    Thank you so much. You just saved me a ton of time. I pulled the panel, looked around and couldn't see anything wrong, then, based on your video I pulled that wiring boot and found that about half the wires were broken. Yay, dude-you helped me nail the problem.

    Thank you a bunch, my 98 4 Runner works great with the key, but only rolls down with the center consul switch, after stumbling on to your video here I when right out and popped that rubber boot off and found the Red wire broke in half, That was the problem. 2 other wires are about to break. You saved me a lot of frustration. Thank you and keep up the good work. Jeff 🤠

    Thank you so much! The problem was exactly the same as yours: a broken wire, nothing more. We were ready to bring it to a garage and dreaded spending more money on our Toyota... You saved us time and money, and made us feel proud to have been able to fix the problem on our own. With your help, that is... Thank you for sharing!

    Just to let you know how much your videos help people. I've been trying to fix this issue for years and would have never imagined this one location was the failure. I had five broken wires and four getting ready to break. BAM!! COMMUNITY AND TEAMWORK RULES!!! 🤙🏼

    Thank you so much. 2011 5th generation identical problem. You saved me a lot of heartache. Moved the wire harness slightly and the window went straight up. I'll fix it when the temp is above freezing.😊

    Thank you for posting this video. I did the same as you.....tore into the assembly only to find a broken wire as you did, in the same exact spot.

    Thank you bro! My problem was the rear wiper not seating on the rest properly. Put it in place and it went right down. So this issue also applies to 3rd gen.
    Saved me a lot of hassle. I was already mentally preparing to go down to the salvage yard to replace the motor haha.

    You literally just saved us months of headaches that the manual doesn’t even include - it doesn’t say anything about back wiper in relation to the “one touch” reset. Within one minute of watching you fixed this! Side note: do you have any tips on reverse camera not working also? Any secret inside info greatly appreciated. It’s a 2018 and we’ve checked the fuses and not found anything however Toyota at some point apparently stopped providing a readable legend 🎉 and auto stores don’t have either.

      Glad to hear it! No, can't provide any insights into the 5th gens unfortunately... Us 3rd gen owners have never seen a backup cam in our livesXD I'd imagine a quick Google/TH-cam search would come up with some good info. Also with 2018 that might be covered under Toyota warranty. I'd check with your dealership

      Yeah, it's a bummer. I just wish I had found more info about the cracked wire before I ripped everything else apart haha:D Now I know if it ever happens again

      @@PartimeOverland Well, it turns out I had a failed ECU B; had to hand over 400+ shekels to my local Toyota dealer, but everything is hunky-dory now.

    Hello, good morning. Can you tell me where is the fuse of this window?? Thanks a lot for your assistance. Daniel

    • @PartimeOverland
      @PartimeOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      TOYOTA DC I’m not actually sure where the fuse would be... I’d imagine a quick google search would have the answer

    • @jeffandrewmusic
      @jeffandrewmusic 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Scroll thru that page and find your year. On mine (1997) it's a 30A fuse at the top of the interior fuse box, by the door. It does all the power windows and the sunroof.
      My rear window and wiper are not working right now, and it's somehow causing a parasitic drain on that circuit, which is draining my battery (it goes away when I pull that fuse). I can hear a relay or something clicking back there when i use the interior switch for the rear window. I had a quick look at the wires in the spot where yours were broken, and they looked fine, but I'm gonna check in there again.
      Thnx for the video! Glad you got yours fixed
