I got a 2022 LT-1 , 10 speed , Bose , technology group , The NPP exhaust, sunroof! Luv this car never getting rid of it! Way better than a 5.7 RT Challenger by far!
I'm a ZL1-1LE owner and I agree. For around $30k you can get into this V8. It's a light platform, and it doesn't have all of the electronics that can become cumbersome. If you're looking to build a race car, it's arguably one of the better entry points cost-wise.
If your mirrors are set properly, there is no blindspot. If the side mirrors are showing the side of the cars, THEY'RE NOT SET PROPERLY. If you have to lean over to see the side of the car, that's the correct way to set them. Setup like this, a vehicle approaching you from the rear, is never out of sight from your mirrors. In my experience, almost 100% percent of drivers have their side mirrors looking at the side of their car, which is useless input. They need to be aimed down the adjacent lane.
Thanks, Que. I've been waiting for a review like this: the more direct comparison with the SS. Glad to know my own assessment holds true. Thanks for the vid and glad to see you back in a Camaro...even if was temporary.
12:40 U made a perfect point. If you're not going to the track, u don't need an ss 1le. If you get what suits u best either way it's still a fun car no matter which one u have 😎
@@QueTheChaotic exactly. Even tho I wanted a V6 and it never came, it made no sense to have a V8 and all I'm doing is daily driving. Like u said, if u have an lt1 u can build it to make it what u want and have the cheaper price tag💯
I daily my LT1. I have sunroof, RS package better headlights, blacked out tail lights and black rally stripes with NPP & 6 Speed. I just took it to Tennessee mountains for a Camaro Rally at Tail of the Dragon. I was hanging around the curves with a ZL1 1LE. Not saying it's faster. The stock tires are ok, but I'd suggest upgrading those quick. The car is a beast. Definition of bang for buck. You hating on the LT1 because it dropped your trade value, but you should have kept yours! I'm hating on you cuz you don't have it anymore! 😅 😢
That’s it. The RS package. That makes it look really good. I know what you mean about keeping up and I believe you. It takes some space for the ZLE to show where it shines. I miss my Camaro crew. I’m glad I got to hang with them at a car meet a couple weeks ago
Good Stuff Que, new subscriber here. Still feels like a dream banging gears in my ZL1 1LE, but it’s nice to see all the trims, especially after stepping up over the years. 2.0t > 2SS > and now to the big daddy 🤣
I love my well appointed LT1. Anything but the supercharger in the ZL1 or 1LE package on the SS is simply aesthetics. I didn't want either for personal reasons so I certainly wasn't going to spend the additional money on them.
alpha platform cars are just too good, the kicker for me is that you can get one of these for less than what people will pay for a type R/Type S at markup and stil have a fine time on the track or backroads Im just not to keen on the look
At MSRP, it would be the most affordable V8 Camaro. But instead the dealerships will tack on unnecessary add-ons and their "non-negotiable" markups to the point where you wonder why your monthly is that high. It shouldn't be over $50K in the course of 72 months for an LT1!
Wavy head Que is back in the building! And I actually agree with you on the Camaro precision as far as handling I was talking more how other things are put together on the car, like for example the back up camera always seems off whenever I reverse it's hard to back up in a straight line with the Camaro's lol the door handles don't feel as sturdy as they do on my Tacoma etc. like that sort of thing, but as far as the drivetrain it's one of the best in my book. I want to drive the LT1 and see how I like it, it seems like a lot of fun and it's crazy how it sounds identical to the SS 1LE, I was watching your video and the whole time I'm like man that sounds exactly like my car!
Yeah the SS front end is waaaaay better and man those revs were good. I must suck at revving cuz I know mine is much louder due to not having mufflers but I can never get my Camaro to sound that loud on video. And I don't have NPP but my Camaro definitely makes all the cracks and pops. From what I can tell. NPP just let's you adjust the stock sound and of course you get the Quad exhaust but as far as I know(you know this) as soon as you change from stock you can't adjust it. So NPP imo is only worth it if you not gonna change the exhaust after the fact(also I guess the diffuser helps too cuz I gotta change mine lol) but yeah I have all the crackles and pops and I don't have it.
I actually think I might like this front end a little more, it looks like a Camaro, the SS looks grew on me but it’s still a slightly confusing look for a Camaro
Its funny cuz the main selling point of these LT1's is the "price" but its not even a bargain compared to the SS. Cheapest I can find these now is 39K and most are pushing the 40's. Just get an SS
It is a good value, the last of a dying breed at this point. For better looks and functionality/tech. The RS appearance pkg. and the tech pkg. solve many of its issues. These cars should have all come standard with blind spot monitoring, but the bean counters have to cut corners somewhere to keep the price down.
As you said, if in budget! I agree with your pick, I would say a 2SS 1LE if they plan on keeping it. That’s the 23 I went with over all other Camaro models. Awesome video as always.
Wassup Que I thinking about ordeing 1SS or LT1 but at a crossroads. I build out a lt1 with a sunroof, npp, gloss black wheels, illuminated bowtie and 1le style spoiler I'm at 42175 msrp. But if I do 1ss the way I want it then I'm at 46,520 msrp. It the ss worth the extra 5345 dollars? Personally only advantages I see is wider rear tires, bigger radio screen and option of mag ride.

Lightest weight camaro + 10 speed = 1/4 mile weapon

Great review, been driving a silver 23 LT1 for two years almost love it.
Good to see Camaro content on this channel again!
I was glad to bring it

🔥 love my lt1. But still wanting a zl1
Nice video. I traded in my 17 1SS for a ‘23 LT1 I built and love it. Recaros and npp were a must for the price if youre going with new imo

@@QueTheChaotic Yes I do. I really hope u come across those two because people really need to stop the extra hype because they're great cars as well.
For me, the SS just made more sense and was worth the extra cash. The dealer did have an LT1 on the lot and I checked out. Not enough features for me.

Thanks a lot! The ZLE is sooooo serious. I’d enjoy owning one
Love the concept of a bargain V8 Camaro. Did you feel the interior was cheaper in appearance vs. your ZL1 or SS?
It actually felt on par. With the knee pads it felt better. I do prefer the alcantara and Recaros but I didn’t feel like this felt any cheaper

I would refer to that as build quality and not precision. The LT1 is basically the same car minus the handling bits.
@@QueTheChaotic Agreed.

If your LT1 isn't close top a base model, SS all the way
Agree, the options take the price way up. Getting my 2020 LTI with no options was a great deal. No regrets.

@@QueTheChaotic the SS would have mag ride. I would just be trying out since u can get it on ss but not the lt1
The SS also has more cooling features for road course use than the LTI. IMO you won't miss magride if not on a track. I don't in my LT1.
