So whats CA reasoning on banning engine swaps if you can make a car run cleaner with a newer engine, and e85 tuning which burns cleaner.

I’ve just ordered my 230i rwd. I had an xdrive touring b4 I got a good price also and threw in all options including sunroof total price £50’800.00 monthly is £540.00. I also tested this against an M2 monthly’s we’re about £599. With 6k dealer contribution and loyalty reduction. But I felt like they were trying to sell M2 at any cost. Maybe they are not selling. It was much harder to get a reduction on the coupe. As for the drive. The 230i felt sublime. You could make it step out nicely, controllably. But it was the acceleration that was eye popping. It was so quick it felt like a 310bhp car. You felt like you could throw it around and traction was rock solid. The M2 was a bit of a handful to drive.

Very useful video. Always wondered why. I had noticed MTBE was taken off pumps but I didn't think anything about it. I wish we had 93 here in AZ. When it's 115 with no humidity, you need higher octane. If I could run 93 I could also change the tune on my Audi and add a significant amount of power.

There's a version of the straight six that can be as short as a V or, at its extreme, a Boxer. It's called a slant six. And there used to be a hybrid sort from Volkswagen, with a 10 to 15 degree V and a single head they called a VR6. It balanced, burned, and flowed kinda like a straight six. A poor cousin's straightish six. But they could cram it in sideways. Thumbs up

I have 3 Saab 9-7x SUVs , two are Aeros ( TBSS ) and the other is a 4.2 inline 6. They are almost identical except for the engine, trans and gearing, other than that they have the same suspension and all. The Aeros have the LS2 V8 and I love them for their raw power and beast sound , but the 4.2 is so smooth and quiet on drives and trips that I actually like daily driving it more than the Aero. Plus it is so much easier to work on than the V8 version. Yes the engine is longer but only by an inch , but it is nowhere near as wide.

I have the 2021 turbo and as much as I love it, I'm already on my 3rd battery. I don't drive long distances as much anymore so the short trips also appear to be my issue. I was also recommended a battery tender to avoid this, but Mazda did cover the replacement batteries under warranty so that's a plus. My one and biggest complaint with this car coming from a Honda is the size of the gas tank. I'd rather pay more and visit the gas station less... getting 220 - 230 miles out of a full tank was a huge downgrade from my previous Accord giving me over 400 miles. Other than that I really love it, have had no other problems and I actually like that the infotainment isn't touch screen as it never freezes on me. Also, not many other brands have such a pretty red color, Mazda knocks it out the park with that color

Your battery is 3 Fold. 1-Part short trips pulling voltage out of a low battery = more heat internally which leads to issues. 2-You have no idea how long that battery or its creation. Note, the time frame and supply chain at the time of manufacture led to a number of electronics being garbage at all levels. 3. Where you live. I'm in a desert and batteries don't live long here. But on the other side if you live in places that freeze and also exceed 100F, (37~38C,) you will notice batter life goes out the window fast. - Especially if you compound issues 1 and 2 into this equation.
