    Thanks for review!
    I have just received this piece. Actually my very first Orient watch. And my first impression is awesome. Cool watch, Sapphire Crystal, great clarity, fantastic lume, and unbeatable price range.
    Silicone strap is comfortable. And I prefer this more than bracelets. It’s more practical I believe.
    Cheers

    Mine weighs 117g on a folding clasp stainless steel Milanese mesh bracelet. Crown is a bit small but all the rest is great. Good review. A best buy below $200.

      Thank you for watching Mario. Yes, I think it's an excellent quality/value watch for £190. Also upgrading to a Strapcode Super-O Boyer (Oyster) bracelet makes the watch a level above its price point. See link below. Regards.

    Thanks for review John, very thorough as usual. Yes, this is a good value piece. I have the Mako 2 so probably not too different.

    • @watchreviews4k
      @watchreviews4k  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching Mike. The Mako 2 is an excellent piece. It uses the same caliber F6922 which is a very good movement. Orient make some great watches such as the Kamasu, Mako, Bambino. A credible alternative to Seiko at similar price points. Wear yours in good health. Regards.

    Great review, been looking for a review of the rubber strap for a long time, thanks.

      Thank you for watching Tomas. I previously owned the bracelet version, and disliked the hollow end links, and pressed metal clasp The silicon rubber strap version is more comfortable to wear for long periods as its much lighter. As stated in my review, the strap feels softer than Seiko rubber straps. Regards.

    I just gave Siko monster for this Orient Kamasu cause It was hard to sell it and I'm not a fan of Seiko Monster. I really like that Orient and now seeing your review I love it even more!

    • @watchreviews4k

      Congratulations Marko. Excellent choice. Wear yours in good health. The Orient F6922 is the same as the Epson YN55A used by San Martin. Its an excellent movement, equal quality and reliability to the NH35A. Strapcode make an excellent quality bracelet specifically to fit the Kamasu (see link below). It is very expensive, but worth it for the quality. Regards, #WR4K

      Sometimes Strapcode bracelets can be found cheaper on Amazon. I just checked and the Kamasu one isn't cheaper than Strapcode's website which is a shame. I really like the Kamasu case shape, it has nice tapered lugs like a 16610 Submariner Date. Regards, #WR4K

    I dont know what it was but i sold my kamasu because of the crystal. It leaves fingerprints so freakin easily. I think because it has ar coating on the outside. The rest of the watch is decent if you can get it for 150 dollar

    Great review as always I wonder if you can review loreos version of the submariner as well as tisell vintage submersible as I've recently bought both and would love to know what you think of the two.

    • @watchreviews4k
      @watchreviews4k  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for watching Paul. I am not interested in reviewing the Loreo. Reason being, I think the Pagani Design/Bersigar Submariner homages are better specification. The Loreo lacks a lume pip on the bezel, and also has a pressed metal clasp. I would like to review the Tissell. I emailed them asking to loan me one for review; but they didn't reply. If you like Submariner homages I highly recommend a 39mm Steinhart Ocean One ceramic. Regards.

    • @playboypaul1
      @playboypaul1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@watchreviews4k been waiting a month for the tisell apparently be here in the next week or so but I'll definitely check out the steinhart thanks

    • @watchreviews4k
      @watchreviews4k  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like the look of Tissell watches, and also the use of Miyota movements which are excellent. The problem is the quality control, and build quality. Some are good, some are bad. It really is the luck of the draw if one gets a good/bad one. On a positive note, their customer service is good; so returning a faulty watch for replacement or refund does resolve these problems. They have improved a lot over the years; and are better quality than a Pagani Design. However the overall quality and specification is nothing like a Steinhart Ocean One. The thing to weigh up is; the Ocean One 39mm isn't much more expensive than the Tissel. However one is getting a Swiss made watch, with a credible Swiss made movement; either the ETA 2824-2 or SW200-1 (both excellent). Many collectors go on the same journey; buying the low-tier Submariner homages; Loreo, Pagani Design, Tissell; etc. Then they want more quality and move up to a Swiss mid-tier Submariner homage like the Ocean One. At that point you will realise the different in quality between a 350 USD Tissel and 500 USD Ocean One. Yes, it's a big jump; an extra 150 USD on the price. However that is exactly what one is getting; 150 USD more quality control, build quality, specification. Swiss made, Swiss movement; compared to Korean made, and Japanese movement. No offence implied; for 350 USD yes, the Tissel is a good watch, with a good movement. Honestly, my advice to you is to save up the 500 USD needed for an Ocean One 39. See link below to the one I recommend. Regards.

    Hi great review.... I have this watch and my only negative is the crown as well.... Mine is difficult to screw back down. It is really stiff (once you have managed to engage the thread) and it feels like it is still manually winding as you tighten it up? Is this normal and did you get the same result? I suppose this is not helped by me being a lefty!! New subscriber by the way!!

    • @watchreviews4k
      @watchreviews4k  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for watching. Congratulations. Excellent choice. Yes, this is normal. What can help is applying some silicon grease to the internal crown thread, and external crown tube thread using a toothpick. Then screwing the crown out and in a few times to work the lubricant into the threads. This doesn't harm the rubber o-rings, and if anything improves the water resistant sealing. Another thing you can do is wind the crown anti-clockwise first, then clockwise as you screw it down. This disengages the manual wind function so you won't be winding it as you screw down the crown. I hope this helps. Wear yours in good health. Regards.

    Mate I have 8 inch wrist, your thoughts and opinion should I purchase it or is it too small for me? Thanks

    • @watchreviews4k
      @watchreviews4k  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching. Yes, you should purchase it. It fits an 8" wrist well. Also consider upgrading the strap, or bracelet; to a Strapcode Super O-Boyer. They make one specifically to fit the Kamasu case which is expensive, but excellent quality. It changes the feeling of the Kamasu to being a 300 Euro+ watch. Regards.

    Great review, I really like this blue dial but the red dial variant is the big winner. I've yet to try an orient as I find Seikos wear extremely well and I'm not sure this would be the same. Maybe one day. I do really like this, definitely hard to beat pound for pound
