I hear a rattling right at 2000 rpm. It’s fine idling and it either goes away or greatly reduces above 2500 let’s say. The guy at azo said it was likely the spark plugs. Just wondering if you had an opinion. Thank you!
Thanks for posting this, it helped me out just now. Surprised to see how many parts needed to be removed just to access the plugs. There was some oil pooled up in the plug holes before taking the old plugs out - maybe a new valve cover gasket is needed too?
if you have not already you should do the valve cover gasket if there is oil in the spark plugs. The oil can cause a misfire condition if not corrected.

very helpful video. I recently had a p0430 code on a 2006 Lexus GS 300 so replaced the downstream sensor and catalytic converter. I am now getting now getting P2195, P0300, P0301 and PO303 codes. Should I replace the plugs, plug wires and coils or pursue some other avenue? Thank you!
I can’t seem to remove my abs sensor attached to the back of the rotor on driver side, how can I get it out if it already has the lug nut off but it won’t move
It may be seized inside the hole. Try spraying wd-40 round the area. Let it sit and wiggle it little by little. Be careful as it can break off if you are not careful.
Hey so I did spark plugs on the same car and I put everything back together and I started it 2 times and then it died, and then I saw tht I didn’t follow the pattern for the coils so I disconnected them and put them in the right order and still it won’t start, any idea as to way this happened??? Thank you

@@con_Auto i bought it in July 2019 , 250k miles on it. Gs300 year 2000 , American specs. Everything went fine for 2 months , then one morning when i was going to office , i started the car to see check engine and VSC ON & Off lights were on. Car wasn't getting any accelator power. I left the car in parking. Came back in evening to see lights were on but now car was running fine. I took it to mechanic. he ran computer test and got codes 1120 & 1121. He said i had to change thrortle body. I did change complete but problem came back again after 10 days. Took it other mechanic after removing codes using obd2 scanner. He can't figure out the problem even after detail electrical testing of car. Car doesn't run smooth anymore. I get laggy acceleration and after signal stop i really have to wait 5-10 secs to get decent acceleration. Codes appear sometimes (1121&1120) related to TPS and APPS , but i know changing them is not solution. Any suggestion
Check the throttle position sensor. Should be located on the throttle body. Was it replaced With new one? Or was it transferred over? Also check the connector to the sensor.
Rare metal tipped spark plugs should not have their gap checked. Checking the gap on an iridium plug with shave off some of the coating causing premature spark plug wear

Clean the oil out of that valley before taking the plugs out. Change the valve cover gaskets while your in there as well.

hey what's the spark plug socket size? based off the OEM Denso 3353 info, it's a 16mm. Can you confirm? Thanks.
I believe I used a 5/8 spark plug socket.

See if the coils are still providing spark still. If not then check fuse for ignition
Ive done all these steps an my throttle housing still isnt coming out? Is their any secret bolt some where or something
Double check for another bolt and then you may have to lightly pry as there is a gasket there
Having a problem with my GS300 gas pedal has to be pushed all the way to the floor and has no power. What is the cause of this help please.
Could be the sensor of the pedal or the pedal itself is messed up,mines has the same problem I bought a new pedal and sensor for 45$

You can if you want to. I usually only use anti seize in American and German automobiles

There are 3 coil packs 1 for every 2 cylinders. I would try to get demos as that is the factory manufacturer.
Get oem if you can afford them. After market packs might last 25k miles🐦⬛

I usually use iridium or platinum they last 100k miles

Try swapping the coils into a different position on the engine. If the misfire stays on #3 than it maybe fuel injector leaking. Let me know

Most likely I put iridium spark plugs try rock auto. Honestly I don’t remember a power difference but that was almost 2 years ago!

You may have a bad coil check if 2 and 6 share the same coil. If not then I suggest pulling the spark plugs out and checking their condition

The misfire can damage your catalytic converters. So don’t drive it for long

It has 2 locations on the transmission. 1 near the front and rear of the trans on driver side.

Check accelerator pedal position sensor. Same thing check the wires and connectors
