Hey Knitting bestie, What are you working on?
I’m so sorry about your grandmother. Mine passed 10 years ago. She taught me to knit over the “telephone”! I miss her often. Love is forever💕 Lorien
Congrats on casting on your dream project !!! Love to see your knits and thanks for sharing the latest issue of Laine .. I agree there a lot of great patterns in it ..
🍍 🥥! I love the colors you chose. Your color game is always perfect! Can’t wait to follow along as you make it.
The Pina Colada will be glorious! Good on you for being so brave to make it! You lifted up your work and my first thought was "intarsia from hell" and I got scared 😅
My Dad ( retired ) was a cabnet maker as well !! He started in high school ! That BURPLE color is AMAZING on you !! So sorry about your GMa .....
Spinni is my favorite isager yarn yes it’s a heavy lace weight single stand❤beautiful
I made the Winter Moonlight cardigan by Minimi Knit Designs and I really loved it. It has an integrated collar/button band which is like +1,000,000 design points for me. Your pyramid light is so pretty!
Enjoy your podcast. I have a sock suggestion for you. My husband loves hand knit socks. He was wearing through them at the heel turn/bottom of the foot area. I used the reinforcement threads for awhile and it works well but it will marl the color. I also would never have the color I wanted when I got to the heel or struggled to find it stocked at yarn shops. I always have some yarn left at the end of a sock project and decided to just hold yarn double. It works great. When I get to the bottom of the heel flap I pick up the end from the other side of the ball and hold the yarn double when I turn the heel. I cut that when I start the gusset decreases. I have two extra ends to weave in but it’s easy peasy.
I really love the color of your Pyramid Light sweat 🤩
Oh thank you!🖤
Laurel, I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of your grandmother. Mine passed away 2 months ago today and I was extremely close to her as well. It’s still very difficult in the day-to-day, but I find “talking to her” (I literally talk out loud to her all the time) helps me to still feel connected to her. And knitting…it always soothes the soul! Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.
So sorry for your loss 💝
So excited to see how the pina colada knits up- what a spectacular, ambitious, beautiful and exciting project!!! 🤩
So sorry for the loss of your grand mom. Thank you for the info on reducing the ease in a pattern. It is very helpful. I nearly fell over when you said my name. Thank you!
I’m new to your channel and immediately subscribed. I love all your knits and you are an inspiration for me for sure. I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my husband about a year and a half ago and he was a big supporter of my knitting as evidenced by the many, many pairs of hand knit socks I have boxed up since he passed. I have been trying to decide what to do with them and I think I am going to try and salvage the yarn from them and work them into a scrappy blanket that I can snuggle with during the colder months. 🖤❤️
I’m so sorry for your loss, I love the idea of repurposing the socks into a blanket! I have known others to make quilts out of special garments from a loved one’s clothes. It’s a wonderful way to remember them and have something to wrap up in and feel closer. 🖤
I’ve worked with Berrocco Remix a fair amount & thought you must be confused about Remix light being called DK. I looked it up and you are right.
I agree with you!!! Remix light is sport weight at best even after blocking. And Remix in my experience is more closely to DK. I’ve used 4-5 different colors in Remix and 1 in Remix light. I’d use Remix for a DK project.
Nicole is definitely think the yarn is advertised incorrectly
Wow! Your Pina Colada pullover will be a masterpiece! Looking forward to seeing your progress in your future episodes ❤
Your intro music is too loud I can’t hear you over it.
