Sneaking to the Covenant's gravlift while stealthy sniping in Heroic difficulty, playing Halo campaign for the first time in my life... then, while the battle scalated, 1:41 kicked in just while headshotting one more enemy... I will always remember that moment
@skyraider87 I mean yes, there's that, but there's an overall 'feel' to the beginning part of that music that always gave me that callback to a very old winter night memory of mine I can't fully remember
@@daz3451 you mean the clone that replaced cheif when he was abducted at 6? it died of seemingly natural causes that were actually accelerated due to the quick time in which it was grown. hope that clears things up for you.

Picture this. You finally 3d-printed your first Mjolnir. A full ass armor. The core you wanted, the helmet you wanted, all the right pieces in the right places. One night, you take it outside, onto the hills, to make some nice photos under the stars. A Mjolnir, you Mjolnir, Under the Cover of Night. You are happy.

Darkness, on a weird foreign landscape. It's snowy and cold. A Banshee flies quietly overhead patrolling the area with slight wooshing sounds. It's quiet, very quiet... until you open fire.
I swear blind that Martin O'Donnell is the GALAXY'S BEST COMPOSER! Man, I wish Bungie had never left Halo to be butchered beyond recognition by those barbarians at 343i.
To their credit, 4 was a good try at sticking to what made Halo more than just a story about Space Marines, and then 5 was showing a guy who was just a Space Marine, trying to stop MC's grown affection for an AI that's not supposed to feel or something.
This is badass, I’m honored to have played this as a youngin’
yes, 20 years ago. i was 19 and played this game. wonderful atmosphere.
Badass dork word
Its a honor
thank you for your service

so much nostalgia from this song, oh halo how I miss the.

*Birthday sounds*
One of my all time favorite Halo songs.
This song is the best of the first halo and it sure helped me snipe the covenant forces in the mission Truth and Reconciliation.
👍
When Johnson died and this song played, I legit cried. It really shows that Johnson was here since the beginning.
Hit it, Marines, GO GO GO! The Corps ain't payin' us by the hour!
to me ots only halo 1 and 2 lol
this song didn't play, the song that played was Greatest Journey
Great example of "fake emotional" comments for likes since this track did not play during Johnson's death
@@thegrandhighidiot6134 That's true but "Greatest Journey" is directly based off of this melody. It's like a sequel.
Best halo soundtrack in combat evolved in my opinion. I love this

I have to agree. Every other soundtrack was an orchestrated build off of these classics.
"Final Run"
the first 15 seconds always got me to think it was like thinking of a long ago memory on a snowy night
Probably because the mission that this plays in was a snowy mission at night

The clone lives a life,
The life that was originally meant for you.
Come back to the facility. It is where you belong.
(Halo legends is awesome)
Yes, it really is awesome
Whatever happens to chief's clone? The whole game becomes contradictory at some point towards the co-op.

It was bungie warning us about how badly 343 is going to fuck up the series
Shaggy warning us about how bad 343 were going to be with their best track?
I think its in honor to 343 guilty spark
