I was the drummer for four years in my HS Jazz Choir. I convinced my sister to try out. She sang this song, and absolutely killed it! I tear up every time I hear it.
One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, sung by the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. Her breath control fascinates me, especially on this song. Love and thanks to you Linda ❤️
In my opinion, this is the most beautiful voice on the planet. She sang in multiple genres and nailed it every time. There’s no one who can match the gorgeous sound that came from this amazing, beautiful human being. Her catalogue is huge and diverse. Please explore further. She has a blend of sweetness and power that just gets to your heart. Great reaction! 🌺✌️
Please listen to her sing a live version of Desperado & Down so Low just amazing. Also her singing live Spanish or Broadway it will take your breath away 😊
This song makes me cry every time I hear it, even if I have heard it a thousand times. She is one of my top 5 fave vocalists, and is top 3 for sure. So sad that she can no longer sing. She's an angel. Try "Faithless Love" written by the great J.D. Souther who she dated for awhile. He is a big fave of mine too. You might want to check out some of his library as well
Linda, Joni, Aretha, Janis, Carole and Grace. The ladies who, with their own gifts and style, took us through the 60s and 70s and showed us the way. ❤️
@@RkbmommaKaren Carpenter had a top voice. But mostly sang the same sappy, milk toast pop songs. That is why I never bought music by The Carpenters....yuk.
this song was around during a painful "first love" break up and it used to rip my heart out. It still has that effect on me almost 45 years later. She sings it so emotionally and the lyrics are just incredible.
All of her songs are highest quality because, she was a complete perfectionist. She demanded that everything was just right regardless of what song or style she sang. Perfection personified.
She truly could sing just about anything in any genre she set her mind to. I'd say Poor Wandering One from The Pirates of Penzance or I'm a Fool to Want You from her collection of standards from the Great American Songbook.
Biz you've fallen down the rabbit hole. There is just so much to explore while you are there. Give her cover of Hank Williams "I Can't Help It (If I'm Still in Love With You)" a look. It topped the country charts at the same time as "You're No Good" topped the Pop/Rock and R&B charts in 1975. Linda is the first artist to top 3 charts at the same time.
Hi Biz, You mentioned about subscribing. I thought I was? I needed to click again and I’m subscribing, again? This is the second reactor that I had to click again that I thought I was. I’m thinking, it;s a thing, a thing I don’t like. You came up because of my history watching you. On to Linda, I’ve seen this song many times and get the chills each time so I think it’s safe. 🤞 I hope Alison is another safe song as it’s one of my faves. It’s her cover of the Elvis Costello masterpiece. ❤ I want to help you help a new young artist to “Keep Great Music Alive.” No joke. This won’t get struck, demonetized or blocked. But it will give you goosebumps and chills. Last October I was introduced by algorithms to Tori Holub. She’s a 20 year old singing the songs of my youth and more. I’m 67, an OG Carpenters fan and Linda fan and and and. She is singing the songs of the 60’s - 80’s, mostly. Most of her videos are Shorts. But she does have 5 full length songs as audio and one full length video. The video she self produced. The audios were all professionally recorded. She’s on all the platforms but TT is where her big numbers are. Two of her Carpenters covers garnered over 1M views each. On TH-cam not as many, sadly. I’m simply blown away and want to recommend her most recent song to you as a good starting point. She covered the Ray Charles classic; Georgia On My Mind. It is however an all new arrangement done for Tori. Keywords to easily find it are: Tori Holub Georgia On My Mind The picture is her with a camera. To give you a sample of her talent, 2+ years ago she made a demo of her attempt to replicate the harmonies from Carpenters “We’ve Only Just Begun.” This is essentially a 3 minute Short. I’m attempting a link below: th-cam.com/video/vaqOlvQOkzA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bvGtMCSYYCcEagqx I think I can get away with one link. So Biz, there you have it. She’s essentially trying to save the old music. She’s also a 20 year old Carpenters Super-fan. Makes my heart sing. I can’t sing a note, she can. Do you have a PP set up? For donations? I’ll contribute to help with my request. Be well and let’s save the music from Autotune and Pitch Correction crap. Tori is just pure talent. Joe Edit: Looks like my post worked. I’ll add on her channel, Tori covered this song and did it justice. Linda still wins but Tori done did good. It;s only a Short, though.
This always makes me feel sad. Takes me back to when I was around 4 years old. I must have heard it a lot back then because it evokes a lot of memories.
Whatever you upload on January 25 will be seen in Australia on January 26, that's our national day. Please react to something Australian. Recommend The Black Sorrows singing "Never let me go" do believe you would thoroughly enjoy it 🇭🇲
Linda is my favorite singer. She did 2 albums with Dolly Parton and Emmy Lou Harris titled Trio and Trio 2. The blend of their voices is sublim. Worth a reaction..
if you want to hear her flex her voice than you really should hear her sing Blue Bayou, but there again I've never heard a bad Linda Ronstadt song so I'm bias.
Dolly Parton once said there are three female singers that were the best (Linda Ronstadt, Barbra Streisand and Connie Smith). Dolly said all the others, including herself, were just pretending. I would add Dolly Parton and Karen Carpenter to the top tier.
On my list of the twelve most beautiful sad songs of all time. 1. Honey by Bobby Goldsboro 2. I Can’t Make You Love Me- Bonnie Raitt 3. You Gave Me a Mountain- Elvis 4. What Now My Love? Elvis 5. The Last Time I Saw Her Face-Glen Campbell 6. Don’t Cry Daddy- Elvis 7. Separate Ways-Elvis 8. My Boy-Elvis 9. Someone Like You- Adele 10. Neither One of Us- Gladys Knight and the Pips 11. The Carnival is Over- The Seekers.
Don't know if you've done it, Biz, but Linda's "Hasten Down The Wind" off the same album name is an excellent song.music.th-cam.com/play/OLAK5uy_l2dIuKmCLLYx7VgFUvcCBGOu6oRZuqk3A.html&si=9yz8ppjAI8hpxK70
She didn’t write this or anything!! Covered so.. many classics and always made them better… stones , Smokey, Neil young, buddy holly,, on and on .. just made you believe she did…. Every damn time!! She said she had to make a sincere personal connection to make it real!!!
Oh man -- I'm sorry to hear about your Different Drum problems. I LOVE that song, it's so quirky, yet so sneaky deep. And, I'm pretty sure I was one of the people trying to get you to react to it, so I feel some responsibility for you 'wasting' your effort on the video . . . . it ain't right . . . .
"There are 2 Kinds of Men in This World...
Those who have a crush on Linda Ronstadt and those who have never heard of her."
Willie Nelson.
We all had crushes on her. Killer artist and just gorgeous.
She could sing anything! Rock, Pop, Folk, Country and of course Mexican Rancheras and traditional. There is no female singer like her
You left out Blues and Opera
Don't forget she did big band era as well
That lady can freaking sing !!
Blue Bayou is simply outstanding
I was the drummer for four years in my HS Jazz Choir. I convinced my sister to try out. She sang this song, and absolutely killed it! I tear up every time I hear it.
Linda Ronstadt is the greatest, most versatile female vocalist of her generation.
She is the greatest singer of her generation and maybe ever
I had a bad, bad, case of unrequited love in my youth. This song , and Linda’s voice, really captures that pain
No other pain like it
Masterpiece
Man…every time I hear this song tears come down
I was lucky enough to see her with the Eagles in the 70's. It was amazing. Big thanks
If anyone can generate man-tears that song and Linda will do it. Beautifully crafted lyrics, guitar, strings, and especially her impeccable voice !!
Love some Linda
The most beautiful female vocalist over the past 50 years in my opinion....just awesome!
One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, sung by the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. Her breath control fascinates me, especially on this song. Love and thanks to you Linda ❤️
I could never imagine anybody withholding love from this woman! Sings and looks like an angel.
The Pipes, and the Soul. THE voice of the 20th century.
This song, man.
Everything she does is great!
You should also do "Love Has No Pride" from that era. She slays that one (and me) too.
In my opinion, this is the most beautiful voice on the planet. She sang in multiple genres and nailed it every time. I was born in '52, and I heard her sing "Baby Baby" on tv. She was the sexiest and best singer alive in my opinion.
o yeah!
linda really opens herself, just so honest. most of us could never do this!
Achingly beautiful song. She sings with such passion. Thank you for using the studio version. There's a live one many use that has a verse cut out.
She is wonderful
She has an incredible voice , love all her music.
Beautiful. Gorgeous voice. They don't make them like that any more.
Such a beautiful, amazing voice...

I think I'm gonna remember her for a long, long time
Finally, someone who truly appreciates this song and how magical she made it! I truly feel her pain!
Linda could emote with the best of any singers
Great reaction Bizmatik! Beautiful song. Agree with your words! Too bad other reviews are being blocked.
This has always been a favorite! Thank you for the review.
Lovely Linda! There’s is no one like her❤
Great As Usual
…..Biz, you are a great reactor !!!! Love your breakdowns and honesty of all music ❤️
She makes me feel long ago suppresed emotions , every time I hear her sing this song
Linda, Joni, Aretha, Janis, Carole and Grace. The ladies who, with their own gifts and style, took us through the 60s and 70s and showed us the way. ❤️
You forgot Karen

She was not a favorite of mine but she did have her part in shaping the way. 😊

One of my top 3 favorite female singers, what a talent and great singer
Linda Ronstadt can grab you by the heart when she sings. Reach in and touch you on the inside. Thanks for the amazing music Big Soul Biz.
This song is so beautiful
I really do think this is one of the most beautiful recordings ever created.
You will not, can not finder a nicer celebrity than this woman! What a sweetheart she is even to this day!
❤❤❤❤❤
THERE'S A BLAST FROM THE PAST I CAN REMEMBER AS A KID GROWING UP MY HEARD ON THE RADIO AND CRANKED IT ALL THE WAY UP THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES👍
Love your reaction!!!!
this song was around during a painful "first love" break up and it used to rip my heart out. It still has that effect on me almost 45 years later. She sings it so emotionally and the lyrics are just incredible.
Helluva set of pipes
Been a fan since Stone Ponies. Yes, I'm old.
Linda Ronstadt also sings with Dolly Parton on a song called Apple Jack. Look it up on TH-cam.
Heart Like a Wheel is the must hear Linda R album. it's still in my rotation to this day!
Most days I would say this is my favorite song, like today.
Great reaction.
Thanks!
You must sample her live Mexican roots videos, a tribute to her dad’s favorite songs she grew up with. La Charreta or La Cigara.
You won't hear another singer with her interpretation and delivery of any kind of music or song in this life. She is simply the best to coin a phrase
Her version of “Desperado” is great.
Check out her live version in Atlanta
Don Henley and Glen Frey from the Eagles were part of her backing band in 1971
All of her songs are highest quality because, she was a complete perfectionist. She demanded that everything was just right regardless of what song or style she sang. Perfection personified.
What a gift she is to lovers of real music. So sad what has happened to her health.
Melanie Safka recorded a cover of this in the nineties that's really good too.
Check out her amazing version of “Down so Low”. Great blues track
Just so classic Linda, coupled with great lyrics and music. One of my all time favorite songs. Thanks.
You should listen to her rendition of I Will Always Love You !!!
Most of her later recordings are with Asylum records and don't seem to get pulled. Live versions of her songs also don't seem to get taken down
I feel so blessed to have seen Linda live many times. She NEVER disappointed! ✌
Linda Ronstadts first solo song after The Stone Poneys 1970's Long Long Time written by Gary White.
I fall in love every time I hear this song, or just listening to Linda.
❤
Check out her amazing cover of “Down so low” great blues track. Her performance in Germany seems to be the best.
Such a beautiful song, especially with Linda singing it.
I always wished I looked like her, and her voice is so beautiful as well. An icon.
💯
she's fantastic.....what else can you say?
She truly could sing just about anything in any genre she set her mind to. I'd say Poor Wandering One from The Pirates of Penzance or I'm a Fool to Want You from her collection of standards from the Great American Songbook.
