  • Dwyane Wade on LeBron James leaving the Miami Heat:
“Was it a part of me that was a little pissed? Yeah, I'm human, right? I don't want to lose the best player in the game. What do we do, why do we lose him? Right. And also to now I got to figure out my future.”

I don't forsee him doing a podcast. Lebron is a business man first. As you may already know the closest thing to him doing a podcast, "UNINTERRUPTED" the media network he founded or "The Shop" the show that he owns😅. And he did that before players started podcasting. He's really a savvy business man tbh. Whatever decides to do media-wise it's going to be most likely apart of UNINTERRUPTED in some form.

No mention of Chris Bosh. Lebron was the best player and Wade was the Captain and Leader of the team. However, according to Coach Spolestra Chris Bosh was the glue of that team. Bosh was rewarded with the biggest contract of 2014 free agency resigning with the Heat after Lebron left I think 5 years $118m at the time. Unfortunately Bosh had to medically retire from the Heat and the NBA two seasons into his new deal because of recurring blood clots. Bosh was a second ballot Hall of Famer a legend.

It was also mentioned that it wasn't a completely one-sided thing, Gilbert went too far but he felt betrayed for a good reason.
He was going far above & beyond for LeBron his last year in Cleveland in the first run, and LeBron kept on taking all of the favors even though he pretty much knew he was leaving. THEN he didn't have the decency to even tell him privately that he was leaving. Gilbert found out LeBron was leaving like everyone else did.
So, while their relationship was never the same, LeBron was mature enough to admit to his own fault in the fallout.
LeBron also betrayed the state that was loyal to him since he was so young like was mentioned here. The reason he was so hated in Cleveland when he left wasn't because he left, it was because of 'The Decision' and how absolutely disrespectful it was.

As great as a player that Wade was that off-season he lost 20lbs & came into camp in Great shape. He knew the drop-off in losses when Lebron leaves a team & said he wasn't going to be embarrassed. With that being said I always wondered why he didn't have that mentality to stay in shape regardless in order to help Miami keep winning while Lebron was still there?
