      you will get a darker black in the final version if you use a photocopy from a printer that uses toner rather than ink. Most home printers don't use toner sadly.

    Quick question...I did a poster print (fed ex office laser) print 18X24 and used mod podge to adhere to canvas all was fine...started removing the paper and the transfer was looking great. Wet it looked awesome colors popping! then next day I did more paper removal and still yet I got paper hazing..I thought I had removed enough paper and clear coated it....but the transfer darkened and still yet paper hazing showing...I wonder if it can be salvaged,saved....Help Me! 🤕 Maybe the poster print paper was to thick????

    Yours really came out nice but my effort was a disaster. I don't have Gel so I used Acrylic medium mat. I used an ink jet printer to print a black and white photo on copier paper. What are your recommendations?

    5:37 you can use a gum gel to bring the colour through and to keep the white paper particles at bay.

  • @MelvinMama

    I tried this tonight and it didn’t work at all for me. 😔 It just turned up grey and streaky. Do you have recommendations for types of images? Like, high contrast?

    • @logidesigns9058
      @logidesigns9058 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      make sure your photocopy is printed using toner and not ink, toner will give you a darker black resulting in better contrast! you also might just have to go back over the image again to scrub more of the paper pulp off...

    better paper is waxed paper (postal labels are usually on it)it peels off easily without using water...and for the perfect transfer ,it is necessary ,to coat both surfaces, paper and substrate, with the medium....

    • @Olhamo
      @Olhamo ปีที่แล้ว

      hmm, so, are you saying, you could draw, let's say, onto waxed paper, and apply that as a transfer, ... just thinking out loud, so to speak.

      There two types of gel medium transfer. 1.) Gel medium Matte Transfer & 2.) Gel medium Gloss Transfer.
      He mentions about using a semi gloss transfer. Also, read the labels whenever you are buying. Hopefully this helps
