    They definitely was try to make it a Jimmy Butler vs D Rose beef in Chicago. The Bulls front office always hated Rose oldest brother.

    • @BonesDMS4life
      @BonesDMS4life ปีที่แล้ว +39

      And we haven’t gotten as fair as we did with rose since we traded him . I’m glad they fired that front office

    • @GOODMuzikBoi
      @GOODMuzikBoi ปีที่แล้ว +40

      @@BonesDMS4life 100% agree. What i dont get is… why They traded Rose to NY, kept Jimmy and signed D Wade and Rondo. You couldve kept Rose and ran it back one more year or traded Jimmy the same offseason they did Rose. And started over which they eventually did a year later.

    • @jman1562001
      @jman1562001 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      Yeah that made no sense....three guards who arent great shooters and need the ball smh. thinking they were going to be a good mix. I never got the vibe that Jimmy or rose couldn't work. They played in Minnesota and the respect was mutual. Rose was a different player after the knee injuries and Jimmy was a rising all star. But some organizations just don't have foresight to play the long game.

    Been watching his career since the draft dude is a true winner, just a kid from Chicago made into a man. Another one that understands our culture is what’s carrying society but the game saved him so the pain is undeniable.

      Amen bro. Two sides to every coin, I'm glad the Bulls got rid of that management. They traded Rose for Rondo and Wade, what a complete disaster.

      Dude, D Rose was different. I watched MJ 2nd tree pea as a kid and then stopped watching basket (from Canada, basketball wasnt big). But when D Rose was playing ? Man i was paying that 200$ + league pass subscription just to watch every minutes of him play. Was gut retching seeing him go down live in that game against philly.

    This man is a hero not only on the court but off the court for Chicago natives kids and young adults who grew up watching him. Never been in trouble off the court, never been the type to seek attention, take care of his family and work harder than most NBA athletes due to injuries. I grew up wanting to be a player like rose.. now I want to be a humble man like rose.. he’s a community man as well….

    His reaction of him being traded from the “Pooh” documentary was really gut wrenching. You can tell that trade really affected him because he was drafted by his hometown team and put the Bulls back into a place of relevancy that had not been there since the 90s Bulls days.

    The reporter Derrick starts talking about at the 8 minute mark is Joe Cowley from the Chicago-Sun Times...he infamously trashed Rose pretty heavily with personal insults in his columns (most of which can still easily be found online)...most egregiously, he started spreading unsubstantiated rumors about a D-Rose - Jimmy Butler beef back in the summer of 2015 (the situation he refers to at 8:40 in the video), a claim that was denied by Derrick, Jimmy, and most players/media members from the 2014-15 season

    I fw the interview but they not asking questions the fans wanna hear like.
    Like the injury in the playoffs in 2012
    The national championship game in college
    The 50 point game in Minnesota
    Like this mane rarely talk so this would’ve been perfect to ask what the d rose fans want to know

    Was the reporter Joe cowley or Sam smith? I remember David Kaplan saying that he apologized to Derrick face to face for not understanding what he was really going through

      Sam left the Tribune in 2008 and Cowley’s still at the SunTimes, so it may be Kap.

      I think its Joe cause David Kaplan was in Rose's documentary so I don't there's bad blood there. I know Joe went super hard on Rose every single time and even wrote an article saying he was wrong about him.

    I remember following the bulls around the time he kept getting hurt but had got cleared to play. Dude still sat on the sideline for months and the word was his brother(s) were telling him he should sit. I believe it now
