This is one of my favorite watches. I think this is one of the nicest looking watches available from any brand and I like the case size for my wrist. I think this is much nicer looking than other Orient including the Mako, Ray and Kamasu. The Kamasu is a higher quality watch in some areas but it has that very ugly bezel that I can't get past. I don't mind the hollow end links or plated metal clasp, or even the fake oyster bracelet because these all can lower the price of the watch. I would like to have sapphire but with a crystal this large it would probably add quite a bit to the price. So it's a question of buying a higher quality watch that is very ugly, or a less expensive watch that you like to look at that might have some limitations.
Great review as always, John. This is a good looking piece and at that price point is definitely a contender for any collection. Having said that, I do think that if one was prepared to spend just a little bit more, they would quite easily find a piece with considerably better specification. Regards

Collectors would be willing to pay £250-300 for these enhancements. A better option is the Kamasu on a Strapcode Oyster bracelet. Sapphire crystal with solid end links and milled clasp then. Or alternatively a Seiko 5KX on a Strapcode as another option. The bezel action on the 5KX felt much better than on this Kano. It's strange the Kamasu's bezel action is better than the Kano's as they are similar £200 price tier pieces. Regards.
i have 6.5 inch wrist and the watch looks perfect on me. i have the red bezel, black dial, rubber strap. Also, mine doesnt have crown stem problems and backlash.
Got the black version and not happy about the lume. The markers and second hand arrow tip lume it's weak, basically need to be charged with a flashlight to see it perform compared to the hour and minute hand which it's on most of the time and all night. Did I get a defected one or is it like that by designed?

It’s a pity the quality isn’t up to scratch on this one. I really like the look of this watch but I agree for the money the Seiko 5KX is a better spec watch. Another great review.
Thank you for watching Ross. I bought one of these last year for my own personal collection; as I also like the look of it. The poor bezel action meant I returned it for refund. I wanted to review another one to see if Orient had improved it; and make others aware of the defect. I prefer the coin edged bezel on the Kano to the Kamasu; but overall the Kamasu is a better quality/value watch for similar money. The 5KX (which I have also reviewed) is better build quality. Yes, it only has a push/pull crown rather than the screw down crown of the SKX007; but it feels more solid and reliable. I also really like the new smooth bezel version of the 5KX. It reminds me of the Black Bay 41. Difficult to choose between a Kamasu v 5KX as they are both good pieces for circa £200. Regards.

Thx for the video, really like the kano design, but for £50 extra you can get the RA-AC0K01B10B (Neptune lite) which is on another level.
