Vocaloid is more of a thing for people who like anime and music. They have cute little anime girls sing songs that alot of depressed teenagers can relate to! Most vocaloid songs (or at least the majority of the ones I've listened to) are about suicide, such as Tokyo teddy bear, hitorinbo and envy, lost one's weeping, and mind brand.
About sex, such as sweet devil, hibikase, and romeo and Cinderella.
About stress, and depression, such as sand plannet, churrida churrida dadada, patchwork staccato or the disappearance of Hatsune miku.
Or even about the merder of children, such as kagome kagome, or secrets of wisteria.
I can't think of many vocaloid songs that don't have a dark undertone. The music she listens to is just as bad as everything else. She just doesn't know, because I guess she never bothered to learn what the lyrics actually mean. Lol.

Well... They sing about everything. Vocaloid is made by the general people. It is a program you can buy and make music with. So there is vocaloid music in almost every genre and about a lot of things. It depends about the vocaloid artist. Utsu P makes death metal with Vocaloids... MASAworks makes either very disturbing songs with themes of necrophilia, murder, cannibalism, ect. (Almost all of which with sexual themes) and sometimes they make sexual songs about prostitution. Everything for the sake of controversy. Some artists make love songs. Other's make songs about depression or other darker senses of feeling. Some even make songs with comedic sorts of themes. Some songs tell very clear stories such as the Seven Deadly Sins songs... Each telling a Horror tale with characters they portray with a different Vocaloids. It's all up to the creator.
