Yeah, I like to give a couple reference points, but always hard to find one just like it; always a little difference in power, or features, but close enough. Thanks again!
The 800NK do have 2 variations. 800NK Sport Model have the small, horizontal TFT Display. Where the 800NK Advanced Model have the big tablet potrait display. This model also have Quick Shifter.
I did a current inventory check on my closest RideNow Powersports location to see how the 800NK compares in the showroom to its 2024 competition: CFMoto 800NK - $8495 Kawasaki Z900 - $8495 Suzuki GSX 8R - $7949 Suzuki GSX 8S - $5995 Yamaha MT07 - $7495 These are advertised prices for new 2024 models. Only 800NK if you absolutely had to have cruise-control, other options more attractive (IMO) for all other scenarios. Curious why the new 8 series Suzuki's are such good deals?
That's interesting, especially that 8S price! Where are you located?? Yeah, I think 800NK is certainly comparable to all of those, but not necessarily ahead of them, except the MT-07. I'd say if you didn't buy that 8S your crazy! But like you said, maybe the CC and other tech is the selling point.
@@ghostontwowheels I live in the Phoenix AZ area (Peoria). I've owned an 8S for a little over 6 mo.and while I was happy with the deal I got it definitely wasn't as good as these prices. There are several RideNow locations in my area an most had similar pricing on the Suzuki's but I did find MT07's as low as $6999 and even found some left over "22" CFMoto 650NK's & 700 CL-X models for $3995 so will be interesting to see what the 800NK's go for at the end of the year.
Woah thats crazy cheap, here the prices are: 800NK: 38,888 (only the advance version with the ipad screen is available here) Z900: 42,xxx GSX-8S: 50,000 with a 10,000 rebate making it 40,000 The gsx-8s is the most expensive, but with rebate makes it the middleground.
interesting price for the gsx-8s. you sure that's the full price? might get a bunch more additional costs compared to the others. in my country the gsx-8s and the 800nk are the same price. well, the regular 800nk is 10% cheaper, the advanced version is the same price.
@@donderstorm1845 Those numbers represented the asking price on the dealers website at the date I posted them. Here in the US you should expect to also have shipping charges (listed on the manufacturers website), dealer setup (negotiable amount), sales tax, and licensing fees. Unfortunately those deals are no longer available but a good example of the value of checking dealer inventories for current deals if you want a specific model!
Lol the mt07 been in trouble since the release of the hornet 750 and gsx8s. Yamaha doesn’t give a damn though. They’re the black air forces of the bike world.
That's fair, but they probably think "eh, we got the MT-09 which is better anyway". I think the companies really don't "worry" about other bikes, but just more of respond to them as needed in next couple years. It's just fun for us consumers to compare them endlessly!
At this point in time I'd still choose the MT07, Honda Hornet if it's available where you live, SV650 or GSX 8S (which I currently own). Nothing against CFMoto or that it's Chinese manufactured but mostly because it's a Chinese copy of the Duke 790 that has a very poor reliability reputation. Anything using this engine platform (800NK, Duke 790, Husqvarna 801) is going to have to earn my trust over time before I consider them over their competition!
Yeah, I understand. They have to build a reputation for motorcycles, just like they've done with their ATVs and such. I will be picky about calling the engine a "Chinese copy" though. CFmoto was the original manufacturer for those engines on behalf of KTM and such, not a copy, but point still taken in the reliability. Will be interesting to see how they score over the next few years and see if it was their engines specifically that lacked reliability, or if it was whatever else KTM did around it (KTMs electrical sucks!). But they must be doing something right if they're partnering with Yamaha now. Thanks for checking out the video!
Great video. glad to see you not only describe what you are on, but also talk about similar competitors.

Nice
Here in Europe (Portugal) that bike has a 8” vertical tft. The same tft mt 800 but on the mt it’s horizontal.
Is that what they call the 800 NK "Advanced" model? Sometimes it's weird how different countries get different variants.
