      @TheArizonaHooligan 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Gemini_Connect Well, you are crushing it. There are a lot of creators that set themselves on a pedestal, and it's such a turn off no matter how good their content is. The two of you have a superb blend of storytelling and reviews, and you present them in a “we’re regular folks like you” style that is so natural. It's not difficult to see why you are enjoying the success you have rightfully earned.

      @@TheArizonaHooligan yes because viewers like yourself put those TH-cam channel type idiots on a pedestal in the first place.. SO dont complain that those you tubers act that way. Perfect example here on this channel you are complementing them on what is not a very honest video saying "Yaaah your so awesome rainbows and everyone is beautiful" encouraging more fake or not true videos. This video was not a honest video and is a bit misleading in what they were trying to say about the product and the reasons why. It was more of a plug for a commercial product so they could make money for endorsing the product or because they got it for free. NOT because its a better product or better system to use then a GoPro set up or another setup.

  • @SetitesTechAdventures
    @SetitesTechAdventures 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    At 9:09 I could hear the mic unplugging but the audio didn't change. Was the Rode not actually the source or is the sound that darn similar? Plus the whole time there was a background roar (that might have been a plane) that shouldn't have been present with the Rode given its directionality and windmuff.

    I love the idea that it’s simple. I travel with my GoPro9 and DJI mini 2 and I was looking for camcorder because of the optical zoom feature. The less I can carried the better. Good job guys. Great video as always.

    Attach the TRS-TRRS cable in-between the slots on the tightening nut on the RODE mic to keep the cable from bouncing around all over the place and reduce microphone movement.

    Do the Moment lenses make a big difference?
    Can you make a video about that?

    • @Gemini_Connect
      @Gemini_Connect  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They made more of a difference before camera phones had multiple lenses built in. But there are several Moment lens that are special and even built in phone lenses cannot yet achieve (ie. Fisheye, macro, and anamorphic lenses). I did an old video review on Moment Lenses, but should really do an update - th-cam.com/video/RTKlMeTq_VM/w-d-xo.html

    • @Gemini_Connect
      @Gemini_Connect  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MX-CO Best advice is to use the gear you have and buy accessories if you run into enough scenarios when you need it. Synching the Zoom audio with GoPro is done in post production in editing software. It's kind of a hassle. Personally, I'd avoid recording the audio separately unless you have a really good reason to do it.

    When you are using the Rode Micro Video Mic, can you not just flip it around if you're in front of the camera and vlogging, and then flip back again when you are in the back of the camera? It certainly appears to that you have enough room. 🎙

    I like my Samsung Note 20 better than my Hero 9 but the hero 9 has better stabilization and costs less to replace. I agree with the low light thing but I really don't record at night. I think my Note 20 is easier and more like a point and shoot. The hero 9 doesn't really have an auto setting.

    • @Gemini_Connect
      @Gemini_Connect  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True. The Hero 9 can be put on Auto, but it requires tweaking a few settings all to auto mode, rather than one comprehensive auto setting.

    • @Gemini_Connect
      @Gemini_Connect  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a fair point. The kit is not the cheapest, but the build quality justifies the price IMO. To be fair, the Rode VideoMicro is probably the most valuable part of the kit and it is $60.

    • @KaioshinAemi
      @KaioshinAemi 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Gemini_Connect yes that microphone is the most expensive of that kit. I can buy Ulanzi accessories with other mic for total of $70 which is saving me $80

    • @RViscara
      @RViscara 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KaioshinAemi Exactly!! That phone clamp thing is the same exact one as ulanzi "Probably made by ulanzi" and the tripod is made by a dozens of companies already nothing special there. Only difference here is the silk screened log of "RODE" on it. The whole thing about making it sound small or easier to use then a GoPro setup is just plain wrong and a bit weird that they tried to sell it for that reason. Made no sense as the GoPro setup is so much smaller and compact and just as easy. If they were just saying they use the phone by itself because its in their pocket without the tripod and phone clamp and mic yah but not what they showed in the video.
