Nice! Someone mentioned it in the comments and I gotta admit I never thought about changing the bezel till that point… now it’s everything I think about 😂 cheers for watching!
I have more than 40 watches, Tag Heuers, Longines, Seikos, Tissot, Cartier, etc, and sometimes I sell one of my watches because I don’t use it so much, and guess what? My Orient Kamasu green not for once I thought to sell it, I really love this watch! Sometimes I just think: Why I spent so much money in some of watches I have, when I look at 200 eur Kamasu!!! Really!
Completely understand, I have flipped many watches but never even came close to selling my Kamasu… and probably never will… that watch is just amazing for the money
Great first video my friend. I'm very happy that your first video was on the legend that is the Kamasu. A watch very dear to my heart. I absolutely love my red Kamasu. And yes, I still have it in my collection (over 2 years later). Also, very funny that you brushed the caseback 😂
Hahhaah! Thank you so much, hombre! I love your videos! Thus I know you own the red one! And I am super happy that someone shares the love for this piece! And yeah, I thought I would make it more toolly… really stupid thing to do 😂 thank you very much for your comment! I didn’t even hope that you would watch it not to mention comment on it! Really appreciated!
Great video. Perhaps I'm overly-cynical, but I often wonder whether watch reviewers intentionally create hype around watches they're looking to offload, hence those watches often don't feature in SOTC videos. You have a new subscriber.
Great video. I have a real watch problem. I watch so many reviews on so many watches but i seem to always find my way back to this watch. I really need to get one finally!
Thank you for this video, I'm on the verge of pulling the trigger on Kamasu as my first real watch, it's great to see you like yours so much after years of use!
You’re Absolutely welcome! :) I am glad you liked it and I can only recommend Kamasu as the first watch… I really do still like mine and still wear it very often. I don’t think you would regret. Thanks for watching!
Just ordered the Kamasu 2 with the gradient color dial and round antiqued indices. I have a feeling a lot of people flip these because they catch the bug and just want something else new and shiny. I'm a budget collector sort of on the other end... this is kind of my "pause button" watch after collecting like a tornado for 6 months or so and getting to a 3 watch rotation collection I'm happy with. It can become like a mental illness, and I think taking breaks is good (at least for me). Glad to see a longer term review on one. Keep up the good work!
Tell me about it! 🤦♂️ I made a goal to only buy one watch in 2024… I don’t think I’m gonna make it 😂 I really like the new gradient dials! If I was buying it now, I would probably get that too… thank you very much for watching and commenting!
thanks for honest review after a long time of use, recently got the green one as my everyday office, work watch. keep up great content. look forward to hearing about the promaster, have the 'ray mears' edition and agreed their Lume if off the charts.
Thank you! Yeah it feels like the promaster just plays whole different game whatsoever… funny is I got the Fujitsubo as well and that one is way more expensive but the loom isn’t that good… I mean still great, just not as the promaster’s 🤷♂️ thanks for watching and commenting!
I need to hear all your stories All your reviews. Your thoughts on cars, shoes, music. Of course watches ! Bro I didn’t know this was your first video or that you had 21 subs. I clicked bc it was on my feed. So glad I did! Good luck with the channel and let’s get to 1k subs!!!!
😂 hahha thank you very much, hombre!!! I will make more videos soon, currently traveling and making one for my only (so far) GMT watch- Vostok 😁 I am so glad you liked it!
I've owned and gotten rid of two Kamasus (black and blue) and two red Ray III/Kamasu IIs. These watches provide great specs for the money, but the annoying things you mentioned (small crown, hard to grip bezel, disproportionately wide lugs, no AR coating, etc.) are all contributing factors to why I didn't keep any of them. Orient could have made small changes to make this watch substantially better. People should keep their expectations in check when they buy this watch. The Kamasu is certainly a gateway watch to the world of watch buying/hoarding/collecting.
I agree 100% and I admit I am bias when it comes to this watch… I simply love it despite its flaws… but also understand that they would be off-putting for a lot of people
This is actually a 100% truthful summary. My gateway to watch collecting and damn I thought I was the only one who thought the bezel was annoying to deal with. And sapphire without anti reflective is…🤦🏾♂️
Great review. Just bought the red dial. It's a stunner. It's my 2nd orient. I've owned and sold many Seiko's, but kept my orient. You can't argue with the quality Vs price. Yeh bracelet is ok, but is easily upgraded or changed. Orient is one of my favourite watch brands.
Thank you very much, hombre! Exactly! Makes me wonder if they are going to change the prices just like Seiko did (hope not) the quality vs what you get is great… thanks for watching!
I agree. The Kamasu is underrated because of its individual components (jangly bracelet, wide lug width, annoying crown guard, etc.), but it's one of those things that's greater than the sum of its parts. You don't have to baby it because it can take abuse. I swapped out the factory bracelet for a Strapcode jubilee-style bracelet, and I followed that with a gray perlon strap so I have options. I'm thinking of getting a brown leather strap soon - might go well with my blue Kamasu! Great video! Thanks for the review.
Thank you very much, hombre! I wore mine on a brown leather for some time also :) I really liked the way it looked, but it somehow didn’t feel right…. It took away the toolishness for me - and I like to think about that watch as something that exactly like you say, can take the beating
Touché n well made video mate. Nnnn... You're right about the Orient Kamasu... Or mostly the Orient line of watches indeed... In spite of their quality n heritage. I have an Orient Mako II, blue dial... Basically a Kamasu without the Sapphire Crystal n I wear the heck out of it. But each time I mentioned Orient, most pp just go... Wha...?? That heft, that sunburst dial, that aluminium click bezel, that in-house movement, those bracelets (wear very comfy on my wrists though), that wearability, we could even swim or dive in it. Man, I totally get what you meant cos I wore it for Everything. N it doesn't even look outta place... Thank you, for sharing what most Orient watch owners would've n honestly, should've shared more about their Orient Makos or Kamasus... It's truly the Quintessential automatic watch... N at this price point too? Bar none.
Thanks, amigo!!! That is exactly why I made it, I wanted to show that there are people who actually love the watch for what it is! And I 💯 % agree with you! The price is more than fair for getting a watch with actual history and original design plus the specs! Thank you for watching!!!
❤ totally agree… the strapcode is one of the ones I am looking at as well… choosing between that one and the Jubilee from Long Island :) thanks for watching!
Good first video and your point is err, on point. The Kamasu is a great watch and I have owned a few and unfortunately they have always ended up being sacrificed for the next shiny watch. I still find myself hovering over the bid button on ebay every now and then and then I pull myself back 😐
Nice idea for a review. I'm pretty new to watches and I have noticed a lot of reviewers tell me about great watches that are NEVER in their SOTC videos. You have to take everything with a pinch of salt (putting it nicely). Good luck with your channel.
Thank you, hombre! That is what I hoping for, I wanted to show that is watch is actually worth owning, not only because someone else tells you so… thanks for watching
Hi! Thank you and welcome aboard!!! The strap is actually from Aliexpress I just found this on AliExpress: 16,09€ | Premium Grade Fluoro Rubber Watch Strap 20mm 22mm For New FKM Watch Bands Diving Bracelet Quick Release Wrist Belt Accessories a.aliexpress.com/_ExYjZpF I am so far super happy with it
What a great first video. Nice work. I bought a blue kamasu for my brother. He didn’t wear it (too shiny) I really liked it but ended up selling it on and buying him a blue eco drive pro master on FKM rubber which he wears all the time. He surfs and the citizen is just pure indestructible tool.
Can’t blame him! Ingot a red promaster myself and love it too, it feels like a proper tool that can survive just about anything… thank you for watching and commenting! It’s really motivating!
"Hello.. I have this green Orient Kamasu for 2 months now and I'm really satisfied. I love the aesthetics; it could have been 44mm for my taste and wrist, but its 41.8mm is quite good. It has very good accuracy controlled with an atomic clock. In these 2 months, it has a deviation of +0.62 s/day on the wrist, and +3 s/day at rest. Greetings from Argentina. You have a new subscriber. Success with the channel!"
Hola y muchísimas gracias, compañero!!! Mi amigo también tiene la esfera verde y es una maravillosa! A mi me encanta que es 41mm… es “suficiente” para mi muñeca 😁 Bienvenido a mi canal! Thank you very much again!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it and its very motivating to read, as I was super nervous to publish it in the first place! Thanks again, I really hope you will like the next videos also!
I own a burgundy dial Kamasu, and I love it. Orient is everything Seiko (it’s “big brother”) is not in terms of value for price, features like sapphire crystals, WR, lume, build quality (everything lines up). I have had mine for several years and it is in my regular rotation with the rest of my collection. In my experience, dissatisfaction with any watch stems from buying it as a “substitute” for another watch. That never works.
Right? I tried the “substitution” with couple of models from AliExpress and I actually ended up selling all of them. The burgundy dial looks amazing and I would lie if I said I wasn’t feeling any regrets after buying the black one… but overall I am super happy with it… thanks for watching and commenting
At an early age, when I started as a watch collector, my very first watch was an Orient. But today, I have around 40 different brands but altogether, I have 4 Orient. I really appreciate the Orient watches as they aren't that expensive and you get value for your money. I recently bought the Kamatsu Red dial, the kamatsu blue dial limited edition.. The Mako 2, etc but still I'm not done with that brand, I'll try buy some more soon.
Modding this with a Long Island bezel replacement really changed it, I now love wearing it. I put it on a tapered bracelet. it gets lots of compliments and i get to say i helped build it.
@WatchWatch-ck6xl I bought it because of the hype and wasn't happy at all. To me, the bezel looks cheap. Replacing it was a game changer . One of the most beautiful watches in my collection. I went for coin edge bezel with Sub style markings.
Hahhah 😂 glad you appreciate it! Coke is my cryptonite 🙄 thank you very much for watching! I am honestly blown away and very humbled, my best scenario was like 800 views… this is very motivational!
Absolutely brilliant 'review'! Insightful, funny, and succinct! Immediately subscribed. Also the 51st (roughly) Kamasu video I've watched...might finally be time for me to give in to temptation!
Your friends are right. You're a natural at this presentation style. You had a lot to say, you kept it organized and interesting, and every minute didn't lose my interest. It's not a watch that I care about, but I was interested because it was you talking about it.
Thank you so much! ☺️ honestly it was way out of my comfort zone, first I recorded it, watched it and deleted everything… It took me a while to try again 😂 really appreciate this comment! Thanks again!
Yep got to echo eveyone who has said great first video, I feel like you must of had another channel or had a job in presenting or at least sales!! Good review also. I like reviews of watches I can actually afford.
Hahha thank you, hombre! But actually no, I work in IT 🤷♂️ I wouldn’t make a great sales representative, trust me 😂 thank you again!!! Hope to release more reviews soon!
Thank you, hombre! I don’t think you will regret… I still wear this watch very often and when it comes to loom, this still the etalon I compere the other watches to… all the best!
@@WatchWatch-ck6xlI bought it I’m inlove with this watch I just hate the rattling noise the band makes thanks for an honest review I would have never bought it
The kamasu was my first good decision in watch buying too lol. I have the green and love it. The small crown is a major problem for me, bit it's hard to find $200 watches that are perfect. Great video!
Hahahha I think I think a lot of people would have it that way… it is a really sensible and really damn good first watch… or really damn good watch in general… I still love mine And I always will😁 thanks for watching!
I really loved your video, captivating to the end! I have the dark blue-green Orient Kamasu on different NATOs every day. Yes, the crown unfortunately is small, but one can live with it. As you said, it shines in everything else. I have the 37 mm black Citizen Promaster. It was hard adjusting to the size, but the lume is a WOW! factor indeed, it is my night watch as well. Keep up this energy!
Hi! Thank you very much!!! I will do my best to try to keep it up… and with my Kamasu, I am constantly torn between Natos and the rubber I had it on in the video… that is probably still my favorite- but I think its got to do a lot with the fact that I got the black dial - it somehow works together… I think I would wear the green on on Nato all the time as well 😁 thanks again for watching!
@@WatchWatch-ck6xl You're welcome! Well, yes the balck dial works really well with the rubber strap. I think the dark green goes well too with black Nato, but with Natos the thing is, it is almost you have a new watch every day...
Spot on review. I like this watch so much I bought the red and the teal versions. The new Mako 3 fixes the smaller crown so I expect the next version Kamasu to also have this new sized crown. This watch still holds strong as the best budget dive watch with heritage and in house movement in 2024. I hope they remove the crown guards and taper the bracelet from 22 to 18 in the next release and add the bigger crown. The bracelet can be easily swapped out.
Thank you very much! Completely agree! Even with it’s “flaws” its one of the best things to spend your 200$ on! I still love it… have to admit that I really like the Mako line… especially the more colorful ones ;) thank you for watching!!!
I purchased my kamasu two years ago. I went with the legendary “almost green almost blue” dial and boy it’s a thing of beauty. I have the same annoyances as you. The crown is way to small and slippery. The bracelet dimensions didn’t bother me as much but the end links did. Sounds like shaking o bag of change every time I move my hand so eventually I bought a new bracelet. I went for a jubilee stile because for me is much more comfortable and looks way cooler. But with all of that in mind I still have it and I love it. I don’t treat it like a baby, it’s a tool watch at the end of the day and it does its job exemplary. Btw I’m shocked that your bezel looks that good. Mine is full of bangs and dings. Maybe I should go with a ceramic one.
My friend has got this legendary green variant and I gotta agree… it is a thing of beauty! I somehow managed not to scratch the bezel, but the case is full of scratches 😁 cheers, hombre!!!
Nice Forteller (intro video) Always wanted to get an Orient, no idea why I have not. I am a cheap watch collector...currently at 38, but collection has bounced between 32 and 48. Yeah, I too would say wrong watch for your wedding....my wife and I wore our Excitons for our wedding. Just subbed, looking forward to seeing what else you have. Cheers from Atlantic Canada!!!
Thank you, hombre! The Forteller was actually a gift from my wife and I cannot be happier with it, definitely one of my favorite pieces! There is just nothing fundamentally wrong with it… and hollu damn 48!?? 😂 that is an awesome collection I would say… I am trying to keep the “one in one out” policy and keep my collection bellow 20… but it’s difficult 🙄 I don’t know how unbiased I can be with Orient, but I would say get one… the Kamasu is just something special for me and its really good value for money. Thank you for watching and commenting, amigo! Massively appreciate the response
I own two of these, the same black dial on bracelet that you have and the black with gold trim on rubber. Both are great, accurate, legible and the action of the bezel is perfect. I have been experimenting with small diameter 36/38mm watches for the last year, so the Orient watches don't come out much these days. But only because I like the smaller watches on my 6 1/2 inch wrist, not the quality.
I really and I mean really like the black and gold one - Ii just wasn’t sure if I could pulled that one off, since it was my first watch… if I was buying it again I would probably try 😁 have you tried the new smaller Bambino? That is … “tempting” but I don’t really dress up all that often to own a dress watch
@@WatchWatch-ck6xl I also sometimes feel the black and gold is too "flashy" for me, I like to be subdued. In terms of Orient, I bought the recently introduced Mako 40 in white dial. It's a bit smaller, has a 20mm bracelet (no taper) and has a look that falls between tool watch and dress watch. They have some other colors that look nice.
Like your first ever content. Had it and bought used. It’s a green dial and loving it. Among few of my affordable watches, this is the most comfortable on wrist after changing to a rubber strap. Must be due to the mid size, short lug to lug length and definitely the slim case back. Agree to your review. I would think this is close to perfect if the crown is bigger, and the bezel is fully aligned with the dial markers. I observed mine, as well as all the other video on TH-cam not all the bezel markers are aligned with dial minute markers. Now I want to watch your other videos
Thank you very much, hombre! I had couple of Kamasus in hands, my close friend has a green dial also and all of those I saw were aligned perfectly:) so we got lucky… and exactly - putting it on a good quality rubber makes it almost perfect for me… very comfortable… Thank you very much for watching and commenting! I really appreciate it!
I think you won’t make a mistake with any…. Mako feels a bit bigger and masculine, Kamasu on the other hand more sleek and can be dressed up easier I think… anyway… good luck!!!
Really cool video and review. I got my first Orient ( a Mako-3 - Matte Blue ) and love it and wear it often. Keeping my eye out on a couple of other Orient watches. Thanks for sharing your review. Looking forward to future videos!....oh yeah..I subscribed!
Thank you so much!!! This is really motivating to read and I feel humbled! P.s. the Mako is amazing and it was one of the options, my friend has got a blue one as well and it feels more masculine than Kamasu in my opinion. Thank you again, hombre!
This was the first watch i modded. The strap replacement was easy peezy but once i switched out the bezel with a coin edge version and ceramic insert it brought the entire watch together and now i cant stop staring at it when i wear it. The way i see it, the wide lug width, the lack of AR, and the small crown are the design flaws that keep this watch affordable. For $200-$250 understand what youre buying into and keep your expectations open. You never know
Someone mentioned modding it and replacing the bezel and I can’t stop thinking about it now 😂 I am actually a fan of aluminum mate inserts, but I think the coin edge would suit a whole lot better! And I completely agree! You have to have reasonable expectations with watches for that price, but for what it’s worth, Orient delivers here - I think that for the price you pay it’s an amazing option… thank you very much for watching and commenting, hombre! Massively appreciated
Thank you very much! I really do this cuz its my hobby and talk about watches I currently own in the collection, so it’s difficult not to be biased, but I try 😁 it’s incredibly motivating to read this! I hope I will not disappoint moving on! Cheers, compañero!
I put my red Kamasu on a Miltat Rollball bracelet. Looks awesome. I have one question, your bezel insert looks like it is new, mine looks like I routinely rub it along the pavement. Does your bezel insert protrude above the crystal like mine does? It's the only real bummer as far as I'm concerned, using a painted aluminium bezel to protect a sapphire crystal is like holding a bullet to propel a gun.
Hi! Actually no, it almost looks like the bezel insert is a bit sunken in the bezel it self, if it makes sense. I don’t take any special care or precautions, the watch was used almost as a beater for some time, but the bezel insert holds up very well… might be just your piece? My friend has got a green Kamasu and he abused just as much as I did and the bezel insert looks also brand new. So not really sure here, amigo :/ thanks for watching and commenting! Need to check the bracelet you mentioned!
Hello! Sure thing - it was a random pick from Aliexpress: I just found this on AliExpress: 16,65€ | Premium Grade Fluoro Rubber Watch Strap 20mm 22mm For New FKM Watch Bands Diving Bracelet Quick Release Wrist Belt Accessories a.aliexpress.com/_EINDLxJ
While I don’t own this watch I do have 3 orients. My first was a Ray II with steel band and that beautiful radient blue dial. My next was a Black dial Kanno. My third was the red dial Kanno. I really like the size of the 44 mm Kanno. I did not want to go 3 watches deep into the same brand but comparing divers under $500 it’s tough to beat Orient. I have a seiko SSK diver also and don’t feel it’s any better.
I hear you, amigo… when you look at bigger brands today, Orient is totally up there to pick… I still hover over getting a Bambino, especially now with the new models… but also, I don’t think I would have a good excuse to wear a dress watch… I never dress up 🤷♂️ thanks for watching and commenting!
Good, honest review. I got the red dial one and ordered a curved end black rubber strap to change out the bracelet once it arrives. I might have to change the crown if it's a real in the ass.
The red one is probably and honestly the best pick still… I somehow came to peace with the crown… not ideal, but its just a little flaw, little pricey to pay for otherwise amazing watch 🤷♂️ congrats to yours, hombre!!!
I used to have the blue and added the strapcode bracelet. That’s a good addition if you like a bracelet on your watch. The dial is very nice and cool. I sold the watch just because I felt it was large, despite people saying this watch wears small. I wish they would make the lugs 20mm. 22mm is just too large. I also think this would have been better with white markers instead of the yellow ones.
Totally agree with the lugs, 20mm would make the watch more balanced in my opinion… but I can’t help to love it despite all that… on a good strap, the watch just does it for me
Loved your video. I have a blue Kamasu on a blue leather strap. It is a great watch and keeps accurate time. I wear it (or my Citizen Eco-drives and Casios) far more than my fancy Swiss watches…..
I saved some money by getting it on a rubber strap, and replaced it with a blue Bond NATO, goes nice with the dial. I like it, and it looks just blingy enough without being gaudy.
Smart move, and if I had some experience before, I would probably do the same… the original bracelet is just on the same level as the watch head ;) thanks for watching and commenting!

It is the perfect first watch, hombre! I still own it after switching so many other watches and still absolutely love it… got 7” wrist… I love it… it is not going anywhere
Great daily wearer!!! I still absolutely love this watch… for a while I wanted to buy one of the new Makos - I really like the design, but I don’t want to neglect my Kamasu 😁 I bought the strap here: Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. @@WatchWatch-ck6xl , You have great screen presence, your speech pattern is very pleasant and you have presented us with a very comprehensive review of this watch . I have the "teal" version of the Kamasu and I can confirm everything you said about it. One thing I should point out is that my Kamasu has an accuracy that has simply astounded me: under + 30 seconds per week (I wear it every 2 days, in alternance with some of my other 12 watches, so I never check the accuracy every day, I just re-adjust it every Saturday). I see you have quite a lot of interesting watches in your collection, you should continue with those.
That will totally not disappoint you, the red one is just mesmerizing! Hope you will get yours soon! Thank you very much for watching and I hope to make more videos soon! It’s very motivating to read, as I wasn’t even sure whether or not to publish the video… its way out of my comfort zone! 😁

Thats cheap, will be ordering one for my Red Kamasu. Additionally I also own two Helms, the Miyako in grey and Khuraburi Ti black. I’ve used the black Helm RS2 strap on my Kamasu and it looks great, but now I want one just like what you have shown here. Cheers
Hi! It is and I think that was the reason why it was recommended so much in the first place, a diver from major Japanese brand with sapphire crystal for around 200 EUR… not a single scratch❤️ thanks for watching!
I am still owning one , and planned to get rid of it so many times untill i finally moded it to make it look super sick changing the bezel as this will keep killing you over time then since i have the red one you need to have that read color pop so went for a stealth black bezel insert and finally a burgundy nato its a killer now and plans to invest it others after having to spend almost equal to the watch is keeping me calm appreciating it beauty.
Just reading it is like 🤤 would like to see that one! Sounds like an awesome project, hombre… and you also made me think more about changing the bezel 🤔 thanks for watching and commenting!
My black/gold Kamasu was my second watch ever. I have never even thought about any of these issues. Sure, the crown is small and requires a tenth of a second’s worth more effort on my part to screw/unscrew… but I don’t know why people dump a watch over something like that. It’s still one of my favorite watches ever and it can be used daily.
💯% agreed, I love the watch despite it, it was probably a design choice made for a reason 🤷♂️ would I prefer different crown? Sure! Would I dump the watch because of it? Hell no! 😁 thanks for watching! P.S. that black and gold is a killer combo, how is the gold plating holding up?
@@WatchWatch-ck6xl It’s holding up remarkably well. Looks new. And I use it quite a bit in some harsher environments; been having to go to a lot PT after a car accident in November and for the last month I’ve been in their pool practicing walking. They use a tonnnnnnn of chemicals (I think Bromine) and it’s trucking along fine. Even the PVD integrated bracelet I got for it (StrapsCo, it’s like a 99% color match, I love it) is doing alright. In the summertime I switch over to a black/gold NATO from Watch Gecko. Everything looks good years later.
Oh! I hope you are OK! Thank you for the reply! Looks like I was concerned about the longevity of the coating for no reason… all the best, hombre and good luck with the recovery!
Sometimes I still wonder if I should’ve bought the burgundy dial instead… I think its still the sexiest of the bunch, but since it was my first watch I also wanted to play it a bit safe… excellent choice, my friend! Thanks for watching
Orient watches have alot of personality. And considering what you get have killer prices. But there is something unique about the way they look. No other watch is going too look like an Orient Diver.
That is actually what I really appreciate about them and why I have tinkles to buy another model 🤦♂️ their design speaks to me, prices are fair for what you get and the design is original
Hey does anyone have a recommendation if I have this watch and the bezel won't turn it is very very difficult to turn if I force it and it won't turn normally.
Hi! Probably some dirt got stuck under the bezel.. with mine it helped when I washed the watch properly with soapy water and old tooth brush, if it doesn’t help, I would try to remove the bezel and clean it, hombre
what other watches do you own? Ive been really thinking about getting this watch for a long time but never pulled the trigger...a part of me thinks that since I already have a seiko5 sport i dont really want another diver but at the same time i do...great video!
Hahhah, I totally understand you! I am however a lot weaker than you 😁 apart from this one I got few other divers - citizen promaster eco-drive, citizen fujitsubo, forteller cambrian, Zelos swordfish field, seiko alpinist 1959, vostok komandieraki gmt, seiko flightmaster, Hamilton khaki, couple of vintage watches and gshocks off course 😂… I don’t think you would regret buying this one… it is a great piece for the money! Thanks for watching!
Apart from the Kamasu i really like the black rubber strap. Where did you get it? Recently i bought a Citizen Promaster Diver Auto along with it‘s horrible bracelet and i think it would be very good looking with this rubber strap.
Thank you very much, hombre! Really appreciate it and the strap is really good one! Almost surprisingly so, considering the price Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. I am honestly big fan of their divers, but not so much of the others… for instance their sport gada watches feel like there aren’t even any… you don’t get see them anywhere… thanks for watching!
I have this watch in blue with the rubber strap it's my travel watch.I also have 2 subs a bb 58 blue .I think it's true this watch had been way over-hyped.But at the end of the day it's a good watch as long as you don't pay full retail..
Correct! Luckily its available all the time well below retail… I don’t see this watch going anywhere from my collection, on the good quality rubber it’s just perfect travel companion
When you have bought those Orient watches, once they have reached your watch box, you can't let go & sell them... They have to stay as they are very reliable & I love them despite they aren't that perfect nor that bad.
100% I don’t think I can ever let my Kamasu go… too much emotional attachment to it… its funny sometimes I don’t get to wear it for a month… and then I can’t take it off my wrist- leaving me wondering why I spend so much more on other watches…. I still love it after all these years… now I have another orient in for s review and falling in love with 🙄 never ending story…. Cheers for watching!
I have the Kanno (Kano) and love it. The bezel on the Kanno is coin-edge, which I prefer. Otherwise, it is very much like the Kamasu. For the money, you cannot beat the quality and value of Orient.
The kamasu was one the first watches that I got when I got back into collecting. The only reason I didn't keep it is because it was too large for my wrist. I have carpal tunnel so I need to be careful with what I put on my wrist. I have a blancpain leman dual timer, Vacheron overseas, and a couple of rolexes which I got from my grandfather and he was a big collector (had some pateks and a bunch of other really high end watches which I ended up selling years ago). The leman is my daily wear for various reasons but it's size is amazing for my wrist and it's bracelet is one of the best in my collection. The kamasu is just too wide unfortunately.
Wow! Man… that is actually really cool that someone who has got pieces like these in the collection, also had a kamasu! That is like totally the opposite of being watch snob! I got to keep Kamasu, I still like it very much, not only my first mechanical watch, but now also watch that started my youtube channel 😁 double sentimental value I cannot beat… thanks for watching and sharing your experience! Cheers
@@WatchWatch-ck6xl The komatsu truly is a fantastic watch and I would have kept it had it not caused pain on my wrist. I'm not even a big dive watch guy, but I really liked the presentation and finish of the kamasu. As you said, the main issue with it is the bracelet and the lug to lug size but apart from that, it's a truly amazing entry-level watch. On a personal note, I don't really care much about the value of a watch because generally I don't sell them. I just happened to get all of these expensive pieces from my grandfather because he was also a watch collector. In my current collection, I have everything from casios, a seagull and seikos to rolexes and a vacheron. My most recent purchase was from a micro brand; really I just buy what I like. I do care about value (aka value for money rather then resale value) but I care more about whether or not the watch fits my tastes and fills a gap in the collection.
I own a green Kamasu and I actually disagree with a lot of the negatives presented… I love the wide lugs, as they make the dial look proportionately smaller, making the 41.8mm feel closer to 39mm, for example. The one I really agree with is the crown, it absolutely sucks, so hard to use!
I think it is very subjective indeed, I think I wouldn’t have started even thinking that way if the original bracelet tapered more 🤷♂️ I still love the watch just on a different bracelet:) thanks for watching and commenting!
Hi! It is a Forteller Cambrian, Norwegian microbrand and what is unbelievable, this was their first watch… I am super-impressed by it… there is nothing, nothing that would be fundamentally wrong with it… potential only upper part of the clasp, otherwise is superb. forteller-watches.com/ It was a limited run, not sure they will make more, but I know from their instagram, that they are about launch new model
Didn't get it because everyone got it for their entrey level watch. Instead i went with the timex marlin sub dial and i love it because it suit my style and personality perfectly.
I got it as my first watch, cuz every one recommended it 😂 I don’t regret, still absolutely loving it, although absolutely understand your reasoning not to get one :)
Hi! The one I got is from AliExpress Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! 13,89€ | New Design 20mm 22mm FKM Watch Strap Quick Release Fluoro Rubber Richard Mille Watch Bands Wrist Belt Bracelet Accessories a.aliexpress.com/_EICQWh7 Super happy with it - for the price is the quality almost unbelievable!
Please have a look at MWC tritium Gmc , got one think you will like it , yes it's a quorts but trust me it's a beast of a watch , I also got a 300m sub I mean outstanding only thing I changed was the spring bars , tiny skinny spring bars to Rolex spring bars
Will totally have a look! Thanks for the tip! I actually don’t mind quartz watches - I love my Citizen Eco drive and recently absolutely adore my Lunar Pilot… Thanks again!!!
Good morning. Thanks for your first nice video. I write from Corfu - Greece. I have this Kamasu and i like your strap. Pleace write me the company and the model this strap. Thanks.

I love watches but I am NOT going any deeper than where I'm currently sunk 😂. I'm not messing around. I'm keeping my Citizen Promasters and Orients. In spite of their bracelets. I can't stop looking at the orange dial of my Ray 2 and the blue dial of my Pepsi bezel Kamasu. That's all I need.
Oh man! And are you happy with the long island strap? I have been thinking about it as well, partly also cuz I would like to support Mark, I love what he does… Thank you for watching!
I have replaced the Kamasu bracelet with the Long Island oyster bracelet, and I have been very happy with it. It makes the Orient feel like a more expensive watch.
Weeeell it is a lot more than I promised myself to keep… This year I only wanted to buy one ☝️ and that didn’t work out… plus… I just received an email from helm, that my Vanuatu is getting ready 🤦♂️ 😂 well with a lot of watches I at least have videos to make 😂 thank you very much for watching!
Wow! That is very interesting to read! The price difference between those two is as wide as it gets and it proves the point that watches are personal and subjective things that you should like first, you are not buying it for anyone else. Thank you very much for watching and that comment!
@@WatchWatch-ck6xl same with my Orient Bambino Version 7 White Gold vs my Cartier Tank Solo. Or maybe, I just love Orient. Kidding aside, Orient is really a great brand for their watches. I also don't care other's perspective. Buy things that will make you happy and move on within the day.
100% none of us has a right to tell others what is ugly or what is not… that is why there is so many choices… you buy it for yourself and it should make you happy in the first place
I bought a Kamasu and bought a new bezel and bezel insert ($75 total) from Long Island Watch, and it looks 100% better! Love it now.
Nice! Someone mentioned it in the comments and I gotta admit I never thought about changing the bezel till that point… now it’s everything I think about 😂 cheers for watching!
Hey, could you please link the bezel insert you found?!? Thank you
@@WatchWatch-ck6xlBrilliant idea. Never liked the indentations in the bezel. The rest of the watch is pretty good.
I was actually thinking about it too… don’t know really 🤷♂️
Thank you very much, mate! I hope I will produce new videos soon :)
Nice video 👏🏼 That wedding picture with a Garmin watch must be killing you 😂
Yeeeeah, it wasn’t my brightest moment… I was nervous, OK? 😂
You're being you. Be happy.
@@WatchWatch-ck6xl Did you measure your heartrate throughout the event at least?
Great video. I have a real watch problem. I watch so many reviews on so many watches but i seem to always find my way back to this watch. I really need to get one finally!
I highly recommend it… I wanted to show that is actually OK to love this watch and only get it cuz someone tells you to…
Thank you for watching!

And sapphire without anti reflective is…🤦🏾♂️
What are the better options in this price category?
Great video, I need to see the rest of your collection reviewed. Keep it up.
Thank you so much! And indeed so far that is the plan! Really appreciate your comment!
I have the maroon Kamasu on a Strapcode Jubilee bracelet. It’s one of my favorite watches. Looks like a million bucks.
I still find myself hovering over the bid button on ebay every now and then and then I pull myself back 😐
Hahahha 😂 I understand! Thank you for watching and commenting!
First video, great job and great watch!
Thank you very much, hombre!❤ hope to make more videos soon
Nice idea for a review. I'm pretty new to watches and I have noticed a lot of reviewers tell me about great watches that are NEVER in their SOTC videos. You have to take everything with a pinch of salt (putting it nicely). Good luck with your channel.
Thank you, hombre! That is what I hoping for, I wanted to show that is watch is actually worth owning, not only because someone else tells you so… thanks for watching
Awesome job on your first review! Keep it up. I have the burgundy one and it's one of my favourites

🤔🤔🤔 mmm never really thought about replacing the bezel… will check it out! Thanks watching and commenting
@WatchWatch-ck6xl I bought it because of the hype and wasn't happy at all. To me, the bezel looks cheap. Replacing it was a game changer . One of the most beautiful watches in my collection. I went for coin edge bezel with Sub style markings.
You really made me thinking about it 😂 googling it as we speak
@@WatchWatch-ck6xl you won't regret it at all. It's become a near perfect budget dress diver for me now

Thank you very much, hombre!!! Aaand totally, do give in… it is awesome piece in the affordable world… I still love it, maybe even more now…
Your friends are right.

I love the passion you display for this watch I’ve had doubts and wonders about orient now I’m going to buy one for sure
Thank you, hombre! I don’t think you will regret… I still wear this watch very often and when it comes to loom, this still the etalon I compere the other watches to… all the best!
@@WatchWatch-ck6xlI bought it I’m inlove with this watch I just hate the rattling noise the band makes thanks for an honest review I would have never bought it
@MajesticRidez that makes me so happy, hombre!!! Enjoy it as much as I do! Cheers!!!
Yeah that is really, really nice… the new Mako line is beautiful in my opinion
I had couple of Kamasus in hands, my close friend has a green dial also and all of those I saw were aligned perfectly:) so we got lucky… and exactly - putting it on a good quality rubber makes it almost perfect for me… very comfortable…
Thank you very much for watching and commenting! I really appreciate it!
@@WatchWatch-ck6xl lucky you. Still better than Seiko Sport KX and still love my Orient hulk
Can't decide between this and the Mako 40...
I think you won’t make a mistake with any…. Mako feels a bit bigger and masculine, Kamasu on the other hand more sleek and can be dressed up easier I think… anyway… good luck!!!
not too late for a very nice content... and top notch humor! keep it up!
Thank you very much!!! I will definitely try
I love your face when you say that you thought this would be your only watch 😂
Hahahha 😂 yeah I wish I knew what I was getting myself into 😂 thanks for watching!
I like their dark gray sunburst dials, such a stunner. I LUV my Tommy Vercetti two-tone "pixelated dial" Orient. Great content bro.
Thank you very much for watching! I need to check the Tommy Vercetti
I enjoyed the video greatly - you got a new subscriber ... Love my red dial Kamasu too ...
Thank you very much! I really do this cuz its my hobby and talk about watches I currently own in the collection, so it’s difficult not to be biased, but I try 😁 it’s incredibly motivating to read this! I hope I will not disappoint moving on! Cheers, compañero!
@@WatchWatch-ck6xl that is what has attracted me to the channel an enthusiastic collector.
Could you please advise where you bought this black strap from, i wish/would like to have the same one on my kamasu :)
Hello! Sure thing - it was a random pick from Aliexpress:
I just found this on AliExpress: 16,65€ | Premium Grade Fluoro Rubber Watch Strap 20mm 22mm For New FKM Watch Bands Diving Bracelet Quick Release Wrist Belt Accessories
a.aliexpress.com/_EINDLxJ
Great vid. Looking forward to more like this!
Thank you very much, amigo! Will do my best not to disappoint! :) and indeed got quite a few watches to talk about still in my collection 😁
I have the blue version, it's a great value sharp looking diver. Strangely I don't wear it often, perhaps it deserves more love.
It totally does! Strangely I don’t see a lot of the blue dials out there… and I totally dig that one also… give it a chance ;) thanks for watching!
Put the black one on a strapcode oyster, solid bracelet, looks great, tapers to 18mm and I have the quick adjust clasp. Takes the watch to a new level
Thanks for recommending it! I am actually thinking about that one or the one from Long Island… not quite decided yet 😁
Totally agree with the lugs, 20mm would make the watch more balanced in my opinion… but I can’t help to love it despite all that… on a good strap, the watch just does it for me
@@WatchWatch-ck6xl yes, still one of the best in this price range!
Loved your video. I have a blue Kamasu on a blue leather strap. It is a great watch and keeps accurate time. I wear it (or my Citizen Eco-drives and Casios) far more than my fancy Swiss watches…..
Right? I find my self gravitating to cheaper watches more than to my “grail” watches 😂 this hobby is just amazing… thanks for watching and commenting!
Link to the exact strapp ??

I'm planning to buy my first automatic watch, please tell me this is the perfect one. 6.5 inch wrist
It is the perfect first watch, hombre! I still own it after switching so many other watches and still absolutely love it… got 7” wrist… I love it… it is not going anywhere
Nice review. It is my Dailey wearer. Where did your strap come from. I like it.
Great daily wearer!!! I still absolutely love this watch… for a while I wanted to buy one of the new Makos - I really like the design, but I don’t want to neglect my Kamasu 😁 I bought the strap here:

Great video! I look forward to the next one!
Thank you very much! I was super nervous to make it and publish it, reading this really motivates me!
@@FlorinC1984 don’t know what to say… thank you so much! I Really do!
Great content man! Loved this video! 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you very much, hombre!!! Will try to keep it up 😁 really appreciate it!!!
Its been on my wish list. I do want that burgundy dial though. Thanks and let's do more on others that you have.
That will totally not disappoint you, the red one is just mesmerizing! Hope you will get yours soon! Thank you very much for watching and I hope to make more videos soon! It’s very motivating to read, as I wasn’t even sure whether or not to publish the video… its way out of my comfort zone! 😁

@@WatchWatch-ck6xl awesome bro! Subbed bc of your presentation! Keep em coming
Thats cheap, will be ordering one for my Red Kamasu. Additionally I also own two Helms, the Miyako in grey and Khuraburi Ti black. I’ve used the black Helm RS2 strap on my Kamasu and it looks great, but now I want one just like what you have shown here. Cheers
Thanks, hombre! I ordered one more orange one for my Vanuatu also 😁 these straps are really awesome for the proce
Liked the video! I buy my rubber and leather straps at watchgecko, i hate metal bracelets. Is this the kamasu with the sapphire crystal?
Bought the burgundy dial for $220.....changed the bracelet and it's my go to watch now...
Sometimes I still wonder if I should’ve bought the burgundy dial instead… I think its still the sexiest of the bunch, but since it was my first watch I also wanted to play it a bit safe… excellent choice, my friend! Thanks for watching
@@WatchWatch-ck6xl always wanted a red dial dive watch.....but not the one in citizen promaster.....this one 🤌🤌
@@WatchWatch-ck6xl I've seen alot of people say to use oil or wd 40 on the outside of the bezel would you recommend this.
I wouldn’t really… I think it would eventually start catching up more dirt and make it worse…
what other watches do you own?
BTW: Good start with this video. :-)
Thank you very much, hombre!
Really appreciate it and the strap is really good one! Almost surprisingly so, considering the price

@@WatchWatch-ck6xl I got a few rubber straps like yours from Aliexpress. So comfortable and good looking on my Promaster. Thanks again for the really good tip.
Orient just makes the absolute best watch designs in the sub €2000 category. I am always stunned how great their watches look
I am honestly big fan of their divers, but not so much of the others… for instance their sport gada watches feel like there aren’t even any… you don’t get see them anywhere… thanks for watching!
I'm late the the party too. Just ordered the red dial Kamasu. It's the "Kama su-tra" baby!
Hahahhah 😂 nice one
I have this watch in blue with the rubber strap it's my travel watch.I also have 2 subs a bb 58 blue .I think it's true this watch had been way over-hyped.But at the end of the day it's a good watch as long as you don't pay full retail..
Correct! Luckily its available all the time well below retail… I don’t see this watch going anywhere from my collection, on the good quality rubber it’s just perfect travel companion
@@WatchWatch-ck6xl One cool watch to have in a collection is the new g shock in all metal.
Loved your video, this is a cracking watch ❤
Thank you very much! ❤ much appreciated and hope to make more videos soon enough
My friend had a blue dial Kanno and it looked amazingly… very masculine watch!!! Thank you for watching and commenting, hombre!
Great video. Very well done.
Thank you very much! ❤ it’s very motivating to read!
11:09 Hi! What's the brand/model of that watch please? (The king of the crown)
Hi! It is a Forteller Cambrian, Norwegian microbrand and what is unbelievable, this was their first watch… I am super-impressed by it… there is nothing, nothing that would be fundamentally wrong with it… potential only upper part of the clasp, otherwise is superb.

It was a limited run, not sure they will make more, but I know from their instagram, that they are about launch new model
@@WatchWatch-ck6xl thank you for all the info! 💪

Estuve a punto de vender el mío color burdeos pero me ha vuelto a enamorar, jamás saldrá de mi caja, relojazo.
¡Buena decisión, hombre! ¡El rojo burdeos es una maravilla! ¡gracias por el comentario!
Bude video aj o vintage Prim a Oris 0:37 ?
Ahoj! Napadlo me to, ale musim vymyslet jak to pojmout, jestli o vintage obecne, nevim jestli by to lidi vubec zajimalo 🤷♂️ no mozna to zkusim 😁 diky
I own a Kano. If you can pull the size off, it's arguably a better choice. More original, if nothing else.
Can’t disagree, I like Kano very much, just thing the Kamasu is thanks to its size more versatile.

I gotta say, I am a bit jealous you can do that… I fell too deep in that rabbit hole and can’t get out 🥹 cheers
Who knows, in a few years, those could be "Famous last words" from me.
Hahahhah
Absolutely nailed everything about this watch and the issues I have with mine - I had to sub out the bracelet with one from Long Island Watch
Oh man! And are you happy with the long island strap? I have been thinking about it as well, partly also cuz I would like to support Mark, I love what he does…
Thank you for watching!
I have replaced the Kamasu bracelet with the Long Island oyster bracelet, and I have been very happy with it. It makes the Orient feel like a more expensive watch.
I've had the red one, the black one, and now the blue one......... everything you said-----DITTO!
Hahahha! 😁 oh how much I understand… cheers
Nice pocket shot bro.

As much as I love my new Rolex 126613LN (BlackGold Two Tone), I still see my Orient Kamasu in Red as the most beautiful watch I own.
