    Such a helpful review, thank you!! After using a wicker Moses basket next to the bed with my first child, and finding that very clunky and hard to maneuver a tiny baby from when shattered, I decided I definitely want some kind of co sleeping crib this second time around. This has helped so much!

    Great review. I really wish we would of bought one of these when my son was born. I actually don't know why we didn't! That's great that it has a way to tilt for reflux. Our Dr advised us to tilt our cot by putting books underneath so this would of been much better. xx

    I just got this and just wondering do you need a cot or moses basket as well? Wasn't sure what to do for my spare room for baby when the baby does grow x

    • @HelenGraceC
      @HelenGraceC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Alice! So yes wheh baby gets too big for this, you’ll need a cot. When they are small though, some people have Moses basket for naps downstairs. We had a poddle pod which doesn’t exist any more or he’d nap on me! Hope that helps lol xx

    Thank you for the video! We are considering getting one of these, my only question/concern is if it rocks too much when baby moves? I have seen you can use the straps to attach it to your bed, but I’d love to hear your experience with it!

    • @HelenGraceC
      @HelenGraceC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Katie! So sorry for the slow reply. When it is strapped to bed it doesn’t rock at all! Sorry I can’t remember if there’s something else to stop it rocking. But yes how we had it it wasn’t rock-able 😁😁. Hope that helps?! Lol. Thank you for watching! Good luck!! Xxz

    Hello, I just wondered if it's safe to have the side down all the time when you are sleeping? I've been offered this crib secondhand but have worries that the baby might roll around and I might squish him (it's my first baby so I don't really know!) Thanks

    • @HelenGraceC
      @HelenGraceC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Maddie, aw no problem! So Arthur always slept on the mattress of the cot, I couldn't roll into him because the frame of the crib would get in the way. As for him rolling, he didn't roll for a good few months, but even then it would be just on to his side and back to his back (without moving across)!! So it would definitely be safe in those terms... every baby is different but it took Arthur a long time to roll enough so he would be out of the snuzpod (it never happened!). I hope that helps? And congratulations and good luck!! Thank you for watching xxx

      If you go on the Snuz website the new version (Snuzpod 4) actually has a barrier between the crib and the mattress. The reason for this is that the new crib safety standard (BS EN 1130:2019) means that all bedside cribs manufactured after November 2020 need to have a 12cm barrier to prevent baby rolling out in to the bed.

    You don't need to sleep on the side panel. Put it down to the floor before attaching it to the bed.

    • @HelenGraceC
      @HelenGraceC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      hi! Yes you could do this but that wouldn’t have worked for our bed, because there was a dip and a little gap between our mattress and the snuzpod mattress if that makes sense!! xx

    when your baby was newborn did you sleep with the sides down as i’m confused on some as the say one you put baby back in put side back up but i thought the point was to keep it down until they can roll x

    • @HelenGraceC
      @HelenGraceC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kandy, Hm yes someone commented a while ago that the advice changed about this. I did keep the side down the whole time and slept on the side. I think the worry is them rolling and you rolling on them? Arthur didn't roll for months! xx

    Hi Helen, I was curious to know if you used the lift away feature at all to provide him somewhere to sleep downstairs in the daytime? I am trying to decide which crib to go for and then what to have downstairs and liked that the snuzpod could be lifted off, but didn't know if it might get a bit tiresome to do that everyday.

    • @HelenGraceC
      @HelenGraceC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Christina! I didn’t do that, you for sure could, but our front room is too small really, but it would have been effort too lol we actually used a poddle pod - they don’t seem to sell them any more, or he’d nap on me! The snuzpod isn’t heavy as such so it is possible to bring it down. It’s so hard deciding what to do I know!! Xx

  • @Peter-uk3sp
    @Peter-uk3sp 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Helen, I was just wondering if your snuzpod came with straps to attach to your bed? If so did you use them or did you feel it was fine/safe to just have the pod lined up against your bed? I have just put together a snuzpod4, appreciate this is a review of the 3 so am not certain if that one also came with them, but am wondering if they are provided as optional or a necessity. They're kind of the last thing remaining after building but look like a pain to attach correctly! Thanks.
