Thanks for sharing your Shimano knowledge. Been a Shimano fan for about 1/2 Century and right now I'm loven the Curado DC 150HG.! "Tight Lines and Full Limits To Ya"
Thinner diameter lines will cast further and make the spool spin slower when compared to heavy lines, so yes, it could but I haven’t found it to be super critical. Find your brake patter that works for your casting level and go one up or down from there.
Hi JP, unrelated but do you think there will be larger spool versions like a 500 of the Conquest MD? Would like just a little bit more mono capacity for the salmon fishing here in Norway
Thanks for the info between the Curado MGL and the SLX MGL

Calcutta md next?
New 23. Waiting on mine.
Your video for the tranx 400 was outstanding and helped me transition to baitcasters.
I can do that!! Stay tuned, I will try to get it done in the next couple of weeks

If Shimano doesn’t make it I don’t buy it!! Shimano rules!
Similar to the Shimano SLX MGL
Yes, MGL Spool equipped reels will typically have the same 6 pin system. MGL Spool 3 systems will have the 4 pin version

I haven’t heard of anything like that to be honest but with the Shimano engineers you never can tell what they are working on
