Let Down is a masterpiece.
Ok, Computer is a masterpiece tbh
it is big time
I know there will be different opinions, but this is their best song... So far.
@@JesseLunaTech yeah for my GenX friends, back in the 90s, for all that Karma Police & Airbag & Paranoid Android are nearly flawless, this was the song (1/2 way thru the album) that defined Ok, Computer.
@@JesseLunaTech I don't agree that much, but this is valid
love when an instructor has tremendous taste in modern music
You mean
Tremendous taste in depression?
Stalin Chan basically lol
@@hbomb6421 asi es radiohead---o the same..this is radiohead
so good, its good to much- ok computer and the bends above
@@hbomb6421 Wait until you get older and lose someone their music really hits you.
Hats off to the pianist. For such a supposedly simple melody takes a lot of concentration to keep focused on the 5/4 time while the choir is in 4/4. Spectacular
YES!
Can you ELI5 what that means?
@@JonathanDufour-g1u The pianist is playing a part in 5/4 time (counting 5 beats per measure), while the choir is singing in 4/4 time (counting 4 beats per measure). They slowly misalign, since after one full cycle of both, the pianist will be starting their next cycle on beat 1 of their 5, while the choir is starting on beat 1 of their 4.
@@george1717 I get it, thank you. Is this intended in the original song?
@@JonathanDufour-g1u Radiohead regularly work with unusual time signatures. I recommend listening to Pyramid Song from the album Amnesiac
Radiohead will go down in history as one of the greatest to ever create music.
Not just music just with any entertainment or media
Yes they will
Much love
With OK COMPUTER being their magnum opus.
@@MakerInMotion Kid A, Ok Computer & In Rainbows.
Multiple opuses. They deserve it.
correct!
How can a song be so tinged with hope yet full of existential despair?
There's something during the build up of the third verse that always gets me. And this version made it even more dramatic, hard to keep the tears away :)
Chadner totally agree with you!
Yes there is something about that build up to the last verse...maybe its the urgency in Thoms voice, but they do capture it here as well.
it is simply unique, that build to to the third verse, choir or studio.....genius
That part was happening right as I read your comment. Goosebumps
had me sobbing 😂
*Stands up and enthusiastically applauds
exactly
Shia LaBeouf meme
My favorite song of alltime. Can you imagine Thom Yorke just stumbling upon this? What a compliment.
I think he’d give an embarrassed laugh hearing these lyrics sung like this. Not because they’re not great you understand
He would love this.
Well he stole it so it probably is an over played explanation.
I was in choir all of elementary, middle, and high school. I unfortunately became chronically ill and had to drop out. Whenever I see adult choirs like this it brings me so much hope that there will be a chance for me to sing again after I complete my treatment. This was so beautiful, thank you.
We’re rooting for you!
You'll do it man, no matter what
You got this man! 💪 ❤
I can barely ever hear this song without crying - this version is no exception
Ben Boyce sent me
3:19 starts absolute audio bliss.
That was the moment when I cried
Let Down underrated
We say in unison
This is beautiful and brought me to tears. Haven't cried in a long time. Thank you
I close my eyes and it feels like those voices come from my deepest heart. Thank you
merasuk ya broo huhu
A very underrated song
4:32 i'm the guy in the front wiping his tears
Bless your heart
Nice shit kid
If you ain't cried to let down you're a bot
I can’t imagine how it must feel to be part of something so beutiful
at first I looked at the comment saying "it brought me tears" I was like " what the hell is she talking about", then I Listened till the end and didn't realize I had teary eyes myself
it's a beautiful feeling
Same here
This choir is so incredible. They really captured the emotions of the song well. This song reminds me even if it gets difficult in life, there’s still hope.
Not only such kind and lovely words, but you nailed the exact feeling we were going for!
3:45 gave me literal chills
This video deserves more views
Michael Samayoa give it time
Radiohead has marked a before and after in the history of music... Beautiful tribute!
The true test of any great song is how versatile it is. This passed with flying colours.
Absolutley beautiful, Radiohead would be very happy if they saw this.
I love randomly coming across a video and being totally blown away.
The majestic beauty of this masterpiece of a song still shines through in this moving choir version. It's hard to listen to Let Down sometimes because it keeps giving me goosebumps and a tear in my eye still after all these years since it was released. Ok Computer remains my all time favorite album and Exit Music + Let Down the peak moment on that album. If I had to pick one song from all the Radiohead masterpieces, Let Down would be the one.
The balance of the voices is really impressive. Beautifully done
In my mind I imagine this the future and this is being done in tribute to Thom when his days are over and i’m literally in floods of tears. We don’t know what we have until it’s gone and Radiohead will be known as the greatest band of all time in 100 years time.
The true power of this song is in the vocal harmonies Thom and Co. created on the original recording. Made all the more powerful here.
Beautifully arranged, directed, and performed. Cheers to these musicians.
this made me cry. you guys are incredible!! Let Down is like my personal song, thank you so much.
Not sure if it’s possible but would love to hear the choir sing “How to disappear completely”.
chills.. literal chills, all over..
so deserving of all the applause at the end
Greatest song from the greatest album EVER
Amongst the radiohead fan base this is in all time favourite . Hard to envisage that it nearly didn’t make the album cut
Heard this songs hundreds of times. We know what’s gonna happen and still can’t stop getting emotional 😢
This needs ONE MILLION VIEWS!!!!
What a true masterpiece.
Singing in a choir maybe the best experience you can have, theres is a unique sound you can only get in church
Beautiful rendition of one, if not the most underrated Radiohead songs.
Goosebumps from the beginning to the end. Thanks, really.
Waiting to here the last verse. This sounds like the crowd when I was at their concert. top three fav bands
This is so beautiful! Gave me chills multiple times
This song really hits the cord of me every time i hear it and this choir nail it!
Something about an ensemble of about 80 people singing this song really hits different. Something about the lyrics talking about being "let down" about an idealistic expectation of life sung by a collective is... hopeful? A confirmation that even if we shout into the void, ours isn't the only voice?
Magical stuff.
lyrics
Transport
Motorways and tramlines
Starting and then stopping
Taking off and landing
The emptiest of feelings
Disappointed people
Clinging onto bottles
And when it comes it's so so disappointing
Let down and hanging around
Crushed like a bug in the ground
Let down and hanging around
Shell smashed, juices flowing
Wings twitch legs are going
Don't get sentimental
It always ends up drivel
One day I am gonna grow wings
A chemical reaction
Hysterical and useless
Hysterical and
Let down and hanging around
Crushed like a bug in the ground
Let down and hanging around
Let down and hanging
Let down
Let down
You know, you know where you are with
You know where you are with
Floor collapsing, floating
Bouncing back and
One day I am gonna grow wings
A chemical reaction
(You know where you are)
Hysterical and useless
(You know where you are)
Hysterical and
(You know where you are)
Let down and hanging around
Crushed like a bug in the ground
Let down and hanging around
It's beautiful to see all these people from different walks of life, each of them probably having a completely different image in their heads when singing this song, all of them sharing in the feeling
Absolutely stunning; brought me to tears. The choir really brings out the human emotion in the song.
Superb = what a great choice. I'd never have thought it could work so well as a choir piece
My favourite song done in a way I never would have expected. Absolutely love this.
The beautiful ending full of emptiness
I really like the the slow, deliberate build in intensity toward the end.
Fave Radiohead song done justice. Great job all...
Oh my God, i love this version !!!
Fantastic, thank you to all in the choir.
Something about hearing this song in different mediums and styles that reveals how much of a masterpiece it is. Well done.
wow the part of the guitar solo is beatiful
Love it when you see some off the choir wiping tears from there eyes, at the end, a truly great song that will never lose its magic from the 1st time you hear it to the millionth
How did they managed to sing this without breaking into tears is beyond me
There were definitely tears!!
Tugs wonderfully at the heart strings as it should. Love it
This is more that my heart can handle
Goosebumps I covered this on guitar at home on my own and totally forgot about it. Great song I miss choir so much
Heart touching, heart warming performance
Beautiful arrangement i never tired watching this choir so great
This is excellent and I always like it when someone chooses my favourite Radiohead song to. Interpret.

My favorite song of all time and this is breathtaking. Beautiful.
This is when a haunted mysterious house creates a masterpiece of an art
One of the best songs ever written.
Wow. Nothing more to say. Got super emotional hearing this take on a beautiful song.
The song that introduced me to Radiohead. The year Ok Computer was released; I was at work that summer, and this song came on. It stopped me on my tracks.

Why did they change the line 'Disappointed people, clinging on to God' into 'clinging on to bottles'?
@@Vasharan Because that's the right line
Thanks so much for the lyrics. I could join the choir thanks to it and enjoyed it a lot with a bit of tears. I think I have missed people. It is so beautiful thing to be able to sing with people.
