- The Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors put on quite the show in LA’s season opener. Steph Curry started hot with 25 points on perfect 9-for-9 shooting in the first quarter. His final total of 45 points was the difference maker as the Warriors won 115-113. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe react to Curry's dominating performance against the Clippers.

having iggy back on the warriors just feels right. he understands the system on offense and has a high iq to fit in on defense as well. not only that, i just feel like the warriors were missing those key vets other than curry and draymond last season, so to have a guy that can really help in the locker room to rally up the guys, i think it makes this team a lot scarier than people think. once klay comes back, its just gonna feel right. the league is definitely better when the splash brothers are together.

They're different players. In isolation KD is better, one of the best to ever play from a skillset standpoint, but a team built around Curry has a higher ceiling in terms of what it can achieve - as noted by when the Warriors were without Steph but still had KD and Klay on the court, they performed poorly, but when KD didn't play the team didn't miss a beat. Curry is all time great in his own way which is more difficult for people to understand, being 6'3 he can be shutdown if teams focus on him solely whereas KD is phenomenal no matter what since you can't guard him.

Jordan Poole one of his first threes was at the Chase center logo. After that he must have awoken Steph, cause Steph came down and pulled up even further back. In the same spot too. Lol. There's never been anyone in history come off an achilles and acl tear to play great. We haven't seen him in years now. While he's not in pain he's still claiming he has soreness. I'd love to see him back as himself. Yet as long as they don't seem to need him I'm sitting him out the whole year. It’s not like they had a lot of momentum after Steph’s 25 first quarter. They were pretty sloppy the rest of the way. And steph did his thing in the last two minutes. Wouldn’t be surprised if the timeouts were to calm his team down. The amount of turnovers was insane, if anything the players were killing their momentum through small mistakes that the clippers took advantage of. I hate the "best shooter ever" moniker. What does that even really mean? Any player would much rather be the greatest scorer ever. To put Steph in perspective, he's had something like 40 40+ point games, Jordan scored 40+ 173 times.
