Skull Ashtray carved using the

The ashtray was carved out of sapele which looks great with a oil finish. For the roughing and profile cut I used a 1/4 end mill down cut. The 3d toolpath I used an Amana bit #46282-K Tapered Ball Nose - 5.4 Deg Tip 0.0625, 0.25 inches. Then I finished it was tung oil, enjoy!

I think you might be on to something. Might not be too difficult to modify the file to get rid of the bowl and make it into some decorative piece

You could cut a piece of glass and put it in the bottom to preserve the carve. Pop the glass out to clean it dry put back in

@@encarwoodworking just have to grind the edges a little. Should make them for cigars, just a wider groove.
