    Thank you so much for the video, you have no idea how much your videos help the community from all over the world. I am Brazilian and it is very difficult to find concise technical analysis on these Chinese motherboards, although English is not my native language it is easier to understand the specifications and advantages and disadvantages of each motherboard with the content in English. Thank you very much for making this quality content available. I wish you much success!

    I'm extremely happy with my Killisre D4(with 2620v3), based on your previous videos. It came turbo boost unlocked as well. I haven't had a chance to try any sata drives, sdd or hdd. but the NVMe slot works perfectly fine with the Silicon Power P34A80 NVMe.
    The only cons I've found(outside what you've mentioned):
    -its a little finnicky when swapping GPUs, such at intel to amd, even when un-installing drivers ahead of time. sometimes amd drivers need to be rolled back to for full use.
    -It does not like the stress of heavier GPUs, when mounted vertically. Horizontally mounting the Mobo will fix this.
    -I cannot get some older Microsoft Xbox accessories to work with the mobo. It just doesn't seem to like the drivers, even when you force them on to say an Xbox 360 wireless adapter. Not much of a problem, just the first time I've had this issue with any w10 build,
    BTW whats the largest sticks of ram you've tested in these boards? I'm only using two 8gb sticks at the moment, but am considering upgrading later on. Do you have any recs?

    You are amazing, I have watched I many of your videos in these 2 days and very happy and thankful for your work on testing and validation of these options. I have a few questions though
    1) is it better to invest in a dual CPU motherboard instead of a single CPU option? It will keep a long upgrade path available for future (start with 2620v3, then 2678, then maybe 46xx CPUs)
    2) Why are all X99 options being tested only with E5-26xx CPUs, why are E5-46xx CPUs not being tested with them for higher processing power requirements?
    3) When purchasing a completely new CPU+motherboard+RAM set, isn't it good to buy the DDR4 option instead of older DDR3 ?, Please guide on why anyone would buy older RAM speed.

    I've always been an enthusiast in these kind of "different" setups, I've owned in the past a Xeon and checking your videos, i'm really interested in getting back to it.
    I've got some questions if possible for you to answer:

    2) If so which one do you think could be an option?
    3) Is a PSU Corsair 650 enough to handle a system with a Xeon 12c, for example?
    4) And finally, i already checked the shipping for my country (Portugal), but since it's normal shipping i have to pay a lot for customs.
    How do you manage to ship to EU and bypass normal shipping? I already talked to tehm for a DHL or UPS carrier, but no luck!

      Then just leave the BIOS settings on default, do not overclock and do not tighten the RAM timings. Machinist X99Z does not turn into bricks on its own, it only happens when you try to apply some invalid settings in BIOS. I cannot control the RAM timings and I have 8x32GB DDR3-1333 DIMMs on each. All of the DIMMs can work at 1600Mhz individually, maybe even more, but the boards have to run at 1066Mhz or they will freeze on memtest86. It's very difficult to run 8 four rank DIMMs on almost any board (even on branded boards). With X79 based boards they don't work out of the box, I have to put dual ranked modules, set the timings manually, and then swap to four rank modules because AUTO config fails. Another thing that I need is headless mode (boot without GPU), and it works fine even without any actual option within the BIOS. I'm missing the option to restore last power state on a power failure, thou.

      Hi. As far as I know, it's exactly the same board as Machinist X99Z, just a slightly different look. You can post a picture of the board if you want to double check. You can use mine Mi899 tool to flash the turbo unlock BIOS if the board is X99Z.

    By the way, there is a DDR3 variant of the Jingsha X99 D8, that would be a good alternative to the corresponding Huananzhi boards (and costs about 79 EUR currently). My X99-TF and Xeon 2678 V3 finally arrived last week, and overall I am quite happy with both. There is a bit of BCLK variation (it stays at 99.74 - 99.94 MHz mostly but it peaks up to 108 Mhz) and the front USB3 slows down to 20 MB/s after ca. 20 seconds. My CPU also doesn't like the -20 mV undervolt on the memory controller if I try to run 2133 Mhz DDR3 memory. But I am also satisified with 1866 Mhz with very tight timings (got it to 68.4 ns latency and 58k write speed in AIDA - 4 x 8 GB SK Hynix 1866 with BFR chips and ECC). My gaming performance with a Vega 56 is better than on my Ryzen 2600 with 3466 Mhz Micron Rev. E RAM and tight timings. And as my Ryzen CPU was a very bad sample which didn't OC over 3800 Mhz, I happily sold it and got a better system for a lower price. Thanks a lot for your videos which did help me a lot!

      I am glad to help and thank for sharing so much useful information. Could you please clarify about the USB 3.0 ports. The transfer speed slows down after a while, but what happens with the system itself? Does it stay stable or hangs / crashes?

    • @seylaw
      @seylaw 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Miyconst The system is stable, it is just that the transfer speed is below expected levels (from 60 MB/s for the first minute it goes down to around 20 MB/s after crossing a certain threshold). I will investigate it further, it could be harmless.

    Do these boards support Core i7 on 2011-3 as well and are all of them C602/X99 based.... I happen to have a Core i7 5900k on shelf that I would like to use...
    Because I found older variants to be based on H61

      @Miyconst  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, these boards support Core i7 CPUs, and the i7-5XXX can also work with ECC REG memory, just so you know. Some of these X99 boards have bad PCI-E layout which affects CPUs with only 28 lanes, but i7-5930k has 40 lanes, so it shall not be a problem.
