Upgrading just one step means potentially having to do about 8 updates to get to the latest. How can that be a best practice? That's doing a risky step 8 times, instead of doing a very risky step once. I'm at F12.

There is no f15b anymore..they discarded it from the website...check if you can downgrade to f15a...works the same way as an upgrade...then try upgrading from f15a to f15c..

Go to the bios by pressing the Del key.. then go to the tweaker tab... Then select the XMP high frequency support... And change that to 3200 MHz from Auto...

The first thing to do after building your pc is to do some benchmark testing. Use userbenchmark or geekbench to see how your pc is performing. If your pc is performing well then you don't need to do the update.

okay sorted it its worked but now it keeps booting off my other drive rather than my main one I had it set to before? and it won't let me enebale smart access memory anymore and it won't save my AMD adrenaline software settings?
@@cal7281 before attempting to do any kind of BIOS update you should always save your setting to a profile. So if anything goes wrong you can just load the profile. I'm not sure what happened in your case. But if I were you I would just update the bios again. Maybe the bios file got corrupted. Re-download and update..
Is there any way to do this without being able to get into the BIOS? I have purchased the motherboard and it won't boot on 2 CPUs and 6 different sticks of RAM. I have RMAed the first board, and asked for a replacement. The replacement does the exact same. So I presume it's an outdated BIOS that doesn't know what to do with the CPUs.
You can use the q-flash button. Q--Flash allows you to update the BIOS when your system is off (S5 shutdown state). Save the latest BIOS on a USB thumb drive and plug it into the dedicated port, and then you can now flash the BIOS automatically by simply pressing the Q-Flash Plus button.
@@mszastro just the motherboard plugged to the psu...and the update file in USB(fat32 formatted) plugged in...remove everything else...gpu, ram, processor..
Sometimes it does. Update usually fixes bugs and ensures support for new hardware. But if you are not upgrading any hardware in your PC and your PC is running fine then no need to do it.

I got into a slight problem, previously i updated to f15b somehow... Now im trying to get f15c but it said oemId mismatch.

it just depends on the seller. Just thoroughly check the listings. Sometime the seller will post that The motherboard has been updated.

Check if you can format it using FAT32..if you can then it's good

Don't worry about it. It's just an application file that comes in when you unzip the downloaded file.
