What an amazing difference a real PT makes. I thought I knew my body but I felt muscles that I never knew I had. Also I definitely noticed that one side of my body is tighter than the other. Thank you so much for these. I want to try and repeat doing this video many times so I can make these exercises routine and do them often.
I will start incorporating these exercises every morning, however, I mostly do Pilates, and Joseph Pilates says that inhaling on the exertion creates the most oxygen available to the cells so I don’t subscribe to the exhaling upon exertion method. I find this works best for me and I would encourage anyone to try that method as well. Thank you for this insight to morning stretches.

I have been reading The Back Mechanic by Dr Stewart McGill and he specifically discourages this for people with back pain (pg.111). He states pulling knee to chest should ‘be the first thing to go’. Just confused about the whys of your recommendation
For Stretch 4 you clearly bring your forearms away from doorframe….. As you step/move forward to do the stretch, are your hands still touching the frame ?, & if so are you putting any pressure through them? TIA

I just found neck stretching video and as I followed along I felt a lot of pulling down from my shoulder along the inside of my arm thru my inner wrist to palm and fingers. After a good length of time it is uncomfortable. Am I not doing the stretches correctly? Are there other stretches to do for this issue or is this just a part of stretching the neck?
