What was even better was, with this music behind you, you weren't going to fail.
Yeah, I played some Wii and DS games before this, but this game started my life of gaming at 8 years old. We recently moved into our new house since my Mom and Step-dad got married, my dad gave me all his old games since his Xbox broke. My step-dad gave me and my little brother his old Xbox Original and I was choosing which game to play and this green astronaut holding a rifle with soldiers and aliens fighting each other. I put in the disk, waited for it to load, then saw the beautiful ring, and this song played.

I haven't played the halo campaigns when i was really young but now that started playing the first halo campaign about 2 or 3 weeks ago and went through all of them on the master chief collection on steam and that includes reach and now i understand why people say its so good

So when I was like 7~8 I played Halo for the first time (from the 90's), when the 2nd part came I also got that and those were actually the only 2 games I had. I have like 2k~ hours on both of them, later I decided to switch to PS, but every now and then I turn my old og Xbox and play on it. The Halo Theme is a Masterpiece ❤️
I have a pretty similar experience. The first halo I ever played was Halo 2 when I was probably around 8 years old. I ended up playing the halo 3 odst campaign and the halo reach campaign all the way through. I was too young to really care about the storytelling side of the game, I just played it because it was fun. I actually played ended up using the disk with backwards compatibility on Xbox One and beat the campaign like twice. Just a few days ago I found out the master chief collection (halo CE-halo 4) existed and was on Steam for PC. I bought it and just finished the Halo CE campaign and I’m so glad I started playing halo again. The nostalgia is next level, and now that I understand the storytelling I have a whole new appreciation for this series. I can’t get enough of it. Over the next month or so, I’ll probably exclusively be playing this series all the way through in their release order like one giant novel with each game being a different chapter. I start Halo 2 tomorrow and I can’t wait. I love this series.
