    Appreciate the video. I was conflicted between these three switches. I do like the dust proof stem that the purple and blue have. However from what I'm reading online, sound and feel are better with the lavenders.

      I've been sitting here for a minute trying to think of a single reason to get either of the jellies over the lav purps..... and I can't tbh? Even after lubing them (in this video: th-cam.com/video/RU7Mk5mns1M/w-d-xo.html), I still think that they aren't as good (both in terms of feel and sound). I still maintain that the Lav Purps are an excellent switch.
      But the 1 dealbreaker (for me) is that I really can't stand the bottom out sound of the jellies, lubing does help, but that "tick" is still there. I'm usually quite open to switches sounding different, but these just sound annoying 😅 - maybe lubing even more would help, but I don't feel that it'd be worth the effort.
      As for the dustproof box... I'm not sure if it makes a difference in "proofing against dust"? Maybe if I'm working out of a saw dust factory, and if I don't periodically brush my boards, then perhaps? But even then, will that have much of an impact on performance? So i dunno, its kinda gimmicky to me (though maybe someone can change my mind about that).

    I do agree with the linear like feel on the laveder purple! I have a tester switch of it and you can easily mistake it as a linear of you don't look for that rounded bump

    All these switches really come to life after lubing tbh I wouldn’t use any Akko switch outside of the silvers unlubed

    Is Jelly Purple the most tactile out of the three?

  • @auliasa6602
    @auliasa6602 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is the jelly purples' really that heavy? How is it compared to cherry or gateron brown? Or is it still ok for gaming?

    the tactility of the jelly purple compare to the fantasy virus?

  • @MAIcrosoft
    @MAIcrosoft 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I'm really struggling between these 3 switches (huge coincidence I know, glad you made this video!). I do prefer a heavier tactile feel, since I'm mostly a clicky user. Which of these 3 do you think is the most tactile?

    • @majorkeeb7493
      @majorkeeb7493  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jelly purples are the heaviest of the 3 (in terms of the spring force) … but i wouldn’t consider them a heavy though?

    Which Akko tactile switch would you recommend for typing?

  • @azku
    @azku 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I love Lavender purple.
    Still yet to find a better switch.
    I’m wondering if I should get Jelly Purple if I like Lavender purple, or is it not worth it?

    • @majorkeeb7493
      @majorkeeb7493  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I still maintain that lav purp > jelly purp… really don’t see it as an upgrade (but that’s just my opinion 🙂)

    Do you have any tactile switch recommendations? Im trynna find one with a long pole and also a decent amount of tactile bump (somethin like cherry blues but a lil bit less)

    • @majorkeeb7493
      @majorkeeb7493  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      my favourite longer poles are: Strawberry Milk, Azure Dragon, Designer Studio White Jade - they are heavier springs though (67g), not sure if you are willing to give that a shot?

    the sound and feel is all subjective. still I am struggling to find the best for me. Tried the Lavender Purple with my Phantom 87 RGB, it sounded high pitched. Still am confused with Jelly Blue and the Lavender. I do mostly code and play light games with my board. So, if anyone out there whose usage matches with mine and loves tactile switch, please share your suggestion with me. TIA

    • @majorkeeb7493
      @majorkeeb7493  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want something “low pitch”, i wouldn’t go with any of the Akko switches tbh
      More like 👉 Boba U4T

    Between the Jelly Purples and the Jelly blues, what is better in your opinion?

    • @majorkeeb7493
      @majorkeeb7493  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I prefer Jelly Blues for sure... they are a decent light tactile (apart from the click on the bottom out, which resolves a little with lubing).
      The Jelly Purples are just in the middle of nowhere for me... I'd look somewhere else if I wanted something with a more prominent tactile bump. Also, I really can't stand the bottom out sound.

  • @DS-ez4er
    @DS-ez4er 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    They all sound almost the same to me, apart from subtle differences in tone. I can’t listen to the bottom out click you mention…

    • @majorkeeb7493
      @majorkeeb7493  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah i would say they are similar'ish, especially the 2 jellys. The "click" is hard to hear here... but its there, and I find it annoying enough

  • @AkashiroNota
    @AkashiroNota 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video, I was struggling between jelly purple and lavender. I couldn't hear any difference or ping noise but if you say its there and feels annoying its enough to eliminate the jelly.
    Im a linear fan to be honest and kinda broke one so i have to be sure before going for it, do they feel too hard? Sorry if its not the right word, i dont know much about switch terminology. I mean, I have only tested Outemu Dustproof Red (Too soft) and Cherry MX Blue (Hated it) but I think something between these two would be great. Is Lavender Purple what am I looking for in a budget?

    • @majorkeeb7493
      @majorkeeb7493  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont think they are "hard" at all, in fact quite the opposite (compared to the "heavy tactile switches"). I do think that the Lavender Purples are great for the price, I can recommend them for sure 👊

    How does gorilla tape compare to painters tape?

    • @majorkeeb7493
