      Peter! I love your videos man but you piss me off! You're driving thru the beverly hills of Zurich but you have the camera pointed at your faces the whole damn time. You both have mics on so we can hear what you're saying without having to watch you say it. I want to see Zurich, not a couple of guys talking about it. I want to see what you're seeing. Get it?

    I f'en love Switzerland and would live there if I could afford it, been 3 times and based in Basel but spend time in the mountains as my wife's brother married a Swiss lady and their family owns a cabin in the mountains so lucky, also spend a new years break in Grindelwald, best New Years I have had. We have just as nice mountains in New Zealand but the Swiss alps it is like a fairytale, it really is with old log cabins sprinkled around and going above these villages looking down at night you literally think you are in a fairytale. Just everything about Switzerland seem right.

    In 2022, the opening of a Toblerone factory in Bratislava, Slovakia, was announced for 2023. The opening of this factory lead to the removal of symbols related to Switzerland (the Matterhorn, among others) from Toblerone packaging.

    • @The12th_
      @The12th_ 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +5

      But… the factory in Switzerland (Brünnen, Bern) didn‘t close. You actually often can smell it in the area, when they are processing the cacao. They just expanded and won‘t guarantee that you would always get the chocolate from the Swiss factory.
      The Matterhorn on the product looked much better than the new design.

    That is so true in my experience as well! 33:28. I bought some Haribo Gummy Bears in Europe last year and was so surprised how much better and juicier they tasted than our US ones! Took a few packs home with me, compared the ingredients list and was shocked with how much crap we substitute from the original recipe. We use so much food dye and fructose corn syrup. 🤮The one from Europe actually had real fruit juices in theirs!!🍓🍊🍍

      Interesting.. The amount of additives in our foods that purposely cause us illnesses is criminal-

    • @elizabethcarrington5819
      @elizabethcarrington5819 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      High fructose corn syrup is added because lobbyists wanted to use every bit of of the corn they’re growing for ethanol fermentation could be used . It’s basically replacing sucrose with fructose, a different sugar . It’s literally in EVERYTHING. Color enhancers are used here because lobbyists get their senators and represent in congress to block these food additives. One example is sodium nitrate which gets converted to carcinogens in the bowel or by certain cooking methods like smoking or charring. It’s directly link to colon, bladder, and pancreatic cancers.

    Switzerland has it together, because the protect their borders. If you want to move to Switzerland, you have to prove to them that you have something that benefits the country, like skills, money. Not just anyone gets in. Thats why.

    What your guide said about people wanting to live and raise their families. I think that's universal also. The biggest problems I see are caused by competing governments trying exert their power.

    I am American and have lived in Germany for over 42 years.

    Very good thoughts in 10 minute mark. Same thing here in my country Finland. People move here and don't want to learn our culture or language or anything, they just push their own agendas and demand, that we Finns would just obey them and that we should do things how they want. It's not like that or ever should be. If you move to a another country and want to live there, then you need to learn how their country works and how people behave and you need to fit yourself into it. It is so annoying when for example I speak about this topic I get right away called racist or something and it is nothing to with being racist, it is just facts and how things work.

      But that will never happen when you let tens of thousands or tens of millions( that no one knows WHO they actually are or why they are fleeing ) in all at once . They will find THEIR tribe and stick to themselves and not simulate . Then make demands for you to change ! Our leaders fail us at this simple concept.

      This is a big problem here in America. The political party in charge, threw open the borders even to the point of flying in loads of illegal aliens (to artificially lower the "walked across the southern border " statistic to look better)
      and setting them up in nice to luxury hotels, free meals, clothes, cell phones, spending money...in some places more than retired or disabled who have worked and paid into the fund for 40 years can get. All to push through as soon as the numbers get high enough, amnesty to try to establish a permanent voting base to retain power. Yet if you speak out, you are branded, as racist, exist, homophones or other terms that have been so over used they have almost lost their zing and maybe this will allow more public discourse and an attempt to fix things. We have one candidate who says they want to fix it, but next breath says they can't think of a thing they would do different that the current methods.
      The other says it's time to get active, shut down illegal immigration, deport those who have broken our laws, refuse to support them if they get in. Then once that gets done and our citizens get first priority, then turn to LEGAL immigration reforms to maybe ease the long wait times for those wanting to become citizens and assimilate into America.

    As someone who lives close to Zurich it was nice to see that you also showed a little bit of the countryside of the Canton of Zurich. I wish you met another (maybe younger) swiss person, as the conversation with Michael was very political for quite some time. Another person could've given some more insights into the culture, as the younger generation is very different to older people.
