The best way to pack and prep a SOF T Tactical Tourniquet, and use it one handed.

This is clever. I carry and have had the misfortune of having to use a tq a couple times now. I appreciate the "Spend more time in a calm environment prepping to save effort in critical high-stress times" design. Only change I might make is using normal rubber bands. Easier to snap if they catch and if they are getting old and flimsy, it is time to check up on the tq and replace them as needed.
In an insanely dire situation that loop of paracord with the smaller loop, with the addition of a stick/pen/screwdriver, could become a second tq, and the little loop could secure the impromptu windlass to some degree.
I'll have to try it and do some test applications with it.

    Use your mouth.
Better yet use a rock or something.
Bleeding out worse than the inconvenience of biting metal or plastic.
    Just my 2 cent.

If we are being completely honest…. As someone that has worked in healthcare for over twenty years. I promise you that 99% of the population are not capable of controlling their adrenaline enough to put their own TQ on. You have to have one heck of a background to have your mind right in such a situation. Most the punks at the range being all “tacticool” would be shaking trying to put the TQ on someone else, let alone themselves.

@@KrisMak But they watched youtube videos and are hardcore alphawolves! clearly they would be fine applying a TQ from a tactical-flatpack that Dr. Superranger McHero showed them!
We just had a bad work accident that left one guy with a major leg bleed, not more than a week ago (hence me diving back into tq videos...i carry and helped, but I could have done much better).
The number of people that stand around and watch was upsetting, but the people trying to help without training was infuriating. I appreciate their desire to help, but one guy trying to TQ with a belt had it tightened to the most convenient hole and didnt mind that the blood was still pulsing out. Noone called 911 or delegated people to go direct the ambulance...basic stuff. I got in there with a real tq and applied it to stop the bleed as I told a specific person to call 911(forgot to also mention the address as I had practiced in my head). Not my first time but my hands were shaking (i remember clearly because it really annoyed me, deeply), I forgot to send out people to guide in the ambulance (someone else snapped out of it and did it), I didnt write a time on the tq (non-critical in this situation, but completely slipped that training), I blanked that we were right next to an emergency exit that lead to the front parking lot and the medics had to come through the main entrance and through the plant.
This is all stuff I had thought about and ran scenarios in my head. I have had to tq someone in a worse situation before and am calm under pressure...but when the time comes, the adrenaline and chaos that others present can even mess you up if you are practiced. In my case, clearly twice was not enough. I dont know how many people you have to save to be completely chill about it, but ZERO+youtube isnt the number, and I dont actually want to get to that point anyway...yikes.
/rant (that got away from me and turned into the "PRACTICE WHAT YOU CARRY" rant...hope it helps someone)
