Nice work Keenan, you hit all the technical facts without getting into the discussion of club builder/fitter preferences.

A lot of info but explained very well. Thx.

Okay, so just to be clear, if you purchase a set of clubs that say come with DG95's in parallel, by the time you get down to PW or AW, those clubs will be like 5 or 6 grams lighter then the long irons? and with tapper shafts the weight will keep at roughly 95g?

Hi. I read online rather conflicting comments on BBGM (bottom of bore to ground measurement) effect on shaft stiffness and profile, would greatly appreciate it if you can shed some light on this topic. 🙏🏻

Is this true for graphite shafts or does this only apply to steel shafts?

Does this mean an AMT White pitching wedge shaft weighs 130 grams while a parallel tip DG X100 weighs around 115 grams after trimming? (hope I calculated that right). If so that is a massive difference!

So what the benefits between taper & parallel? Like game play

Keenan got a few demo irons from Sub 70 with parallel S300's and the flight was much lower and the feel was more "board like" ... is that an attribute of the parallel shafts ??

Should be the other way round with DG's, parallel should play a little softer than tapers with standard tipping.

Not all parallel tip shafts are made as a single length blank. Discrete length (const weight) shafts can also come in parallel tip - just look at your own PX line of shafts.

There are no current shafts in our PX line or any of our lines that are discrete length, constant weight and parallel.

@@TrueTemperGolf I didn't say current. Nippon is the other company that has (and is still) doing descrete length parallel shafts. There have been plenty of other examples from the past.

@@stuartgillespie9235 There are examples from the past for sure. There are none currently for us, though, and no plans for any in the future. As far as other shaft companies, we are speaking in relation to our products on our channel.

What do you recommend for one length iron?
    Mine has a universal hosel.
I've been told get all parallel shafts then butt&tip trim all of them to 7iron length.
But companys like Cobra used taper tips shafts for all their one length irons. They only butt trim all shafts to 7 ironlength.

Think you shaft oems, need to petition iron oems, to standardize universal hosels. .370's are my favorites.
