  • Welcome back to Drifting South! This series takes you from British Columbia, Canada to Baja California Sur in an RV. This week I am recapping the past few weeks with my parents visit and showing you a little bit about how we found a place to stay in San Carlos. This quiet fishing town has very little tourism so it was difficult finding a spot online to park the RV. We decided to stay in Ciudad Constitución which is about 30 minutes away, so that we could do a recon mission in the truck. We decided to stay at Mar y Arena villas which has a nice parking lot on the ocean for us to stay. We have a power hook up and bathrooms and showers to use nearby. We will be here for a month and are really excited for all the fishing we will be doing in this amazing bay.
Thank you so much for watching! I hope you consider subscribing if you haven't already!! Take care until next time!

Thank you Norm! That nightlapse turned out so cool! I love seeing the axis and spinning all around it. I am currently working on our Magdalena bay adventures. We will be here for another 3 weeks!

Baja is quite beautiful, and you catch a shark. Enjoy!! We got hit with 75 cms in three days in the Laurentians. Its a moral booster to watch your videos, thank you!

Hi Jenny and Brett. Nice looking country, and the warmth must be nice. Woke up to 15" of snow, and -12. Being in the Fraser Valley, I'm not used to this, and I'm from Alberta, and Mum and Dad were REALLY cold. Lovely night shots. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy your holiday. Later.

I hope the weather is getting better for you so that the snow melts. We have been enjoying the temperatures very much. It’s been so much warmer since we arrived on the west coast.
      Thanks so much for watching.

Yep, the snow is melting as it warms up, and of course, now we're wading. LOL

Have stayed in many of the places you have back in the early 2000's - love Baja and the fishing, what I was disappointed in was the amount of trash everywhere - plastic bags, old tires, discarded appliances, you name it. It seemed that there was no effort to dispose of trash besides out the window or push it out of a vehicle. We were camping south of Ensenada in 1980 on the beach for 10 days and some locals came there fishing - we offered them some beers, when they were finished they broke the bottles on the rocks. Sad !

Baja California has been an amazing place to explore. I feel very lucky having google maps to plan out trips. It would have been so much more of an adventure without google earth and social media information exchange. Very cool. What would you say was your favourite stop along your trip?
