay at the end of a long daisychain of parasitic draw ahead of it. Once I referred the starter relay directly to the positive terminal on the battery, she fires up immediately now. Before, it took several tries to get the starter to engage sometimes, especially if the bike sat for a few weeks. This only happens if my battery is more than two years old. Every time I put a new 18ah battery in, I don’t have start issues until the battery becomes three or four years old. I suppose that’s my fault. another issue is, my fuel gauge has never been correct. The gauge reads empty and the low fuel light comes on about 100 miles after filling the tank. That is annoying because I’m not even half empty at that point. I really like that I can turn the ABS brakes off and just have regular brakes for those times when I’m on slopes and camping areas, or on a downhill gravel driveway, or heaven for bid I would get caught in the snow. I had a BMW K 1200 LT with ABS brakes that could not be turned off. I was on a grassy slope in the infield at mid Ohio Road race course to watch races. It had rained, the ABS kicked in, I had no brakes.. I ran into the catch fence and separated the fans from getting on the track during a race because the ABS took over and shut down the braking on that bmw.. I soon sold that BMW and bought myself a GL 1800 Goldwing which I still have also/a non-ABS model...I have confidence in my braking skills After 40+ years of off-road riding, eight years of road racing experience, six road racing championships, two national championships. I don’t like ABS on a motorcycle., I was riding with friends a few years ago, and I had to do some heavy breaking on my Norge when an approaching car turned left across my path..I had the back wheel in the air, my friends told me my rear wheel was off the ground at least 18 inches.. that is higher than I ever had the rear wheel off the ground in my road racing days were competing on my trials bikes. I think I would have preferred to have the front wheel lock a bit rather than possibly flipping over. I’ll have to do some more practice burning the brakes in to see what its tendency is.. I hope that doesn’t mean I have to un-learn then re-learn how to brake after 700,000+ miles behind bars.. if it’s going to rain, if it’s going to be windy, if the roads are going to be very curvy and challenging, I always leave the gold wing at home, and ride the Norge. It is very confidence inspiring and sure footed. It rotates effortlessly. It holds the line, it does not try to stand up when braking leaned over.. it doesn’t roast you on hot days, it has adequate wind protection, you don’t have to marry the dealer, valve adjustment takes about 40 minutes using three common tools. it is not a kids machine. It is an adults machine. it’s not Japanese perfect, it’s not Japanese common, it’s not Japanese cheap, it’s not Japanese fast.any jap 600 sport bike will leave it for dead... i’ve had lots and lots of Japanese motorcycles. They have no glitches, no quirks, and no character. My Norge has character. It has a soul. It has a heartbeat. It’s exciting just to operate the machine.. just pulling away from a red light is exciting. I have continuously owned a guzzi since 1979.. there’s just something about them. They remind me of a radio engine airplane, or a steam locomotive. They are a machine. A living breathing machine

It is. Stupid intrusive annoying rubbish. I wonder about the mental state of some people, weak empty brains so lacking that they feel a need for such noise going all the time to fill a gap, and assuming that others have the same lack and the same need. Gym owners and managers are just as bad, inflicting trash music and ugly music videos on all their members/victims.

Own a 2010 honda st1300, just wish it was 6 spd and had abs, have a chance to purchase a 2012 MG norge with low mileage , just wanted ur opinion, always loved twins, honda is nice but has a high whistle which drives me crazy and 4 cyl which I'm not to find of, I'm only 5' 7"
Actually took one out, compared to the st1300 smoothness is not there, lots of vibrations and shaking, typically of a twin, handling is very good, the st has electronic windshield also but has better protection guzzi is very cold blooded , takes a while , brakes are better, nice bike overall but going to stay with the st1300

Pretty good review, I really love my zx14r but I absolutely hate riding it around town so I avoid that as much as possible.
Ditching the exhaust for some Coffman Shorties makes a major difference in weight and handling
Just picked one up. Last 2 bikes are V65 Sabre and GS1150e. Big? Heavy? Feels small after those two bruisers, with twice the motor. Has power like electric locomotive.
Think only option from 2016 model worth having is the slipper clutch, which I have fitted to my 2015 AE model. Other features not different enough to warrant a change of bike. All FJRs are awesome!
Are you guys doing the 2018 FJR 1300 road test or bike review video anytime soon?

Mine was remapped by previous owner and dyno'd at 198.63 BHP / 119.2 lb-ft at rear wheel. You have the best of everything with this bike. The larger engine means that max power arrives at just 10k RPM, rather than having to screw the thing to 12 or 13k to achieve it. Imagine what could be done with that motor though, and think of all the weight it carries as a tourer........ Need I say more!

6th gear is nice, but it is not a huge difference. it only drops maybe 200 RPM. not enough to really recognize

I have just bought this bike full ABS version build & ride quality is fantastic & I have had CBR 600F GPZ 500 & this little Honda brings a smile to my face every time its so light & flick able with punchy engine ...I just ride it & love it .
I just bought one myself. I'm a learner rider, 6'4" and 120kg, absolutely perfect beginner bike for me. Love it.

+maroDC5 Yup. In fact now that I have taken delivery of my bike, I can say I made the right choice! Between my years of riding experience, and reading enough reviews highlighting both positive and (importantly) negative aspects of the bike I came to the conclusion it was the way to go. The only thing the review were off on, or hardly mentioned is how much better the bike looks in person, and that goes twice for the silver color.

I've seen people take over someone at 60 mph you must be heavy if this can't overtake for you.
Taijean Moodie no I'm not heavy very light actually the bike just has no pick up. That's literally the only reason I sold it. I rode mostly highway and I couldn't overtake for shit

Maybe someone could have done a few action shots while he was explaining about his 30 minutes of riding. It takes me 35 minutes to get to the foothills to begin riding, so I'm not impressed.

seriously, who cares where the happy cows come from? what about how the throttle feels, the clutch pressure, top speed, engine characteristics, or riding position? there's been alot of hype on the bike and no motorcycle press and instead of telling us what we are wanting to know, you tell us about a helmet and cows. wtf
