At the end, the judge was so choked up, you could hear the sorrow in his voice and I swear he was a bit teary eyed too! So was I. Seeing how the schizophrenic character could be such a bright, articulate man who just became lost to the world when off his meds. I dearly hope some day we can have medications or treatment that help people where the side effects aren't almost worse than the conditions themselves.
@@temperedglass1130 Whoa! What did I say to earn such hostility?
@@DravenGaldon't indulge a troll. I really liked your comment. Its so sad to see that such characters exist and that there aren't any 100% cures for these kinds of conditions. I can understand why the judge was so upset, made me upset too.
@@aaronsmith5223Thank you Aaron! You know, I'm not one for conspiracies, but I think if there is one, it's in Big Pharma, and that they're preventing those cures from hitting the market. I mean, we can create and artificial heart, do a face transplant, reattach limbs, but we haven't found a cure for cancer? I'm skeptical. I think it's possible someone has (at least for some cancers) and they're keeping it off the market for monetary reasons. In their way, they're as evil as the tobacco industry (no offense to smokers!).
Too many wind up homeless and in shelters. So many there do not understand and taunt them.
People who have a proven history of violence and schizophrenia need to be monitored as far as medication compliance goes, otherwise they need to be put in a hospital. At least they have those depot injections these days, but it typically takes a court order to enforce a medication regimen. I agree though, it is sad.
As someone who has worked with mentally ill people, this is heartbreaking.
He's always been such a fantastic actor. Big fan
I'm fairly certain I've seen him play characters with the same issues. Do you know perchance her really has the disorder, or personal experience with it? He wouldn't be the first actor to bring real life to a role.
Denis O'Hare is the GOAT!!!
One of the best performances I have seen on the TV.
Really, this was more sad watching than anything else.
Imagine if at the end he was taken into custody and gave a wink to McCoy signaling he was faking…
I never knew Russell Edgington and Aunt Lydia were related!
wasnt he in a movie as a doctor with Angelina Jolie but she was going insane instead of him
Wasn't that guy on True Blood?.
Magnificent!
He cleans up nice
Is thst Ann Dowd as his sister?
Yes, that's her, in one of the NINE different roles she's played in various episodes of the L&O franchise.
1:08 HOY it's Art Acuña!!!
hi peop
I hate this clip/episode. It portrays people with severe mental illness as dangerous and that is not the case. People with schizophrenia are more likely to be a victim of a crime.
Not always true.
@@iomis2001nothing is always true
They have other episodes which convey the opposite. This episode was simply an extreme case of a dangerous man
in 0:56 this guy literally mentions ZORO FROM ONE PIECE
Wrong Zoro bud 😂Zorro the famous movie character
Nope, that was about El Zorro.
the quality is fantastic
