How can you review this wheel 3 months ago and not mention the CDL DD. It’s a vastly superior wheelbase, and here is the killer part, for a similar price. Thrustmaster need to reduce their prices or make a better product. Talk about preying on ignorance. …

@@MrCelali It should technically, as the rim doesn't matter, it's just a dumb button box. Not sure if the button mappings would line up to an xbox controller though.

Good review. I like the fact that it is very financially accessible vs DD wheels. Looking to upgrade from my G923. Never thought I’d be hyped for a T300 from 2014 lol. Hopefully all add-ons like the T-LCM,TH8A and wheels all work with the new upcoming DD wheel from Thrustmaster

Any idea on this wheelbase Vs a G293?
Having said this wheel is almost 10 years old tech. For that, it was still so much ahead of its time of release. Even in 2023, people still buy it on sales. T248 is a good choice too but it cannot be modded.

Hey, I enjoy your reviews I’m waiting on some simsonn pedals I’m very excited! I currently use a tx and I had to make holes in the top casing and install a better fan and power the fan via USB to a hub. It’s been with me since 2014 and it’s almost time to update. I will keep it still for anyone who might want a casual experience or just something sentimental.

From the fastest sim driver I've seen online that's a great endorsement for the TX. I have one too & I'm right behind you, well more like half a lap but that's not down to the wheel :)
I have used a T300 for 6 years with satisfaction. I have only changed a bearing in 6 years and I think it is really good for the price,
I now use a DD wheel and of course it is so much better but for the quality / Price the thrustmaster is a very buy.

Just starting SIM racing. Started with controller on my PS5. Did quite a bit of research on wheels. From Hori, T80, T150, G29 T248. All the entry level wheels. But the T300 came up in a review. Starter to mid level wheel. Opted for it over the others. Swapping wheel's is a big plus. Also reviews said it was quiet. Cost me £30 more than the newer T248. But glad I did. It's fantastic for me. Quiet in the living room. While the Mrs watches TV. Tried it this week and she says it's really quiet. Unlike gear driven wheel's. Bought ACC and Automobalista 2 on my gaming PC. Love it.
You can't go wrong with the T300 and TX, they do a great all round job.

Had a TX458 for 5 years and sold it for the same price I paid for it, last year. I miss it, but want to go Direct Drive next! Not sure whether to wait for the Thrustmaster Direct Drive, or go Fanatec GT DD Pro

Hi friend. Excellent video. I've had this wheel for 5 years and it still works today. I haven't played for a while. I couldn't activate auto-clutch (MODE button + A). Nothing just happens. The red led stays on without blinking. Any solution? Thanks.

Bought a TX this week 2nd hand cheap like new. I'm upgrading from a g29 and the difference is enormous.
Also already had a TLCM pedals so now it's only missing a TM Open wheel add on.

Went G29 to TMX Pro to now T300 (Playstation version of this) and my god is this wheel amazing for the price. I intend on getting different rims for it in the future but for now the stock rim does a great job. You will smell a little burning rubber after a while of use which, at first I thought my new wheel was catching on fire but turns out it is completely normal with this base but besides that I love using it on iRacing, you get every little detail you need from the track.
I've had my g29 with a modded rim and modded pedals for 5 years now. I'm getting a tx base tomorrow with new pedals aswell
Heres my take on it all
Logitec = Japanese cars (great and affordable
Thrustmaster = Ford Mustang (Awesome but reasonable price)
Fanatec = AMG GT black (Awesome but over the top)
I chose thrustmaster based on one thing , the price of the Rims , and now 6 Rims later(plus 3 mod rims) plus the sparco shifter and H pattern I know I've made the right choice for myself.
Fanatec is more for professional Sim Racers (make money from it )
Thrustmaster Is more for the sim racing enthusiast
Logitech is for the Beginner to experienced
Crap take, especially with the CSL DD release. Fanatec not over the top at all. You paid too much for an inferior product. Try and justify it however you like.

I would not call Fanatec "awesome" or "over the top", Fanatec is a better consumer grade solution (commercial brand).
Is more like, you get a better quality of build (no plastics all over) and warranty (5 years) and features (support by every game & consoles).
Also provides a stronger FFB for sure (10Nm +).
But is it the only one you can buy? Hell no!
At least on PC!
Acuforce, Simucube, Simagic, Sim-Plicity just to name a few, will offer "better" wheel bases/solutions for similar money (or even less in case of top offerings from Fanatec).
Fanatec is not the only player in the more "expensive" sphere and definitely far away from being best (notchiness, oscillation issues just to name a few).

I use one for F1 on Xbox and eventually something failed in it. Just got it back fixed under warranty but it's not as good now as it originally was from the box.
I'm looking to get a wheel setup for Forza and possibly Asetto Corsa(dont know if I spelled that right) but my issue is I want to get something good to make sure that it lasts. I would orefer something belt driven like a Thrustmaster for the better force feedback but I am hooked on the looks of the Logitech G920. I would probably be getting the Fanatec shifter that is roughly $250 and probably the Thrustmaster pedal set that gets commonly used with the Logitech wheels since their pedals are known to not be the best, or atleast the brake pedal. Any advice for what I should do? My max budget is about $1250, maybe $1500 and I found a stand that I like the looks of for about $350. I would also be getting a handbrake since I am going to be doing drifting aswell.
For drifting, you want smooth wheel rotation, and the T300 and TMX are very smooth. And the FFB is quite a bit more refined and stronger compared to Logitech wheels.
Great video. Quick question if you dont mind, how does this compare to a thrustmaster tmx? Been using the tmx for years now and am looking for something a bit better. I know DD wheels are the endgame, but I dont have the room for a cockpit and enjoy the ease of use with the thrustmaster wheels. Basically just asking if going from a tmx to tm would be a noticable and worth while purchase
Yes, it is a good upgrade over the TMX. The FFB detail is enhanced (and stronger), and the wheel rotates more smoothly. The difference is very noticeable.

i have a problem wth it, it eorks just normal with my xbox, but when connected to my pc, the computer recognises it, the weel calibrates, but NO games see the wheel or pedals. can someone help? (also on mine, when connected to pc, the xbox ''light'' is still on.)
Quick question if you still see comments for this video... is that screw that is below the collar suppose to go in all the way, or only until it's tight?

Hello there. On mine, the screw goes in all the way. If it doesn't, don't force it, as long as the collar isn't getting loose then it's doing the job.

It seemed tight when I first put but wheel on, but only took a few hours for the collar to come loose... I night try to put the screw in tighter and see what happens.
You just need to be careful as it's a plastic thread and not over tighten it and chew up that thread.

where did you get your adapter for aftermarket wheel. i have bought one for drifting for my t300 and i broke 3 times. he sent me more but they just kept braking. how has yours held up? i need one that is metal or stronger
I 3D printed mine, completely solid at 100% infill so it's not going to break.

Does the TX leather edition come with the wheel base? Or do you need to buy it separately?
TX leather edition is an entire setup, including wheelbase and pedals.

I have found a Thrustmaster TX 458 Italia with Logitech g29 pedals for 200 euros, As well as a Thrustmaster Ferrari 599xx EVO Alcantara Edition Wheel which I am thinking of buying along with it for 80 euros, 280 euros in total, do you think it is worth it? It will be my first ever force feedback wheel and I plan on using and learning how to drift with it for drifting in games like Car X Drift Racing, Forza Horizon, and Assetto Corsa.
The price is quite good for a full setup. The G29 pedals aren't amazing, but they'll do.
Is the thrustmaster f430 the same as the tmx or t150 ? Looking at maybe molding or upgrading to something else.
No the F430 version is a much older and cheaper option as far as I know. It just got 270 degrees of rotation (900 degrees for TMX, 1080 degrees for T150) and way worse FFB which cant compete with the TMX/ T150 FFB systems. F430 to TMX is a difference like night and day id say

Hey! Such a great video! I have a question, i own and still play with a tx 458 italia edition and i am looking to upgrade. I have my eyes set on the t300 rs Gt, would you consider that a good upgrade ? I play on PC. Also is the tx servo base the same as the t300 servo base? Last question. What would you recommend me coming from a tx 458 italia edition? I want a 3 pedal system and shifter after so long playing flappy and 2 pedal set smh. Hopefully you reply. Hi there. The T300 and TX wheelbase is the same thing so it's not an upgrade. If you want to stay with Thrustmaster then the TS-PC (or TS-XW, it's the same as the TS-PC ) would be the next step up. Although the new Fanatec CSL DD would be the smartest upgrade right now.

Seen some review vids too and everyone is blown away by fanatec! I sadly dont have enough of a paygrade to get a fanatec setup, but hopefully in the future one day i will have a fanatec setup. @@JaidanBalban If you run the numbers as the CSL DD fairs pretty well price-wise against the TS-PC. And you're getting a lot more for the money so it's worth thinking about.

Too many people seem to be complaining about this wheelbase breaking. Do you have anything to say about that?
This wheelbase came out in 2013, and it's very popular, so who knows how many thousands of these are out there. Reading forum threads always give a biased opinion if the thread is about a product breaking in a concentrated message thread, you can find this sort of thing for any product. It's easy to get wrapped up and think everything is a piece of junk under these circumstances. I very much doubt it's a product plagued with issues, considering how long this wheelbase has been on the market.

Unfortunately I can't answer that, I have not tested the TS-XW or TS-PC.

Thanks for the review. I have been looking to get this but they seem to be out of stock everywhere. Anyone have an idea as to why? Is this is a COVID/supply chain issue? I have looked everywhere and I cannot find one that is even close to MSRP
I read an article recently that Thrustmaster has reported they're having difficulty sourcing materials so that seems to be the cause. They are also planning to temporarily raise prices until the end of 2021.

Why would you buy this base now the DD CDL has come out? Really? Thrushnaster need to pull their thumb out of the bum and make a decent product for a fair price.

Quality yes. Feel no, the ergonomics are completely different. I prefer the TMX rim.

The TX is Xbox compatible. The T300 is PlayStation compatible. Both run on PC. So the TX is the one you want.

I like Logitech better because it feels better when turning. I don't like that belt sound at least in a game like dirt where you have to turn it a lot. Of course TM is more powerful but still..
Unlike T248 and the cheaper ones in the Thrustmaster range, the TX and T300 have nice, smooth and quiet mechanisms.
I lost the screw on this turn where you put the wheel in, can someone say where i can find a same screw?
You can just substitute it for any screw that fits.

If the clutch doesn't register then it sounds like a fault in the sensor. Possibly a wire has broken loose. Open up the pedals and take a look.

There's plenty of after market mods out there mate , quick releases , brake mods , numerous gt3 style rims Mclaren , Lambo gt3 etc, 👍

You said that the clamp can hold 6 to 7 cm tables. Is it 6 or 7? My table in 7 cm thick and I wonder if I can attach the base to the table
I don't have the wheelbase anymore, so I can't check for you. But I think 7 cm is probably too thick, and not giving the clamp any slack.

pretty much every thrustmaster rim can go on any wheelbase.. shit i even took my t150 rim off bought an adapter and use it on the tx since i prefer a round wheel but the weight of the aftermarket ones takes alot of force feedback off so the weight of the rim that comes on the tx but round .. works great. and force ur fan on all the time so u never burn out the motor
I have used the TX Leather Edition with the T3PA pedal set and it is a compelling entry level offering.
I had fun with it and the execution and compatibility is really good.
I have upgraded to the Simucube 2 Pro since and I must say, the TX does feel like a distant memory.
If compared to the DD wheel, TX feels a bit like a toy.
Don't get me wrong, it does what it is meant to do, and delivers really good experience, but the DD wheel is just another level of immersion and smoothness.
Overall, if your budget is limited, I would suggest to get the TX, however if you are looking to buy a new Direct Drive wheel, then the SImucube 2's are insanely good!

Technically, you don't need to do anything other than plugging the wheelbase into your Xbox, and it works. Make sure you have updated your wheelbase with the latest firmware, maybe that's the problem.

You will need a Windows based PC for updating the firmware. There's no other option.

I just bought a new Thrustmaster T300 Ferrari Integrale and I have the problem on the PS4/PS5 (in every game) that the steering wheel starts spinning right and left on a straight road when I put my hands of the wheel. I just can't imagine that's this is normal. I've tried some settings. Unfortunately without success..
I can't be the only one.. please some advice or help.. 😔
I don't have a PS console so it's not a problem I'm familiar with or heard of. But have you made sure PS mode is engaged and it's not set in PC mode. Check the booklet for setting this.

You change the mode with the buttons on the wheelbase.
i had a g27 and sold it cose it have some idk how to describe...loose center, its about 1cm left and right, i hate that feel ,like i rolling a spring, dont get it worng its not the spring effect from ffb, i speak about resistence, in center its so weak and loose, and when i drive in corner it getting harder,and back to loose, i tryed 100 setup of ffb in different games none was helped, my friend have the same wheel, i found that same ting on his wheel, so my conclusion is thats g27 stupid ffb, i hope you understand what was i try to say, now my question is Does the TX have the same type of ffb, i know maybe the DD wheels wont have that but i dont have the option to buy it
The TX is a big upgrade over the G27. I'm aware of the centre deadzone on the Logitech wheels. The TX does not have this problem and the FFB does not rattle either like the G27.

I got 2 of these, both died in a few days span, didn't even really do anything with it. Thrustmaster qc is a disaster.
