Hey James, I really appreciated the video. I’m in the process of trying to decide between the LT1 Trim and 1SS. I put a deposit down on a summit white LT1 with the RS package, black appearance package, and dual mode exhaust. However, I’m second guessing if I should have went with the 1SS. I will never track the car so I probably shouldn’t even worry about it but I do like the fact that the 1SS has the better speedo, wheel size, and larger infotainment screen. The 1SS has the better cooling as well but that’s something I’ll probably never need. I do like the look of the LT1 better though. Are you still happy with the LT1 trim?
I bought a new 2023 LT1 with quad exhaust, rs package, tech package, rubber mats, and it was black with black wheels. It’s an amazing car. Looks amazing for the price.
Nicely done. I was totally confused at speccing a Camaro. Like a thousand piece jigsaw puzzle. Wish I’d seen this a year ago. Ended up with a 2SS 1LE and it’s awesome. Thanks 👍👍
I can confirm the 10 Speed Auto LT1 does have a Transmission Cooler. I had a mechanic friend show me it in his bay at his job and he showed me the lines on my 2020 LT1. It is also on my build sheet KD1 is the code for that transmission cooler and it also has a KC4 code for Cooling system Engine Oil. That is pretty much it for cooling though the SS has more cooling features.
I bought my LT1 with rally stripes as the only option. So I guess for me no options and best bang for buck was paramount. Then I added performance and appearance parts on my own as I could afford it. Thanks for the comparison vid!
Thanks, James. Very informative and thorough. I was looking for an LT1 but after driving one I felt it needed blind spot monitoring. But it isn't an option. I just can't see out well enough; am sure I'd get used to it, but safety is important right out of the box. In today's world, it should be standard.
@@undercoverss6106 No it’s just a R/T. But I’m considering a scat pack as well right now. You’re right about the space that’s another problem with the Camaro.
As bad as it sounds I opted for a 1ss manual. Only option was rapid blue. On the pages all the time people are parting out zl1s and such. As I pay stuff off I was going to get different interior touches from a zl1. Eventually remove the rear seats and get Braum front seats. Then when I pay the car build it. So far me this made the most sense
James, just the video I was looking for. I was looking at the LT1 when the chip nonsense happened. The LT1 is what I want, all wheels same size, non of the track stuff, and the front end looks more Ike the classic Camaro.
I’m in the market for a fun coupe was looking at a bmw 440i then a mustang and now the camaro loving the looks and price of the camaro but I wanna ask what made you choose the camaro over the mustang? Price ? Handling ? looks?
Main reason: Among the "normal" V8 models (so, excluding Shelby Mustangs and Camaro ZL1's), the Camaro has noticeably sharper, more communicative, and more predictable handling than the Mustang. The difference is surprisingly obvious if you drive them even just moderately hard, say 6/10ths, back to back. GM's Alpha platform is an excellent starting point, and the sophistication/cohesion of the driving experience shows that Chevy sweated all the right details in the current gen Camaro. The other reason I went for Camaro was the fact that I've owned two Mustangs before (2012 V6 and 2014 GT), and wanted to try something new. I hope that helps. Good luck in your shopping!
Great informative video I wanted to know the differences and you counted them down 1 by 1. I'm getting the one l e v eight due to your video thank you so much
Me personally I feel they would go up in price because they will get more rare as time goes by due to them being discontinued, especially if you take care of the car
I was recently on the camaro site and the sunroof option is not available on the 2ss, however it is available on the 1ss. . . can't figure that one out about why it wouldn't be available on a higher option package, makes no sense.
How strange, that may be an error on the website. I just checked the configurator and for me it shows that 2SS has a power sunroof option on the "5. Exterior" page.
@@JamesPlaysWithCars I"ll have to go back and look. Are you in Canada by any chance? Sometimes the US doesn't offer the same option packs as the Canada's, I really like the sunroof option. Hoping is just my error
LT1 looks so much better than the SS. The fact that the engine is fine without the additional venting is proof to me they should have just switched all models to this face. LT1 SHOULD have been the 1SS at an affordable price point. Chevy screwed up again.
Your office is boring. I'm going to paint a Large Mazda Vision Coupe on your wall in Soul Red Crystal to spruce it up. It will make your Chevy's jealous though. Lol
Not really, Sean. I skipped most of the aesthetic stuff bc it’s subjective. Spent more time on functional options to let people know what they do and whether I’d recommend them, even though I didn’t buy most of those options.
hey there the twin tips mean nothing and is not worth the 990 dollars! it means nothing,,,,, drop the crazy bathtub muffler and the cats and let your camaro breathe you can do that without the quad exhaust and not pay the 990 dollars...... lets be honest let your camaro breathe! I am old school and know the difference!
Ss bottom grill looks like sharp vampire teeth while the Lt1 grill looks like buck tooth donkey teeth idk why any one would get that configuration it’s hideous imo. Ss 1le only way to go
What are your favorite Camaro options? Comment below!
LT1 v8, and Orange color, and sunroof, T56.
You skipped the red seat belts. Everybody who knows just a little bit about cars knows red seat belts add at least 15 more hp.

That’s exactly what I am gonna buy soon!
What was the total price if you don't mind?
Wow i did too but i added the sunroof. Beautiful car man enjoy it!
Did you buy or lease? Can I ask how much are you paying? I built one kind of like your spec and it’s running 526 a month for a 12k mile lease 0 down

I ordered a 2022 1SS. What my favorite option is the 6 speed manual! 😛

Very interesting - I wonder why Chevy doesn't make that clear. Thanks for sharing this info!
very informative. I would never study the different levels like you have done. Great job.
I miss when the LT1 was only $35000. The whole point was to be affordable, and now it's $40k for a 2024.
Im with you here, I seen a 2024 8k miles for 41k out the door,

Love it
Smart way to go. Either go for the most bang-for-the-buck on the LT1 or just get the SS.
Excellent vid differentiating the plethora of Camaro trim levels 👍🏽

Come on grandpa !! U Shoulve got it
@@undercoverss6106 nah. Got a challenger already, sonny.
@@dychejs was it atleast a scat pack ? Nice cars way too heavy tho. Definitely a lot more space then a 6th gen Camaro tho

Nice job, like you style presenting, I just got a 2023 LT1 manual
2023 aren't out yet
I ordered my LT1 without any spoilers. Npp exhaust, strut tower brace, Tech Pkg, center stripe, alloy pedals, 6-speed, Vivid Orange Metallic.
Very nice! You got a lot of goodies on yours, David
You missed a big upgrade the ss has over the lt1. Upgraded cluster display.

Looking to order a 2023 lt1 this year and this helped alot with my wonders if I should just go SS
Excellent work explaining the options.
Loved the video! Did a huge research on Camaro’s and you said the exact things I would have said! Liked and subbed!!

Great job! Thanx for clearing things up
Outstanding presentation and explanation - well done and thank you!
The exact video I needed. Thank you!
nice explanation, exactly what I needed to know

The 2021 was the last LT1 to come with the track mode. So it has some of the same features as the 1 SS.
I prefer the looks of LT1
trim levels equate to price gouging. Great job.
Thank you so much
Awesome video! I got a question though, Do you think buying a Camaro now is worth it knowing that they are going to retire Camaro in 2024?
Me personally I feel they would go up in price because they will get more rare as time goes by due to them being discontinued, especially if you take care of the car
Very good!
Awesome video
Very informative
Do the 2021 Chevy Camaro has the same doors as the 2023 camaro?
With The basic 7 in screen does it still have Siriusxm? Also can you upgrade to the 8 in screen with out issue?
Great job.
New Subscriber here......What trim level offers the rearview mirror camera that's located in the sharfin?
Hi John! I believe the 3LT, 2SS, and ZL1 currently come with the sharkfin camera.

I’m in California! Calling a dealership is another great way to clear up these questions. Let me know what you find out.
Cause it’s standard
Chevy: “why do we lose in sales to the Mustang?”
Also Chevy: “you have to scroll through 42 different trims to just pick your engine size”
24 recalls so far on lt1 level. 0 for 1SS
The LT1 grill is just ugly. Looks like a Jack-o-lantern.
Many people, including me, prefer the simpler look of the LT1.
