My brother gave me the OG Superior Spider-Man for Christmas the year it came out. It’s what jumpstarted my collecting hobby. I don’t have it anymore sadly, but this one will absolutely hold that same place for me
I still have the Green Goblin BAF Superior Spider-man that got me into collecting, and while this is the must needed upgrade, it's not exactly my favorite Spidey version to get another figure so I'm good with my old Superior Spidey. Still a fantastic looking fig, although the use of old articulation (ab crunch and waist swivel) is another reason that put me off from getting him, I get that it's because of the backpack legs, but since the Retro / RNV mold became the new standard for articulation, I just don't want another Spidey figure with the old articulation system.
Totally reasonable. I feel the same about the torso articulation but he's one of my favorite versions of Spidey and I don't have old version either so he's a cop for me.
Heat the upper torso, remove the arms and shoulder. Trim the peg in half, reinsert to keep it from hitting the chest and you'll gain significant shoulder pivot

Definitely wanna try to pick this guy up. The Superior storyline isn’t my favorite storyline ever, but it is a cool idea, and I also think that this suit just works well as an alternate suit for Peter. Great review.
The og SSM figure was one of my favorite Comic figures. BUT I hated that it had the wrong logo on the back. After much debate, i think I will be upgrading my collection to this figure!
Good review as always Mr. Shartimus sir, the inconsistency of the articulations and the re-used of body mold is very famous for Marvel Legends. After owning the CT symbiote Spiderman (also owned the original Mafex) I'm starting to think Marvel Legends really need to upgrade the whole Marvel legends articulation and designs, plus add a lot more accessories for their price point. Felt like I want to sell all of my ML collections. Waste of money and ridiculous price at my area too. Especially if it's from scalpers.

Someone needs to ask the Hasbro ML team why they put rails inside the butterfly joints on the figures. And if they say it’s to make the arms more sturdy then ask them if they’ve ever tried articulation on a figure that wasn’t Hasbro and why their plastic is so soft.
My favorite marvel legends spiderman. So good. Havent had this much fun with a marvel legends figure in a long time. Hasbro really needs to stop limiting those butterflies with that elongated peg that goes into the torso. It makes zero sense

Was looking for the arms forever, they even hinted at them with the hole in the green goblin baf wave one, and lozaus1 reiterated my love for the figure. I love superior spider-man as well, he has the coolest suit in my opinion. Definitely will get this figure soon

Hasbro's insane inconsistency is whats made me stop buying from them. This figure Is sorta encompasses all of that for me. An amazing looking figure, but they don't use the renew your vows torso and they give you 2 of the backpack thing. I just can't wrap my head around those seemingly random decisions. It feels like there's like 1 rogue employee in hasbro pushing for quality but everyone else is doing their hardest to soil any of the good work
neither of those decisions are random. I believe they used that torso because of the way the peg goes into the back, and there is a clear purpose for the two backpacks. I also stopped collecting ML for the same reasons, but the points you're using are in bad faith.
@@deuce7986 arguably yeah, but those are both decisions that could be evaded. They could just add holes to the back of the renew your vows the way they did it with the venom 2 pack fig, and the 2 back pack things are not necessary. The holes on the one that connects to the legs are in a spot that isn't too noticeable. The holes aren't that distracting, shart said it himself. Wasn't necessary. That being said I'm not mad it's included, just the extra plastic could be used on something else imo. Something like maybe an extra pair of crawling hands or maybe a webbing accessory or like a prop of some sort.
Btw shart idk if you know this, but this figure is sculpted by the same dude who sculpted the marvel legends across rhe spider verse miles and no way home tobey, and if you havent noticed those 3 figures have the ugly crunching back curse where if you crunch then back they look like their backs got snapped, not only that but personally I dont like the way this guy sculpts articulation and the way he sculpts figures overall, theres just something about how that dude integrates articulation, and the weird dimensions and proportions of his sculpt when the figures come out

I had to break in the butterflies on mine cuz they were SUPER stiff but once you do they definitely go ALL the way forward into the chest.

That ryv torso aint even all that. Its so mid. They did the better choice going with this set up. Much more fun to pose around
