Thank you so much for this video. After breaking my first try I didn't try again for a month. I got brave today and decided to go for it. so far so good. I am now waiting for the string to settle in a bit before fine tuning

@@danlandrum Thank you for the offer. I broke one more string, but the last try is holding. I hope to see you in May in Sandy, Oregon. I am looking forward to a lesson in how to restring successfully the first time. Thank you for the offer.

I can't tell you how helpful this was. After almost three hours of restringing I'm really getting the hang of it. Thank you so much!

Dan...thank you very much for your demo...we did this last night, and I think it went OK (string actually wrapped around above the hole, but I now know better.) We now have a lot more confidence and appreciate your technical insights.

I just changed my FIRST broken string! It went smoothly, and two days later, the string is still holding pitch really well. THANK you for this video. It gave me the confidence I needed.

    Dan,
One suggestion... I always start with the bottom course and work up. That way, if I install the wrong string (install a .022 plain steel where a .022PB should be) the incorrect string probably will be long enough to use on a higher course.
Thanks for all the HD stuff you post.

Thank you very much! I have a question though. I tried to string a thicker string (the A3) and I broke my two replacements. Do you need to do anything different for thicker strings?
