Holden L67 pacemakers + exhaust system + high flow cats + chip tune

Today we get the first installment of what's in the shop? where I show you a quick vid of some of the cool jobs I have come through the shop. Today I'm fitting a complete xforce exhaust + pacemaker extractors, high flow cats, and chip tuning the supercharged L67 VX Commodore. How did you get past the engine oil dip stick. Mine is in the way, I can’t my last bolt out coz of it

The dipstick should bolt on with the header bolt. Once you undo the top nut you should be able to move/bend the dipstick tube out of the way.
It's O-ringed into the block with a little persuasion you can actually remove it completely

How much extra would it cost to fab up the cat extensions (mid section) @ an exhaust shop apx if i used my old cats & just extended ?

Hey mate I can't say what an exhaust shop might charge. There is probably a bit of tube required and some labor/welding and stuff.
I wouldn't bother with the stock cats as you can get high flow ones now pretty cheap even ebay ones are ok

hi Bennet, ive got me a set of these headers to go in my converted l67 vy berlina wagon - was just wondering about the passenger side header , near the top is that round pipe sticking out (for the ecotec v6) did you plug / weld that ? getting mine put in tomorrow 17/3/21

Hey mate, the L67 doesn't have EGR like the NA. On the pipes it was already blocked just a pipe welded there, but didn't go through to the actual headers, hope that helps haha

Hey mate, I have a L67 stock exhaust, just replaced stock cats but have a leak on the flange from manifold to cat. Any tips on installing the cats to remove the leak? I've tried 5 times but won't piss off. I live down Victor Harbor way, pretty cool to see a 'local' on the tube

So the leak is at the cat, where it bolts up? Sometimes the flanges warp due to the cats getting so hot, this means you'll never get a good seal. You may have to machine the flanges flat again. I always like to use high temp copper gasket glue as well

@@Phil_Bennett oh damn! Would it be possible to square them up with a file? With the copper glue does it go on both mating surfaces before installation or do you just put it around the leak?

$1000 off parts before labour and didn't spend $100 on a pulley upgrade surprised he didn't hit you up while you were there

His mate around the corner at custom LS tunes has the correct puller tool, he drove straight there after leaving mine to change the pulley haha
