Hey Jesse! Thanks so much for reviewing my portfolio, I completely forgot I had submitted it so this was a pleasant surprise! Thanks for your kind words and suggestions
Hey Jesse! I needed some inspo to start fresh after deciding that I’m definitely starting my career as a graphic designer and your video was the first one a clicked on…it’s been a while since last time I watched something related to the industry…I just wanted to thank you for your raw content about freelancing. All the best bro 💕
Great video! Cool to see and hear what you think of the different portfolios :) Could I maybe suggest though, if you do more of these videos in the future, that you leave links to the portfolios you've checked out in either the description or in like a pinned comment or something? Just in case people like me wanna check them out for themselves :D
Great video! For my job, I regularly contract freelance designers and as much as a flashy website is impressive, it’ll always be the work itself that is the most important thing. I don’t know if I can say the same for a design studio, but I think it bares repeating for anyone seeing this and feeling crumby about their portfolio.
Hey man, I’m a really big fan, I’m a self taught designer and I’ve learned so much from you, I’m currently struggling with making money as a designer, I’d appreciate any advice you have 🙏
Hey! Nice video review, and thanks for the feedback / suggestions, I want to update my portfolio with taking in consideration of things that you've said here. Quick question: what's your opinion about the portfolio design, Designer should do it for the eyes of an art director (other senior designer) - with all the beautification and the projects made late night for the love / passion of design, (cause they (artdir/senior design) are in charge sometimes to say if to hire you or not. or to show works that are complex but not so design appealing, because usually works that are commercial they are not so "designeresque-pleasant" + sometimes designer come up with a solution that makes it clearer for the user to interact with the product (not only in product design). Thanks in advance for the reply! B. Nick - thanks for the vid again 🙏
Thanks for the video. Is it possible for the next one to turn off that Pinterest plugin, it's so distracting when you hover over every image that that red logo pops up in the top left, kind of takes away from people's designs. You are probably immune to it, as it's your computer. 🤠
Here we go with the imposter syndrome…
Yep feel like shit now. Deleting everything tomorrow

I have a completely different style, but something in your work and content really inspires me!
Ryan’s style is sooooo nice 🤩🤩
Any recommendations of free websites to create this kind of portfolio designs? I would love that mine gets closer to this!
Thank you so so much for these videos! Really helps to learn the do's and dont's when it comes to portfolios
Would love to know where people are hosting their pages? Is there a way of finding out?
Jesse, do you have any plans for making tutorials?
