I think we all must put ourselves in uncomfortable situations.
Without the challenge a person can't grow.
In the end comfort is the enemy. :)

Alright I’m getting back to jiu jitsu. Was going on and off for a while because I got tired of seemingly improving at a very slow pace. I must embrace the suck and push through.

Turns out that this sweet talking, suit wearing director, is a Renzo Gracie Black Belt....which makes him harder than a coffin nail.

He’s been lucky because I’ve been to gyms that unfortunately has nothing but bullies. It put me off and I stopped going. They all had no structure and it was nothing but egotism and unhealthy competition. Shame.. I’d have been at a decent level by now.

My first gym was like that. I went for 4 months and then decided to stop going. Found a new gym, and been there almost 2 months. Difference is the new gym is amazing, vibe is great, and everyone is supportive of each other. I hope you find your gym my friend. 🙏🏼

Definitely try a new gym my man. The ones local to me are like yours - I travel a little bit to another instead, which has a really friendly and helpful atmosphere
