      I happen to have quite a sweetheart VX myself with a factory L67, barely broken in (104k) on the odometer, with stupidly OCD prior service history from the former HSV mechanic who retired, etc
      It's a former "evaluation vehicle" that was never meant to be on the road, Holden engineering owned it for a few years, etc. It's been pre-tuned along with running a higher tuned XU6 PCM, it's really quite rare in itself especially considering the service history has like 15 inches of paperwork from his services at Holden 😂😂
      I was actually talking to wicked earlier this afternoon.
      Keep the classic Ford's coming Pete !

      @@ThomasFG Sadly, many have forgotten about the Monaro CV6. Holden detuned the L67 and decided to only fit them with a slush box when the engineers discovered they were quicker than the CV8. 😫🤣😆😋

    Keep rambling man... There are a lot of young guys just discovering these old Commodore classics. As regards the hard start and idling... the crank angle sensor/coil pack DFI module probably has seen better days. Also probably the IAC, idle air control valve could be sus. As I said before keep on rambling man.

    hey mate cool setup! ive got one in a vs ute with deked heads, 3.4" pulley and few other little things. but id be looking at the iac valve for that starting issue, the idle air valves are a little bit of a joke along with the dfi aftermarket ones come out of the box hardly working, also i saw that big vac line under your throttle body to the charger, its gone tanned colour, id be getting that off there they crack pretty well soon as it goes from black to that tan yellow just something ive found to be cracked under the pipe out of view on all l67s ive seen as its out of site out of mind most people dont change it also its in the bottom below the throttle body

    • @wickedxe
      @wickedxe  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I looked at that hose and it is not split (that I can see) but like every other rubber hose it owns is buggered and needs to be binned. The pcv valve I am going to shoot a video about. The IAC valve is sweet as I have looked at it when I got the car BUT the throttle body could do with a clean for sure and the base idle clearance is most likely not great because of not being cleaned

    Looks like a nice car to me, sounds happy enough.
    I like the access to the front of the engine, im no mechanic but some cars are a shit to get to the drive belts and alternator :-(.
    Not sure about doing a dyno, excessive stress testing may damage that working engine, just my uneducated opinion.

      3.08 is the M78 rear end (available in LSD & non LSD form)
      3.07 (V8 & Supercharged V6) is the M80 rear end (again, available in LSD & non LSD form)

    Doesn’t have a code for LSD on id tag

      If you're not sure what you have, raise both back wheels and give one a spin by hand... if they both rotate in the same direction you got LSD. If they rotate in opposite directions to each other you have a standard diff.
