I own a X99 K9 and a Xeon E5 2683 V4 and I don't have any of the mentioned problems. Maybe I got lucky but I think they Addressed the issues. Bought it last month.

Legit review,atleast you didn't called it a "trash x99"lmao.i still don't regret buying it,but let's discuss the issues: 1.usb 3 0: I did all the installations and data transfer through the usb 3.0 on my case,it worked flawlessly.(used the boards port only for mouse) 2. Pcie x1: never could have known if it worked or not.dont have a card for it and never gonna have it anyways .lol 3. SMART fan : this is the only concerning issue for me,but r8 now my temps are in 30's. My fellow k9 owners,don't need to be sad cuz 6/10 is decent, considering miyconst. For now my 2620v3(stock)+rx 580 works well for me,temps are good.k9 is still a decent choice as it uses an actual x99 chipset,but ofc go for the x99z v102(if u can),u heard the man.
Looks like we are entering a period of flux where the good old Xeons may be around, but finding any good boards with 4 channel and decent board behaviour = hard. Thanks for another good video with most helpful info. Cheers

I've been running Xeon's in PC for years, My current system is 5 years old, E3 1241 V3, and it games well, maybe one day I will do a video showing how good it really is, great video as always, keep it up.
Back in the days I had a Xeon E3-1230 V2, E3-1230 V3, and E3-1231 V3, then Intel decided that enough is enough, and the consumer boards were no longer compatible with the Xeon CPUs, which is a shame.
@@f3arne so far there is no alternative, this function is broken on the motherboard, but perhaps it's possible to fix it with a new BIOS, but there is no such BIOS available.

X99-RS9 is a new motherboard from the same factory. It uses cheap B85 chipset, so it's not the same as X99-K9. Anyway, I have already ordered X99-RS9 and a bunch of other X99 boards for a review.
@@Miyconst this is the board, it's called x99 rs9 and actually seems pretty reasonable. for those ~60 euros you seem to get a x99z v102/104 but with only 2 usb 3 ports, 4 sata3 ports and 2 1x pcie slot. one thing that worries me is how similar it is to the x99 k9, it might have some of the same issues. i might be comfortable saying that it has a genuine x99/c612 chipset because of thoso cutdowns like less usb ports and sata ports. another thing: i went to look for some reviews and all of them are about a x99z v104 which is just a v102 with better power delivery. :) a.aliexpress.com/_BUiHpM
SZMZ X99M-G2 is exactly the same as JingSha X99M-H2, which I have already reviewed on the channel. Still, I might do a dedicated review for this board as well.

Thank you for the support! I am keeping an eye on those mutant CPUs, but can't myself buy one as I already have a long queue of videos in progress and hardware lying in my locker. Maybe in the future I will do something with these CPUs, but so far it's not planned.
I was thinking of going from x79 turbo to any x99 for more power in games, but I see that this one in particular gives problems ... in case there is not one that does not have problems?

I didn't find any downsides of the S3TurboTool method, but I don't think I will be making a video about it. Instead, I will slowly update Mi899 with new BIOS modifications.
Nice video. There is an important point about WiFi Cards: Not all cards works, because some M.2 Wifi Cards work over CNVio, they are few cards, but they just dont work. I got an Intel AC 9560 NGW, but unfortunately it does not worked. The right card for that generation would be the AC 9260. For Wifi6, the AX200 must work (but the AX201 do not, because CNVio2).
Ive ordered this just to mess with it, Ill try several different cpus 22nm and 14nm, with proper airflow tower cpu cooler. My asus x99 is ok evne with 1,8V, after seeing your review I would say 0,8v would be just fine :D
I bought a Machinist X99Z V102 and the Smart Fan function also dont work. The motherboard does not have a CPU sensor temperature (at least in BIOS it wont show the CPU temperature) and the fan speed is static. The package power sensor reading is wonky, it shows 9W in stress. Tried to flash lots of different BIOS none of them solved the problem.
Thank you for the feedback. Seems like they have broke something in the production line, because the early versions of X99Z V102/V104 had fully functional smart fan. Just to make sure, do you use 4-pin or 3-pin fans?
@@Miyconst Mine came as "Machinist X99Z V102A", bought a month ago. Came with C612 chipset. The stock BIOS would not boot if I change anything on the BIOS configuration, even the fan speed. After flashing a new BIOS I solved the boot problem at least. I think platform x99 is not a good choice anymore, not for gaming. Maybe a Ryzen 3500x am4 would be a much smart build. However, in Brazil, there are many people waiting for Huananzhi x99M F review, since it is the cheapest motherboard and the Xeon 2620 v3 has the supreme cost benefit for average gamers.
@@jorgelucascouto thank you for the additional feedback, I have not yet tested the X99Z V102A, seems like they have screwed up this revision, which is very sad. I do agree about Ryzen, if you can afford a cheap B450 motherboard + any Ryzen 3000 series - it's a way better option for gaming.
@@Miyconst I use a 4 pin fan. The Smart Fan function has 4 speeds adjustable from 0 to 255, I keep the first speed at 150 and the 120mm cpu fan rpm stay around 1200rpm.
@@jorgelucascouto try to apply values such as 90 / 120 / 190 / 255 and observe if the fan changes its rotation speed according to the CPU temps. Also make sure to adjust the CPU temp steps to something like 40 / 55 / 65 / 70 / 74.
Whaching this video on my k9 mobo already :D To be said, I didn't meet any issues with engineer BIOS on this particular mobo. Don't have unlocked CPU or usb3 device to test, but S3 TB unlock works fine, fan control also works for me. PCI-E1 is unused in most cases anyway, as it is blocked with full size GPU. But the mobo is not that bad all in all. Guess, we've been waiting for some improvement over previous releases and haven't get it, that's sad.

Would you recommend using this motherboard, or the x99-RS9 instead, or is there a different budget x99 motherboard that would be better for me? I have a i7-5820k, two 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Ram Sticks at 2400mh, and a 6GB Zotac GTX 1060 mini. I would want something with an NVMe M.2 slot, along with a WiFi and Bluetooth M.2 slot.
The fourth bug is that TDP monitoring doesn't work on K9 and X99Z V102A, that was working perfectly on the original X99Z V102. Chinese messed up a lot with newer revisions.

@@Miyconst An add-on PCI-E x1 SATA controller. Since I already know there is an issue with the port, I will likely only use it for replicated data. But I would like to know if you can confirm if there are any stability issues.
@@SimmanGodz I don't have such a controller to test, thus I can only report on what I have figured out with my GT 710 graphics card. The GPU worked well with the basic driver and under Ubuntu, but failed with the official Nvidia drivers. So, the PCI-E X1 kinda works, but there is obviously something wrong with it.

Hi thanks again for your help, I've tried unlocking the turbo on this board with several methods but have not been successful. E5-2678v3 I could not get the intel utility to dump the bios, but afuwinx64 would and it is a 8 meg file. I modified with s3 turbo tool. Flashed it. When I dump it out and run mmtool_e5 the 06f2 microcode is back in. c-states are not staying either, like it's not really writing the bios. I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. @@Miyconst Thanks that pointed me in the right direction. Turns out I wasn't flashing the whole bios. Needed the switches /p /b /n to flash boot, bios, nvram using afuwinx64.
Thank you for this detailed review i have this mainboard. This audio alc662 5.1 is only mamę od the codec and there is no option to connect 5.1 speakers is IT correct? Also im using optane H10 as nvme and sometimes it is note detected but after ctrl alt del it boot ok. As for USB 3.0 my flash driver is workink ok but its slower. As flashing this mb is risky i will save money for huanan mb :/
I do not have any 5.1 speakers to test, I also don't have any Optane drives, thus it's very hard for me to speculate here. From my experience, the USB 3.0 ports work okay with slow flash drives, but connecting a true USB 3.0 device, which leverages the speed, causes issues. It could be a fast external SSD or VR glasses.
Hello, I was hoping you could help me out with something... I plan to get the Machinist X99-K9 motherboard and I plan to pair it with a 2697 v3... and generally use it as a server by putting some hard drives in there. 1. is there a better option or route to go with? 2. would you recommend those 2 items paired? I picked the 2697 v3 due to its high core count, high passmark score, and generally being more affordable

Run Memtest86 from a flash drive. I had the same problem and it was bad memory sticks. Test and if errors, take one stick out. Try again. Etc until you get no errors. Find the bad ram sticks if you have any. They either stop it from booting or will show errors in Memtest86.
Hi, very good video! Is there a BIOS for the Huananzhi x99 f8 motherboard with unlock turbo boost, undervolt and that allows changes in the timing of RAM?
So to be able to get turbo boost to work, this board's bios needs to be flashed? Or is it just for certain CPUs turbo boost? Say if I wanted turbo boost to work with i7-5930K, would the board's bios need to be flashed. Thanks, really curious about this.
No, Tutbo Boost and Turbo Boost Unlock are different things. TBU is a unique bug/feature of locked Xeon V3 CPUs, with certain BIOS modifications it's possible to force all cores to work at their maximum tutbo frequency.

I have a board similar to this one. She had a problem with PCI-express, it was being recognized as PCI-e 1.0 x16. When I uninstall and install the video card driver and restart, it goes back to recognizing as PCI-e 3.0 x16, but on the next restart it goes back to PCI-e 1.0 x16. Another problem is that trying to find a solution to this problem, I tried to change something in the BIOS, and I changed the video option to UEFI, now I have no video anymore.
reset the bios and turn off, then use a different video card to turn it back on, this is common on lots of motherboards, it sucks and is stupid, i test machines all day long at work and is a common problem across all platforms, sometimes i even have to change the ram configuration.

A shame about the problems, as visually it looks very nice which is good for those building systems for selling, since most "noob" PC buyers are sold so heavily on the looks of a PC rather than just the specs/performance haha.

I have sold a few systems in the past for a profit after buying them cheap and upgrading the RAM/GPU etc... but I have been very tempted to get into actually building systems from scratch with X99 Xeons to sell on, but between the terrible price of used and new GPUs here in England at the moment, and also the fact that most people see "i5" or "i7" as better than "Xeon" I'm not sure whether I'd be able to sell £500+ systems that contained used CPUs and RAM etc....
You don't know how many people I meet here that when I tell them I use Xeons they say "surely you can't game on Xeons?" haha.... Usually they are people with Ivybridge-Sandybridge i5's that not only get smoked by my 9 year old X5675 at 4.2ghz locked all 6 cores/12 threads with dirt cheap DDR3 ECC memory at 1800mhz triple channel, but also my 2678 V3 with the 3.3ghz all core turbo unlock and 64GB of Quad Channel DDR3 ECC at 2133mhz and CL10 (picked up the memory for £50.... love paying less than £1 per GB of memory haha... £1.5 per GB is the maximum I will pay for ECC DDR3).... I literally sold my 16GB kit of 1866mhz Corsair Dominator Platinums for £100 and replaced it with 24GB of 1866mhz ECC for £20 earlier this year too haha...
You have no clue how many of these people I have met. Once I was about to assemble a gaming PC with the best performance for the money, and the customer just couldn't agree on a Xeon CPU. Then I proposed Core i3-10100F, and he asked me, would not it be a downgrade from what he has now? And he had a decade old mobile i5 with just two Cores 😂. Used market is rather live and rich in here (Sweden), thus my Xeon builds to sell are usually €350-500. Those who are ready to pay more than €500 are either refusing to buy a Xeon or knowledgeable enough to build a Xeon PC themselves.
How did you reset the CMOS on this motherboard? Adjusted the memory timings, and now it won't POST. Took the battery out, removed all but 1 RAM stick, etc., no difference.
Try to find RAM that would boot with these timings.

I also ran into a USB error. Interestingly, it doesn't occur to me during copying, but when I connect my phone, it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. I don’t understand because I don’t see mass feedback about the bug. I contacted the seller but he is not helpful.
I had the same issue with a low grade USB cable, replacing the cable with a high quality, high speed option solved the issue for me.

@@Miyconst Yes, everything is installed, even the optionally offered. Even without that, I check on a new, clean-installed windows, but the same. I could live without plugging in my phone, but the problem with plugging in the jack is pretty annoying. Anyway, thank you very much for your help!

My ram memory is runnig at 1866mhz how can i set it on 2400mhz,did i need to change memory timings? and can u tell me timming for memory if u know.Thanks alot bro!
Xeon E5-2620 V3 is limited to DDR4-1866. With or without turbo unlock, this is the maximum RAM speed you can get with this CPU. RAM timings also have absolutely nothing to do with it.
So far I have tested only a few of the motherboards, so I cannot really say which one is better, but JingSha X99M-H2 or SZMZ X99M-G2 should be okay to buy.

It depends on what you want, if it's a budget PC with something like E5-2620 V3, I would pick the cheapest option, no point in paying more of you won't use the extra features.
@@Miyconst I could have bought the E5-2620 V3 if I knew before that it would fit my needs. I basically use as workstation (Excel, Word, TH-cam and want to go back to Flight simulator) but ended up buying the E5-2640 V3. I still use and ASUS LGA 775. To be honest I'm ASUS fan and being a layman it seems to me that these chinese mobos are in another word...Thank you for the hard work !
@@rickzibr E5-2640 V3 will be fine with any of these boards as well and if you got it for a decent price, then it's a good investment. You can search for Asus boards on eBay & AliExpress, sometimes you can find them for 120-180 Euros. It's an overkill for a E5-2640 V3, but if you want Asus, it may be worth it :)
hi Miyconst, i got an issue with my sound driver with this board maybe you have a solution. i installes "old" Realtex driver 2.72 i believe WITH the realtek HD Audio manager. in this tool i see 5 audio jacks instead of 3 !!! and it let me not configurate what it is when i plug in cable. same driver with another chinese mainboard works correct and shows 3 "flexi" jacks .....
Sorry, it's not really possible to guess what is the issue in your case. I would suggest to identify your audio codec and install appropriate driver with clean Windows installation.
@@Miyconst it Was a clean install 😕 HD Audio Manager Shows 5 Jacks instead of 3 and it's not configurable which Jack should Do rear.,Front ,etc. Very annoying
Go for Huananzhi X99-8M, if you are sure that it's 8M and not 8M-F. The X99-RS9 I have already ordered for a review, but so far I can't say much about it.

I was thinking about "upgrading" my R5 1600 to a 2678-V3 using this board. Thank you for stopping me from making a $110 mistake.
Just replace your R5 1600 with an R5 3600 and it will be a much better investment than the E5-2678 V3.

I've been running Xeon's in PC for years, My current system is 5 years old, E3 1241 V3, and it games well, maybe one day I will do a video showing how good it really is, great video as always, keep it up.
Back in the days I had a Xeon E3-1230 V2, E3-1230 V3, and E3-1231 V3, then Intel decided that enough is enough, and the consumer boards were no longer compatible with the Xeon CPUs, which is a shame.

@@f3arne so far there is no alternative, this function is broken on the motherboard, but perhaps it's possible to fix it with a new BIOS, but there is no such BIOS available.

X99-RS9 is a new motherboard from the same factory. It uses cheap B85 chipset, so it's not the same as X99-K9. Anyway, I have already ordered X99-RS9 and a bunch of other X99 boards for a review.

@@Miyconst this is the board, it's called x99 rs9 and actually seems pretty reasonable. for those ~60 euros you seem to get a x99z v102/104 but with only 2 usb 3 ports, 4 sata3 ports and 2 1x pcie slot. one thing that worries me is how similar it is to the x99 k9, it might have some of the same issues. i might be comfortable saying that it has a genuine x99/c612 chipset because of thoso cutdowns like less usb ports and sata ports. another thing: i went to look for some reviews and all of them are about a x99z v104 which is just a v102 with better power delivery. :)

I was thinking of going from x79 turbo to any x99 for more power in games, but I see that this one in particular gives problems ... in case there is not one that does not have problems?

I didn't find any downsides of the S3TurboTool method, but I don't think I will be making a video about it. Instead, I will slowly update Mi899 with new BIOS modifications.

There is an important point about WiFi Cards: Not all cards works, because some M.2 Wifi Cards work over CNVio, they are few cards, but they just dont work.
I got an Intel AC 9560 NGW, but unfortunately it does not worked. The right card for that generation would be the AC 9260.
For Wifi6, the AX200 must work (but the AX201 do not, because CNVio2).

Huananzhi X99-TF is a much better board, go for it, if you can afford it.
Ive ordered this just to mess with it, Ill try several different cpus 22nm and 14nm, with proper airflow tower cpu cooler. My asus x99 is ok evne with 1,8V, after seeing your review I would say 0,8v would be just fine :D

I bought a Machinist X99Z V102 and the Smart Fan function also dont work. The motherboard does not have a CPU sensor temperature (at least in BIOS it wont show the CPU temperature) and the fan speed is static. The package power sensor reading is wonky, it shows 9W in stress. Tried to flash lots of different BIOS none of them solved the problem.
Thank you for the feedback. Seems like they have broke something in the production line, because the early versions of X99Z V102/V104 had fully functional smart fan. Just to make sure, do you use 4-pin or 3-pin fans?
@@Miyconst Mine came as "Machinist X99Z V102A", bought a month ago. Came with C612 chipset. The stock BIOS would not boot if I change anything on the BIOS configuration, even the fan speed. After flashing a new BIOS I solved the boot problem at least. I think platform x99 is not a good choice anymore, not for gaming. Maybe a Ryzen 3500x am4 would be a much smart build. However, in Brazil, there are many people waiting for Huananzhi x99M F review, since it is the cheapest motherboard and the Xeon 2620 v3 has the supreme cost benefit for average gamers.
@@jorgelucascouto thank you for the additional feedback, I have not yet tested the X99Z V102A, seems like they have screwed up this revision, which is very sad. I do agree about Ryzen, if you can afford a cheap B450 motherboard + any Ryzen 3000 series - it's a way better option for gaming.
@@Miyconst I use a 4 pin fan. The Smart Fan function has 4 speeds adjustable from 0 to 255, I keep the first speed at 150 and the 120mm cpu fan rpm stay around 1200rpm.
@@jorgelucascouto try to apply values such as 90 / 120 / 190 / 255 and observe if the fan changes its rotation speed according to the CPU temps. Also make sure to adjust the CPU temp steps to something like 40 / 55 / 65 / 70 / 74.

Whaching this video on my k9 mobo already :D To be said, I didn't meet any issues with engineer BIOS on this particular mobo. Don't have unlocked CPU or usb3 device to test, but S3 TB unlock works fine, fan control also works for me. PCI-E1 is unused in most cases anyway, as it is blocked with full size GPU. But the mobo is not that bad all in all.
Guess, we've been waiting for some improvement over previous releases and haven't get it, that's sad.
Could you please elaborate, how did you validate the fan speed control, which CPU do you have, and which exactly BIOS do you use?

The fourth bug is that TDP monitoring doesn't work on K9 and X99Z V102A, that was working perfectly on the original X99Z V102. Chinese messed up a lot with newer revisions.
True, I forgot to mention that in my video. This bug is related to the cheap and useless VRM controller.

@@SimmanGodz I don't have such a controller to test, thus I can only report on what I have figured out with my GT 710 graphics card. The GPU worked well with the basic driver and under Ubuntu, but failed with the official Nvidia drivers. So, the PCI-E X1 kinda works, but there is obviously something wrong with it.

Hello, Miyconst my motherboard is an x99k9 machinist but its version is v2.0, and in your Mi899 program it shows v1.0, you must proceed with the procedures of the TU + Undervolt?
I have not tested the 2.0 version, but most likely it has the same or compatible BIOS.

Hi thanks again for your help, I've tried unlocking the turbo on this board with several methods but have not been successful. E5-2678v3 I could not get the intel utility to dump the bios, but afuwinx64 would and it is a 8 meg file. I modified with s3 turbo tool. Flashed it. When I dump it out and run mmtool_e5 the 06f2 microcode is back in. c-states are not staying either, like it's not really writing the bios.

@@Miyconst Thanks that pointed me in the right direction. Turns out I wasn't flashing the whole bios. Needed the switches /p /b /n to flash boot, bios, nvram using afuwinx64.

Also im using optane H10 as nvme and sometimes it is note detected but after ctrl alt del it boot ok. As for USB 3.0 my flash driver is workink ok but its slower. As flashing this mb is risky i will save money for huanan mb :/
I do not have any 5.1 speakers to test, I also don't have any Optane drives, thus it's very hard for me to speculate here. From my experience, the USB 3.0 ports work okay with slow flash drives, but connecting a true USB 3.0 device, which leverages the speed, causes issues. It could be a fast external SSD or VR glasses.
Hello, I was hoping you could help me out with something... I plan to get the Machinist X99-K9 motherboard and I plan to pair it with a 2697 v3... and generally use it as a server by putting some hard drives in there. 1. is there a better option or route to go with? 2. would you recommend those 2 items paired? Run Memtest86 from a flash drive. I had the same problem and it was bad memory sticks. Test and if errors, take one stick out. Try again. Etc until you get no errors. Find the bad ram sticks if you have any. They either stop it from booting or will show errors in Memtest86.

To install the i7 5820k processor, does the bios have to be stock? Or does it still work when you have the turbohack?
You need non-TBU BIOS. The i7 is not compatible with the TBU mod.

No, Tutbo Boost and Turbo Boost Unlock are different things. TBU is a unique bug/feature of locked Xeon V3 CPUs, with certain BIOS modifications it's possible to force all cores to work at their maximum tutbo frequency.

I have a board similar to this one. She had a problem with PCI-express, it was being recognized as PCI-e 1.0 x16. When I uninstall and install the video card driver and restart, it goes back to recognizing as PCI-e 3.0 x16, but on the next restart it goes back to PCI-e 1.0 x16. Another problem is that trying to find a solution to this problem, I tried to change something in the BIOS, and I changed the video option to UEFI, now I have no video anymore.
reset the bios and turn off, then use a different video card to turn it back on, this is common on lots of motherboards, it sucks and is stupid, i test machines all day long at work and is a common problem across all platforms, sometimes i even have to change the ram configuration.

How do we wiln the Board... I have few Problem with x58... Seconds ago I found wake up does not happen with Mouse Move.. Seconds ago FOUND Control Alt Delete WORKS wake up to TASK Manager Option. perhaps Machinist K9 WILL WAKE UP like that ...
In my case the system "wakes up" by a mouse click, but the screen stays black, and after a while the system shuts off, thus it's a different issue.

A shame about the problems, as visually it looks very nice which is good for those building systems for selling, since most "noob" PC buyers are sold so heavily on the looks of a PC rather than just the specs/performance haha.

I have sold a few systems in the past for a profit after buying them cheap and upgrading the RAM/GPU etc... but I have been very tempted to get into actually building systems from scratch with X99 Xeons to sell on, but between the terrible price of used and new GPUs here in England at the moment, and also the fact that most people see "i5" or "i7" as better than "Xeon" I'm not sure whether I'd be able to sell £500+ systems that contained used CPUs and RAM etc....
You don't know how many people I meet here that when I tell them I use Xeons they say "surely you can't game on Xeons?" haha.... Usually they are people with Ivybridge-Sandybridge i5's that not only get smoked by my 9 year old X5675 at 4.2ghz locked all 6 cores/12 threads with dirt cheap DDR3 ECC memory at 1800mhz triple channel, but also my 2678 V3 with the 3.3ghz all core turbo unlock and 64GB of Quad Channel DDR3 ECC at 2133mhz and CL10 (picked up the memory for £50.... love paying less than £1 per GB of memory haha... £1.5 per GB is the maximum I will pay for ECC DDR3).... I literally sold my 16GB kit of 1866mhz Corsair Dominator Platinums for £100 and replaced it with 24GB of 1866mhz ECC for £20 earlier this year too haha...
You have no clue how many of these people I have met. Once I was about to assemble a gaming PC with the best performance for the money, and the customer just couldn't agree on a Xeon CPU. Then I proposed Core i3-10100F, and he asked me, would not it be a downgrade from what he has now? And he had a decade old mobile i5 with just two Cores 😂. Used market is rather live and rich in here (Sweden), thus my Xeon builds to sell are usually €350-500. Those who are ready to pay more than €500 are either refusing to buy a Xeon or knowledgeable enough to build a Xeon PC themselves.

It's a rather weak motherboard, but I am yet to test it.
How did you reset the CMOS on this motherboard? Adjusted the memory timings, and now it won't POST. Took the battery out, removed all but 1 RAM stick, etc., no difference.
Unfortunately, clear CMOS doesn't work on this motherboard with the stock BIOS.
@@Miyconst Figures. I used the modded bios (stock with timings & turbo unlocked).
They really screwed this motherboard.
Try to find RAM that would boot with these timings.
I also ran into a USB error. Interestingly, it doesn't occur to me during copying, but when I connect my phone, it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting.

I contacted the seller but he is not helpful.
I had the same issue with a low grade USB cable, replacing the cable with a high quality, high speed option solved the issue for me.

@@Miyconst Yes, everything is installed, even the optionally offered. Even without that, I check on a new, clean-installed windows, but the same. I could live without plugging in my phone, but the problem with plugging in the jack is pretty annoying. Anyway, thank you very much for your help!

Xeon E5-2620 V3 is limited to DDR4-1866. With or without turbo unlock, this is the maximum RAM speed you can get with this CPU. RAM timings also have absolutely nothing to do with it.

It depends on what you want, if it's a budget PC with something like E5-2620 V3, I would pick the cheapest option, no point in paying more of you won't use the extra features.
@@Miyconst I could have bought the E5-2620 V3 if I knew before that it would fit my needs. I basically use as workstation (Excel, Word, TH-cam and want to go back to Flight simulator) but ended up buying the E5-2640 V3. I still use and ASUS LGA 775. To be honest I'm ASUS fan and being a layman it seems to me that these chinese mobos are in another word...Thank you for the hard work !
@@rickzibr E5-2640 V3 will be fine with any of these boards as well and if you got it for a decent price, then it's a good investment. You can search for Asus boards on eBay & AliExpress, sometimes you can find them for 120-180 Euros. It's an overkill for a E5-2640 V3, but if you want Asus, it may be worth it :)

hi Miyconst, i got an issue with my sound driver with this board maybe you have a solution. i installes "old" Realtex driver 2.72 i believe WITH the realtek HD Audio manager. in this tool i see 5 audio jacks instead of 3 !!! and it let me not configurate what it is when i plug in cable. same driver with another chinese mainboard works correct and shows 3 "flexi" jacks .....
Sorry, it's not really possible to guess what is the issue in your case. I would suggest to identify your audio codec and install appropriate driver with clean Windows installation.
@@Miyconst it Was a clean install 😕 HD Audio Manager Shows 5 Jacks instead of 3 and it's not configurable which Jack should Do rear.,Front ,etc. Very annoying

Go for Huananzhi X99-8M, if you are sure that it's 8M and not 8M-F. The X99-RS9 I have already ordered for a review, but so far I can't say much about it.
