    I have probably watched over 100 rig walk-around videos. I have watched two of yours. I can honestly say your style of editing and presenting these builds is the absolute best I have ever seen. Absolutely incredible. You ability to fit everything into a video that is under 10 minutes long is astounding. The owners of these rigs must be so happy when they watch these videos after the interview. You deserve a lot more subs. I don't know how you feel about TH-cam, but keep doing it...please!!! We need more creators like you.

      I want to add that I don't know how you get these guys to be so relaxed and give such good answers when describing their builds. You must ask excellent questions or just create an environment where they can relax. Even if these guys are you friends, most people don't seem this relaxed, this at ease when being filmed. I hope you interview people for a living or something. If you don't, you should.

      Thanks this actually means a lot - takes a lot of time, money and effort to make them so I appreciate this.

    Nice ride! I also have an SR5 4x4 manual 5spd. These are my favorite 4runners. Not only because of the monumental looks, but the capabilities are huge. Still the most reliable yet! Mine's is at 350,000 original miles! Addicted to off road, makes some of the best bumpers! I'm keeping my ride for sure! I'm upgrading the entire cooling system! All aluminum Koyorad radiator & all mishmoto silicone hoses! While in there replacing oil cooler hoses with factory gaskets & hoses... 23yrs old! Need it! Take good care! 👍

    Love this setup way more than all the giant tire lifted setups. Not a big fan of the big wheel lifted 4runners because the parts wear out faster, and when you're up in the mountains, like were one of these is supposed to be, the last thing you want is for one of your front wheels to fall off because the ball joint or something was tired!

    Very well equipped. You seem to be missing a fridge in the back. So handy to have when out on the tracks. Cheers bud.

      I'm always keeping my eye out for one. Using coolers for now. If I go that route, it may cause me to go down a dual battery and solar panel project route 🤣

    Awesome build! I have a '98 SR5 manual, and I'm looking at adding a front bumper, really liking the Addicted Offroad version like you have. I'm wondering - when you added your bumper, could you tell a difference in the performance, given you also have a 5-speed, did it change your shifting, etc., whether on pavement or off-roading?

    • @Kindred.Wanderlust

      Biggest thing i noticed was the braking. The standard brakes just didn't cut it anymore. I've upgraded to the Tundra brakes and works fine now. The other big difference is approach angle. The stock bumper is huge in comparison. I did also relocate the window washer reservoir as it just kind of hung out there in the open.

      @@Kindred.Wanderlust Good to know on the windshield washer reservoir (I hadn't thought about that). That's what I've heard on the braking - I grabbed a pair of 13WL calipers at the junkyard recently, hoping to rebuild those and then get everything else for it. Thanks for the info!

    Great Vid! Dude....hit me up! I'm in Alexandria, own a 3 gen 4runner, and am itching to get out. No reason for both of us going out alone. If we get people together, we can shred!

    high lift on the roof is really stupid. unnessicarly adding weight to the roof, ~40lb steel projectile in accident, mechanisms exposed to the elements where they will corrode and become useless, one slip with that awkward chunk of steel over your head and now you are stuck and injured. mount the bar to the bumper and store the mechanism inside as low as you can get it and strap it down.

      If I was bored enough I could probably find an equal amount of benefits to it being up high but I'm not bored enough.

    • @Tanner731
      @Tanner731 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Xandera #1 reason for mounting it there is flexing how overlandy you are. not sure that whatever space inside you save or time you'd save by having it outside outweigh the cons of having it up there.
