I never go to a movie for a first date. On a first date, I want to get to know the woman I am with, not go to watch a story in a darkened room full of other people where you don't talk to each other.
There was a video like this where a girl brought the op to a family reunion as a first date and he told her what a fucking idiot she was in front of her entire family. I can’t find the video anymore but that was my favorite date story.

My worst (first) date at one point started complaining about boyfriend in current tense. Got confused, asked her to clarify her dating status and then if she's poly or something and she answered no. Called me entitled when I was befuddled by this and hit the roof when I suggested splitting the check. Re-checked her profile afterwards and nowhere did it say she was already in a relationship and wasn't looking for another. Sure taught me to not message women out of my league.

Given how many horror stories I've heard of women being put in danger by dates, I kinda get this one. Me personally, I refused to date any guy outside of my church. Mainly it was for reasons of shared values, but also standards of behavior and third-party insight and involvement. We deliberately foster close, honest, platonic relationships in our church, so if someone's not ready/safe to date, people in the congregation will be able to warn you.

Not sure if it’s bad for us to share our own stories but I’m gonna anyway. My best friend and I had known each other for about a year at the time and we knew our feelings for one another so we decided to both pop the question at the same time. We ended up dating for around 6 months and actually broke up quite recently so it’s still fresh in my mind. Well fast forward about 5 months into dating and I decided to go visit her (she lives a few hours away from me) and she was very lovey dovey and was all over me, which I knew she hated touching others or being touched, so it was a bit odd. I ended up visiting her again about a month later and she began acting like herself and wasn’t putting on an act, which was a complete 180 from last time. One thing I completely forgot to mention is that she is an undiagnosed borderline sociopath, so she has emotions, but it’s not easy for them to come out, and it never really bothered me until I saw it in person. She had to work most of the time I was there which I understood, but there were a multitude of times where she just ditched me and showed no guilt for it, which really pissed me off. We eventually talked to one another and both came to the agreement that we are in different stages of life and need to both figure things out. I’m glad we broke up on good terms as we are still best friends but we both agreed we were both childish in some ways and could’ve been better about the relationship as a whole. I don’t see the relationship as a mistake as we made each other happy but a part of me kinda felt like it was gonna happen and I didn’t want to accept it. I’m just glad we didn’t let it taint our friendship. We have both accepted to just be friends!!

@@ariadnefrolich7243 yeah I pressed charges but once I heard his version of the events ie kate going on the day of my date oh you know your date is a feminine man ( thanks Kate ) he was really angry for being tricked he spent like a year doing community service and I have a restraining order I only did this because I came away with two broken ribs and a few really intense bruised muscles on my arm and my leg I was very lucky and I wasn't going to completely ruin this guy's life over us both being lied to

My only blind date went well horrifically I walked my friend to the bus stop and she had a friend let's call him "Bob" now Bob was a straight man and I am a trans woman my friend let's call her " Kate" Kate assures me that Bob was gay do I felt safe talking to him and he had met me while dropping Kate off to the bus stop and Kate got me his number and we texted for a bit now for some reason I pass quite well so not many people question my gender Bob did not until that is until the day I was going to meet Bob at his college to walk and get coffee and have a date however Kate decided this was going to be the day she was going to out me ... Bob did not take it well I text him and told him I was outside of the collage he ran out of the college red faced welding a hammer from the construction classroom screaming every slurr under the sun I ran got hit in the ribs shoulder and my leg when he threw it and caught me in my leg after contacting Kate in tears while hiding to make sure Bob wasn't still chasing me I explained what happened and her response was " huh I thought he was gay my bad"

Unsurprisingly I didn't speak to her for years and when I did she got pissy because I was flirting with her ex which he started and we actually got on my only comment was " the last time I cared the guy you set me up with tried to kill me with a hammer"

@@ariadnefrolich7243 yeah I pressed charges but once I heard his version of the events ie kate going on the day of my date oh you know your date is a feminine man ( thanks Kate ) he was really angry for being tricked he spent like a year doing community service and I have a restraining order I only did this because I came away with two broken ribs and a few really intense bruised muscles on my arm and my leg I was very lucky and I wasn't going to completely ruin this guy's life over us both being lied to

@@morticiaaddams7866 I have legitimately no idea we were great friends never argued but she popped up later in life when I was in a hostel accommodation and apparently she has bi polar not that that really explains anything that happened tbh
