    In this video we examine the fact that the Quran speaks of itself as a written book, and places priority on writing as the strongest form of evidence. Muslims who argue for oral transmission over written transmission therefore contradict the Quran. We also examine some early traditions attesting to the forgetfulness of the early Muslims, further illustrating that claims of oral preservation fall flat. Finally, we examine claims of the so-called, "illiterate" prophet. As an added bonus, Muhammad makes a guest appearance. Muslims are desperately trying to show the miracles of their book, and are failing at every attempt. Quran vs. Tradition playlist is here: th-cam.com/play/PLVwt18wNX1gz5rSB73mUbKxhYVozt5seY.html. If the Quran speaks for itself why do Muslims have to come to the Muslim Hadiths for guidance??
      The Muslim Hadiths were written approximately 281 years to 310 years AFTER muhamMAD death..
      There is no logic in Islam.
      muhamMAD=MADness.

      A very good point: Allah and his eternal book, which he said he sent down to mohammed, and muslims say they don't need it!
      Although, allah does not always remember what he said before, as we can see in the story of Adam and Iblis. So maybe allah needs the book more than muslims. This really makes me wonder.

Just ask - which is more likely to change over time - your memory or what you wrote on a piece of paper. I hope sometime in the future you'll make a video about how to approach muslims and which subjects to tackle first when talking to them (or maybe you have, I haven't seen all of your videos yet). I grew up in an environment where there are many muslims and I never had a successful conversation with any of them, it always ends with a "you misunderstand the Quran, Muhammad was the best men ever and people only lie about him to lead you away from the truth" and similar things. I truly want to help them see through the lies they've been indoctrinated with all their lives but I feel like talking to a wall. It hurts me seeing how much devotion and love for Muhammad exists in their hearts knowing what this man was truly like.

    It is interesting that until the 20th century, the imams, qadis, sheiks and ayatollahs did not claim that the Quran had been perfectly preserved, either through memorization or written copies. They all knew that different versions existed, and only agreed that the timeless ideal original in Paradise was perfect.
    So what changed?
    When Morocco and Egypt went bankrupt and got European bankers as rulers, and the Ottoman Empire collapsed, which happened after the previous big blow of the demise of the Mughal Empire of India, the early 20th also witnessed the Soviet absorption of all of the Stans and China's grab of Mongolia and Xinjiang.
    A very demoralized, defeated, and greatly impoverished Islamic civilization became ultra defensive, and ultra resentful of the Christians and Hindus who could suddenly thrive in their midst rather than be oppressed by their Muslim masters.
    Cultural Muslims, who had never believed, began to defend the indefensible, in a society where loss of face, honor and shame, was important, not truth nor guilt nor innocence.
    The religious began making much more grandiose claims of superiority and perfection than had been made about Islam in many centuries.
    It is the superiority complex of someone with an inferiority complex, which a totally defeated and discredited political-economic-social system named Islam quite rightly had. It was proven inadequate to modernity in every possible way, it was bankrupt, and its people illiterate barefoot peasants with precious few exceptions.
    Hence, the lie about the never corrupted perfectly preserved Quran was cooked up and spread.

    I think there are so many words that are in Islamic books but Muslims themselves, do not understand their meanings. That's you will find someone keep defending his religion even if it doesn't make any logical sense. For example, their views of a god is something that deserves their worship, I mean even even if it share the same unique characteristics (like: eternal/uncreated, holy, creator) with another. Allah, Quran, Issa (spirit proceeding from Allah) all are eternal but for them god is Allah only.

    The so-called prophet of lsIam is widely known as "Muhammad", but that was not his actual name. Note that in the Quran, an explicit occurrence of the name "Muhammad" for the so-called prophet of lsIam is very rare, and only appear a few of times throughout the entire Quran. Using the name "Muhammad" is actually part of an lsIamic attempt to plagiarize, copy and present the so-called prophet of lsIam in a similar manner to the Prophet Daniel.
    The Prophet Daniel is nicknamed "Ish H'amudot" - a man of H'amudot (H'-M-D as root. One way to translate it is "man of grace"). Angels, such as the angel Gabriel are said to have appeared to him with visions, revelations and that which is written in truth. See also: Daniel 9 : 21-23, 10 : 11, 10 : 21.
    This is not unlike the rest of the Quran, which is a twisted badly man-made plagiat with an "lsIamic" twist.

    Dear Muslims,
    The proof of this is found in the words of the Sahaba discussing the manuscripts. For instance this is a word Umar believed was the correct word in 62:9
    (فامضوا) Faisaaw
    Whereas the Uthmanic Quran has:
    (فاسعوا) Famzo
    Now looking at both words and their transliterations, does it seem more likely to be a mistake that was made when transmitted orally or written down?
    This is extremely common in the hadith collections, for instance Ibn Abbas believed for 13:31 that. (يتبين‏ Yatbain) while Uthman had (يَا۟يْـَٔسِ Yay-Asi). Again, look at the oral transmission and the written one, I think it's pretty obvious that this was a written text.
    So the claim of "oral preservation" is outright wrong.
    It was a written scripture
    And it wasn't preserved
    I don't understand why this argument even exists!

All it is is simply: "I have little knowledge of the topic being discussed about my own faith (example, not knowing the Umar and Abbas hadith are Sahih) and I can't rightfully defend my texts!". So because he has no argument he has to resort to biblical criticism as a way to stave off criticism. It's a dirty tactic and an outright a stupid tactic (as it is designed to tug the conservation from the topic at hand). He's not here in good faith for reasonable debate basically

    “6[Prophet], We shall teach you [the Qur’an] and you will not forget- 7unless God wishes; He knows both what is open and what is hidden-”
    As a convert to Islam, learning that the Quran originally contained more surahs and ayahs than the one we have today was not an issue for me. I could imagine, however, that a Muslim who was taught as a child that there hasn’t been a single iota lost since the time of the prophet would be heartbroken upon learning this. I’m fortunate that I didn’t have to endure such a crisis. I do, however, find a hadith you mentioned very interesting. in this Hadith, Umar is shown to have extreme reverence for the integrity of the Quran, fearing that the only way he could include the stoning verse, which he was certain came in the form of Quranic revelation, was an in artificial way. That hadith is really satisfying to me. Interesting video and one that I would actually recommend other Muslims watch (besides the shameful, insulting vocab malone cameo)

      ask them what sources confirms the Quran has been orally transmitted through people. If they say hadiths, just respond and say that we have ACTUAL MANUSCRIPTS (and aren't just random things said by people) of the Bible itself that date earlier than hadiths. If they tell you about the Birmingham manuscript, just reply that it literally contains under 1% of the Quran, and that the Sanaa manuscript is a much better choice to validate the "unchanged" Quran. Show them the upper layer text, they'll say it's not that corrupted (if they say it's a human error mistake, just say that memorizing something has a higher chance of making errors), while continuing to claim that it's completely uncorrupted. Show them the lower (original) text and they'll start to muslim shuffle.

    Whether or not Mohammed could write, he had several scribes according to the sunnah. One of them was his cousin Ali with whom he was raised. (Which raises the question why one could read and write but the other could not, and who kept the books for Khadijah's business.) Nevertheless, lots of traditions say that the revelations were written on bone, leaves, parchment, etc. by the scribes, and Mohammed's Companions read from them to memorize. Also that Mohammed kept these records in a chest under Aisha's bed, organized in the correct order. So what ever happened to the chest under Aisha's bed containing the entire written Quran? What happened to the other wife's collection that was used, along with memorized portions (there is no claim that any single Companion or Ansar had memorized the entire Quran) to assemble the caliphs' copies? Why wouldn't any of the Companions, Ansars, wives or caliphs have preserved these perfect written versions?
    Answer: because it wasn't much of anything,just a few scraps. So the warlords gathered together material that had been written before Mohammed, mostly by Arabian poets, and assembled it into a "book" so the new rulers over the Christian Middle East could say "we have a book too, and it is better than your's". That's all. It was, and still is, political.

    You are wrong. God promised to protect Quran in the memorized/recited form (Al-Zikr / Recitation/ Rememberance) as God clearly states this in Chapter 15 verse 9: "Surely We, Ever We, have been sending down the Remembrance, and surely We are indeed Preservers of it.". So, you are wrong regarding your biased inference based on the other Verse where God specifically mentioning the transactions among Muslims. Also, Tradition relies on the claimed hadith reports but they are also wrong. According to Quran, Muslims only must follow what was sent down, which is Quran, but nothing else as a book. So, all your critiques using the claimed hadith reports can go to the Tradition but not to Islam. You can ONLY use verses in Quran to critique Islam. As a Muslim, I only regard Quran but nothing else as the source of Islam. No one knows if those claimed hadith reports are correct or not and hence cannot be used to critique Islam. So, yes, the main medium of the transmission of Quran is Oral transmission of the Recitation of it and does not depend on any manuscript. And, 97% of Muslims use the same exact recitation (called historically as al-qraat al-amma by the masses of people) and it is also known as the Common Recitaion among Muslims with historical reports "as well". So bad for your clip, but Quran has been 100% preserved word for word and you have no much knowledge about it. If you like to criticize Tradition, go for it but they are already wrong by accepting those claimed hadith reports along with Quran as the second source in their beliefs. So, what you would critique is against the Tradition but not to Islam in that case.

    • @IslamCritiqued
      @IslamCritiqued  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Surah 15:9 doesn't say to what extent the Quran will be protected. The modern Quranic manuscripts have textual variants. So he didn't guard it perfectly. You at least have to admit he didn't guard the manuscripts. That opens the question up to what else he didn't guard? "According to Quran, Muslims only must follow what was sent down," you also have to obey the messenger (Surah 3:31-32, 4:59, 5:92...etc). How can you obey him if you don't know what he said to do? " No one knows if those claimed hadith reports are correct or not and hence cannot be used to critique Islam." That is wrong. The majority of Islam is built on Hadith (i.e. sharia law). Even if all hadith were false, they constitute a reality today. "So, yes, the main medium of the transmission of Quran is Oral transmission of the Recitation of it and does not depend on any manuscript." The Quran doesn't say that. The Quran encourages writing (2:282) for preservation. "So bad for your clip, but Quran has been 100% preserved word for word and you have no much knowledge about it." That is demonstrably false. All you're doing is repeating what you've been told with a Quran only spin to it. Do you have any data to back up your claim or not?

    • @Altay19
      @Altay19 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IslamCritiqued You are speaking with the mouth of the Tradition, which does NOT represent Islam. Islam is what is in Quran, period!. God guarded it perfectly and we can clearly witness that 97% of Muslims RECITE the exact same message al-qraat al-amma (common recitation). As I told God promised to guard the RECITATION (al-Zikr) but no written book! This is very clear you accept or not, which does not change this fact.
      I also criticize the Tradition, which is the majority, for adding the claimed hadith repost along with Quran. Your arguments to follw messenger is avery common one the Tradition use against us. But, it is clear that God means to follow Quran by that. If we were living in Prophet time, yes we would follow him but he does not. And according to Quran, his duty is only to bring the message to humanity but nothing else. There are verses in Quran that tells us what prophet said and did. So, when you follow them and follow the message in Quran, then you follow the messenger. It is a common discussion between the Traditionalist and the minority of Muslims who follows only Quran. I got this conclusion at age 40 by a careful reading of Quran. I did not follow my for-fathers but used my mind, read Quran and ended up with this conclusion. Anyways, Tradition has many contradictions as there are many contradictory claimed hadith reports and they have to deal with them! It is easy for you criticize based on those. But, be honest and do not say against Islam but say against the Tradition.

      "we can clearly witness that 97% of Muslims RECITE the exact same message al-qraat al-amma (common recitation)." That's nothing but your traditional belief. "As I told God promised to guard the RECITATION (al-Zikr) but no written book!" That's a lie. See Surah 85:21-22. "If we were living in Prophet time, yes we would follow him but he does not." So Muhammad was the best example only while he was living? Or he's an excellent example for you to follow now as well? "There are verses in Quran that tells us what prophet said and did." Which prophet? The Quran speaks mostly to a "messenger," not a prophet. This messenger is unidentified. Your tradition is the only thing telling you it's Muhammad, the name, or title, only being mentioned a handful of times without any clue who the person is.
