In the CEO World magazine out of 195 countries, Greece came 35th out of 195 with 89.44% Human Progress Indicator. This is the best quality of life, political stability, life expectancy, education level, gross income per person.. Work - life satisfaction etc.
I`m a greek woman who lives in Germany. I will move back to Greece at the end of the year. I like very much your videos. I think someone who doesn`t like the country in where he is living than he should move away.No one force us to live somewhere where we don`t like. So easy. Have a nice time. Nafplio is a very beatuful place to live.
After 9 years in Denmark, having done everything a person can do (education, work, family, changing housing, changing works etc.) I can assure you that Greece is comparable to Denmark in many aspects. Especially, when it comes to doctors, Greece is famous for its medicine and doctors, no matter the problems of the healthcare system. People make the systems and we have some of the best doctors and in vast numbers!
Moving from Northern Europe for 25 years ago, I have seen ups and downs. But I haven’t regrettet my move one bit. My life has been fine here and certainly different from it would have been.
Greece isn't even close in the poorest countries in the world. Also, Greece is in top 10 of the friendliest countries in the world, the last years! And in the top countries for digital nomads, pensioners and #8 in the world in millionaire migration!
Hey Daniel, been watching your videos for a while now and I feel that this one's by far the best one you've made, even though it's hard to choose a favorite. I hope to join you one day, if not physically at least in spirit. Keep up the great work & ignore the Haters because their attitude is toxic
good evening from hong kong.... your wife and you are the exception......a big bravo sas. i missed the sandal cobber's "concert" a couple weeks back, we would have met. SO, greece has a portion of its residents that are lacking acceptable social norms therefore, i understand the negative comments of some of your viewers. we are proud our our greek heritage.....from kiveri and koutsopodi.....and nafplion..... the solution is for you , daniel, to keep up promoting nafplio......keep it going, it is indeed a struggle for you at times......but your impact shall reap positive returns. (say hello to bakaliko owner Panayiotis...'i am the one left a small beverage in his cooler for he and you to enjoy) cheers, andreas karras
Pescador daniel! I'm all in for it!. Would you consider doing a weekend market video where you just go and purchase goods/produce from the different vendors.
Number 1 issue.... We have olive harvest but no one 20 to 40 will come help... To pick olives. There are lots of smaller seasonal jobs... But when aroggance is high... The frappe and benefits are great 🤮 There are fisheries, fruit factories, etc in the area.
In order for you to understand the Greek mentality, I'll give you some thoughts of mine after living in this beautiful country for almost my entire life (born in Germany), firstly, Greeks have Eastern European mentality, in their culture is to complain about everything, so if you have that kind of mentality we come to the second of my observations when a Greek says this is the worst country in the world means "is the worst country from the rich countries rank in the world", I hope you got my explanation, they don't even think that they exist countries like those appeared at the begging of your video.
Look at those beautiful autumn colours on the trees!! Hilarious the woman turned up with cat food as you've mentioned her a lot before....a snapshot of Greek life in time. I know you don't like politics but i want to say these rankings of countries are for me typically out of a very capitalist way of thinking. For example, Calgary in canada is consistently ranked one of the best cities in Canada. However you go there, and you see the crime, addiction, homelessness, road rage, garbage. These rankings reflect what the editor thinks are good measurements. I would prefer quality of life to be measured by overall reported happiness of individuals. This way we could see what are the best places to live in. Money does not mean happiness. If you have community, a sense of overall security, time outdoors, these are for me quality of life. That is to say, quality of life is subjective. I don't need a list created by some capitalist somewhere to tell me what i need. It seems you are of a similar opinion! Μπράβο σου όπως πάντα κι ευχαριστώ φίλε μου!
Based to power of money Greece is around the 56th place, so there is definetely room from improvement but 56th position is hardly the worst is the world.
My daughter a NY native lives in Greece since 2017 & she's doing just fine with her family. Been your subscriber practically from day 1. Was born in Colombian, living in NY from my teens. Making such negative comments to you & comparisons between countries, obviously have not seen the world much. There's poverty everywhere. Portraying pictures of the poorest areas of Colombia (a mirror of many countries) as an example, think is not right. Colombia with all respect, is not Haiti. There are many expats in Medellin than any other countries in the region. You can live in Colombia. Is a beautiful country too. But of course, I do not agree with the comment of your subscriber about Greece. I have been traveling there practically every year since 2015. Love Greece & without a blink can make it into my future home. Stay in a suburban neighborhood of Athens, I see the country from another aspect, not as a tourist. Beats me a to why this person will say something like that. It is so important to step out of your cocoon before you make that statement.
"After World War II, Greece went through a tragic civil war, resulting in even more casualties than the global conflict itself, during which we fought against the Italians, Germans, Bulgarians, and Albanians. While Europe began to rebuild and prosper after the war, Greece was torn apart by this internal struggle. The civil war was fueled by the left, who sought to transform Greece into a communist country. The defeat of this movement has lingered in the minds of the left, and many believe that the right is responsible for Greece’s economic challenges today, arguing that a communist system might have led to a better outcome. The left at that time was still somewhat patriotic, yet over the years, it has turned into a broader resentment toward Greece's political system. This shift has extended to things that once were cherished, like the natural beauty and rich history of Greece. Now, it seems there is disdain toward nearly everything about the country. Thus, when someone speaks positively about Greece, leftists often attempt to deconstruct it, emphasizing the nation’s struggles and attributing them to the right-wing dominance after their loss in the civil war."
I watch your video's and i see you are trying to send a really positive massage to Greek people. I live in Uk with my greek wife and ours daughter don't get me wrong in Uk is good because you have a lot of jobs opportunities and more free time with your family but believe that free time you will spend it in the house 🏠 the weather make you feel like you don't want to do anything.for the last 2 weeks we don't know if the Sun exists anymore.so because of that we decided to return to Greece.
I mean, I live in Finland, and I am an expat, so I can agree with it being one of the worst countries for the aforementioned reasons. I still don't think it was as bad as Romania, though. People are social and you can potentially integrate a lot easier there, but there is something menacing about them. I saw Poland listed for reasons of language, and I think that's just stupid and a very superficial assessment. I did live there for nearly 4 years and it has a beautiful culture and people, maybe very similar to Greece/Italy, but with better job prospects.
'For sure, Greece is good if you don't need to work here and you have some independent source of income. Big cities are a disaster for every point of view, if you are not a tourist. If you are not retired, like me, thing twice before taking the decision to move here...Can be a trap.
That's so inaccurate! I work at a Greek company and the salary is really good. But again I have a few University degrees...If you're an unskilled worker, yes, you're having a very hard time.

Anyone living in Greece want to swap and live in the UK. I’d give you 6 months before you’d be crying to return 😭
Ain’t that the truth my friend. And I do love the UK very very much!!!! The life in a Mediterranean country just hits different.
I watch your video's and i see you are trying to send a really positive massage to Greek people. Greek favelas are Perama and Maniatika in piraeus, Mykoniatika in acropolis is also but it is too cute to be a slum
I think you mean Anafiotika below the Acropolis.

Come to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh.

Maybe the Greeks are gaslighting everyone, as they don't want everyone moving there, only to visit during peak season, lol.⚱🎻🧿😎👍
true 😅
