Sharon, you did a great job. I enjoyed watching you in the last video also. Michelle, you are a blessing...greetings from a fellow sista and homecare biz owner in Canada!
Hello couch,I am a new agency and I am here watching this roleplay and I am just grateful to you, this is something I really wanted to know how to go about when I go to the Clients house, thank you very much
I enjoyed your video. I'm a caregiver now. I'm 51. I've been a CNA years ago. I've worked in the field for awhile. I love the elderly and helping them. I work with all ages with this agency. I'm in CNA school now. I'll finish in October 2020. I want to be on my own with my own clients or client. Working hands on myself right now. I started to apply at a facility for stability until c19 hit. So instead of jumping from job to job working for someone else for$8! I want to be on my own and get paid what I'm worth.
Thank you so much coach Michelle. I’m so glad to have come across your channel 😅. I have been in business since 2016 and a healthcare provider since 1998. I absolutely loved it. Many blessings to you both!🙏🥰🥰🥰
You ladies are so fun 😂. Can you do videos on how you, as an owner, structure your days? Almost like a “day in the life”? And how your staff structure their days with clients? Like do they time batch or how do they organize which clients to see and when, etc. thanks!
This is very informative...watching from South Africa, started my carergiver agency a year ago, i am really learning a lot, thank you. Maybe one day will afford to come for the conference

This was sooo awesome!! Thank you so much for sharing. The role play seemed so real and natural.. I could even imagine the Mom 😂🤣🤣🤣 I'm currently in the beginning stages of developing my own Home Care Agency and the information you've been providing has been a great help to me. Thank you Coach Michelle 🙌🏽
Am watching this video about two years down the line but the information is still up to date and on point. Thank you Michele for playing forth and back to bring out the desired information for our seek. looking forward to gaining more knowledge from you. Am new to the field and willing to be on my own. Looking forward to working with you or a competent coach like you to pave my path into this business.
You girls are too funny! Sharon did a fabulous job! Just curious, could the Nurse do the intake and the assessment, together? If not, could the intake person and the Nurse visit together, or overlap, so there’s only one visit to the Client? Love the energy you too have together..
Brian Melany yes the RN can do both if he/she understands the intake/business side. Most people hire RN as independent contractors so they may not know the business requirements. I don’t recommend doing at the same time for a few reasons: You are meeting with a potential client. If the potential client doesn’t sign up...you will be responsible for paying the RN. I hope this helps.
I appreciate your response. It does seem that the Intake visit should be separate, for the reasons that you mentioned. Thank you for pointing this out to me.
Hi, I love all your videos. One question: What is the average hourly rate for a company to charge a client. A caregiver gets paid an average of $18 per hr. How much does a company have to charge to make a profit?
Hi, thank you! It varies based on your local market. Not all caregivers get paid $18 we hour. I would recommend researching your local market then determine your fees and rates. CM MyHomeCareCoach.com
Both of you are so Awesome $18 is not enough to pay CNA. How can we cover the costs? I am in PA. CNA gets pay $16-20 per hour. Do you charge RN to assess the client? How much? Thank you for the fantastic video.
Thank you so much for your response. I would like to go to conference in March, but I like to know what I am going to do before going there. Thank you! I am afraid to go by myself

That is so me when you switch rolls to be your mom I get into mommy mode real quick when I’m taking care of business I always pull my glasses down 😂😂😂😂🤷🏽♀️🥰
Great role play - I noticed the Homecare rep is expecting payment/deposit (whats a recommended percentage?) before services are rendered. Is that standard practice on going throughout a service agreement or would it be on a case by case basis? Thank you so much, I loved it!... FUNNY

Great fun and informative video. 💖 Starting out (in Oaklahoma) how much should I charge a client (approximately) when I have 4 yrs experience but no certifications? I'm solo btw. And do I have to pick a name for my business, purchase an llc, get bonded (ect.), and register with the state if I only plan to have one client?
Question: What is the typical payout amount for a contracted nurse to do a comprehensive assessment? Also, is it 100% necessary for the owner to do the initial visit or can it be an employee like an Executive Assistant or someone else who has the specific role of conducting intake assessments?
Starkey Roberson good morning. Great questions...it really depends on the R&Rs of your state. I would suggest printing them, reading them, creating your policies, if you are in a regulated state. If not then you can create your procedures on how you would like the business to operate. The compensation you pay your staff needs to be developed based on your city/town’s pay scale at a minimum. Google “RN pay in abc county”. That may help.

Hello Michelle , If I am RN and a home home care agency owner, Can I do comprehensive assessment on my clients?
Yes, only a Registered Nurse can do Comp Assessments in states that are regulated.
This was amazing....👋🏽🎉🥳🎊
Thank you
So how much money is the client giving up front? Maybe I missed it…how do we come up with that initial payment figure?
It’s based on one week of service.

My problem is funding the employees before payment is provided from the clients, Where to get funding? is a loan a good idea?
collect a deposit...
Do you have to have a RN even. If you are private Duty Non- medical, I’m from Louisiana!!
Good question because im in Florida and I didn’t think it’s required either, but check with your state regulations.
No
So is this for medical and non medical?
Hi, yes it is for non medical home care.

I'm in FL starting up a hha..For non-skilled hha would we still need to do a rn assessment?
Absolutely!!
How to manage a private pay client? How do you obtain a client intake along with the agreement?
All procedures and forms should be developed based on your state’s rules & regulations.
Just wondering what would be the verbiage when it comes to the money part and how much should I be asking to cover ?
