i just wanna thank you for your cleaning tips. i’m 18 and have really bad ADHD, i don’t know where to start with cleaning or what order to complete the process in ever. so thank you for your videos, you’re helping people!
41 pairs. Now I’m motivated to clean out some of them that are not used often or not as comfy as others. Thanks on showing how to take care of them. Great video.
I am glad you made a video like this. I know you have made one in the past and I was going to look it up before I washed my sneakers, but I didn't feel like looking through videos I just wanted to get it done, lol!✌🏿
I remember watching my father polish his dress shoes every Sunday to be ready for church. He had that nifty brush and I loved the sound when he used it. I also remember a time that I put my sneakers in the washer and dryer and of course they shrunk. Bad idea. But I was younger as well when I did that
Another suggestion- getting a boot /shoe dryer. Once my son started drying his sneakers every night- no more odor! And I now use it to dry all shoes after washing them- game changer
I have a daily driver shoe (NB 1080v12) that I use for anything that isn't dirty. My beater shoe (NB 806v1 waterproof) is used solely for gardening, working on cars, going up the attic, etc. Both models are discontinued so I hoarded 5 pairs to last me a few years lol. Surprisingly, my 1080s & socks don't stink. Maybe it's the cream I use? When I take them off I smell flowers/cocoa butter 😂
I find the laces and tongue, if fabric, of leather sneakers get dirty. I just take the laces out and soak in a little bowl of water with a touch of laundry detergent. Swirl and let sit. Then rinse and squeeze out water with a towel. Hang to dry. White laces again. The tongue? Haven't found a good method yet besides a little scrubbing but never seems to work as well. And outsole? Magic eraser. I've found them more effective than cleaner.
Thank you for the tip about the charcoal inserts. My daughter has a definite need for these. Most of her shoes cannot be machine washed, and baking soda didn't work. I think this just might. Love all your tips and videos!
My son recently got a stain on his new white fabric shoes, and I didn't want to wash the whole shoe. Tried spot treating it with laundry liquid, but it didn't remove it. Made a poultice of bicarb soda and peroxide and the stain disappeared.
What great tips on shoe cleaning! I recently did a shoe purge, I now have about 40 pair. I do live in a true 4 season climate so that is roughly 10 pair per season 😊 or so my brain rationalizes 😂
Thanks for the quick & helpful video. I haven’t searched to see if you have one…I’m interested in cleaning those high-detailed baseboards in the room you’re sitting in. I imagine you start with them clean and then run a dry duster (like swiffer) over them biweekly?? I have 10 pairs of shoes. 🤓
Well I wish I had seen this before spending $120 on a second pair of Birkentocks because I couldn't get the cat vomit stain off of my first pair! Good to know for future reference though. I think I'm in the same range as you, probably about 30 pairs of shoes. 😊
LOL😂 🙋 I’m that person that bought 50 of the shoe organizers! 😂 But they work very well! I have a LOT of shoes and I placed them inside of my Billy Bookcase that’s in my closet. Works excellent! I can see all my shoes (wink-wink which are also color coordinated). 😅
For stinky feet, use your underarm deodorant on your feet and they won’t stink, and your shoes won’t stink. I started using the Shea Moisture deodorant only on my feet because it is also very moisturizing . Also on sunny days , put them outside and let the sun sanitize them.
I love your content! I was hoping this video would help me, but it didn't. I have a pair of leather flsts that have a very strong chemical smell and when I wear them (always with 'socks') icansmell them from where I sit. It's absolutely horrid. Any suggestions on how to remove it? TYIA!
Down to 42 that fit well and are used based on the season & activity and store them in plastic shoe boxes with lids and cedar deodorizers - similar to the charcoal ones. I don't think that there's a set limit of shoes any person should be limited to based on number, it should be based on what they use, can take care of, and storage space.
I have 30 pair of shoes and 14 pair of flip flops/thong between the toes shoes. To be fair, 2 pair are lace-ups which I only wear when walking (never to the grocery or shopping); ❤4 pair are “winter” shoes that only get worn when it is cold enough to wear socks (we live in Florida); the remaining 24 pair of “workday shoes “ get worn on a rotating basis (I teach). The flip flops are what I live in-many are crocs. Melissa may not see this reply, but of those who do, can crocs be washed in the washing machine or in the dishwasher? Does anyone know?
Sorry, not a fan of the side camera angle. Feels like an interview and like you're talking with someone else and not me, especially when you predominately used it. Otherwise, love your content.
How... How does anyone have more than maybe 5 pairs tops? I have summer shoes, winter shoes, indoor slippers and a pair of ancient black shoes I only wear at funerals. I hate getting used to new shoes.
The same way some women have inner_beauty, some men have inner_money...you can't see it, but it's there. My goal is to have $30,000 in my bank account by Summer & I already got $2.46

Clear shoe boxes from the Container Store are my go to way to store shoes - stack them up.
Horders LOVE boxes.
@@randygravel2057 Spell it right, it’s Hoarders 😂
@@No-Name-f8p I’m not one
IKEA 'skubb' shoe boxes are good too

Looks like those shoes are getting a "charcoal makeover"!

I was wondering if you would talk about this topic almost a week ago. Thank you.

Probably 50 no trainers ever. Proper leather no plastic.
The link to the charcoal odor bags are only available on Amazon's Canadian site
Do you do any pre-washing or cleaning prior to putting shoes in the washer?

I cannot clean without music. Do you have any songs to recommend?
I have close to 300. Counting flip flops and slippers.
Are you a Centipede 😉

Any tips for football shoes
"stinky shoe society" 😂
I can't put shoes in the wash at the laundromat...what else can I do?
I had probably 30 pairs as well but my feet grew and most are too short now. Bummer
💕
I saved myself 150 bucks
Do you buy a new pair every time they get dirty?
Pairs of shoes I will never wear are crocs, and the awful converse. It’s just me.

Antiperspirant for the feet = no more smelly shoes for me.
Hi there sweetie pie hope you are well thanks for the ideas I 7 pairs of shoes love from Eugenie your friend xxx 💖🇦🇺💓
Lots not counting work boots

WOMP WOMP!
Yeah, I have no idea why she does that, trying to be cinematic or whatever
It’s become a trend. I don’t understand why anyone does it, let alone so many people

People like coordinating shoes with outfits. some people are obsessed and like collecting them. personally i only have 3 pairs
