- The 2024 Ridgeline strikes a balance between ruggedness and refinement, with the new TrailSport trim having some real off-road chops that can tackle tougher terrain.
It’s the perfect combination of comfort and adventure.

Honda could sell a ton of Ridgelines if they would have a base model that’s more affordable for the average person! I would buy one tomorrow if it was priced right!
To bad they didn't update there infotainment system to the Bose sound system that's in the Accord and Civic.
Not the redesign I was hoping for.
It's not a "redesign" at all. It's a late cycle refresh, but it's actually a great refresh, especially for the black edition trim, which gets a lot of new features for not a lot more money.
IMO, A cam belt, interference valve activation cylinder deactivation mode and direct injection are a issue. I love the truck otherwise and while the neat features are great, they don't offset the concerns.
About Damn Time for the upgrade, Because of the addition of Ventilated seats I will be ordering a Black Edition soon, Looked at every mid-size but needed ventilated seats due to living in South Ga Thanks Honda for this updated Ridgeline.
@chiefman8316: Where did you see/hear about the addition of the Ventilated seats? I've been watching, searching and driving myself almost crazy looking for confirmation of this option. I have a 2021 Honda Passport Elite AWD and LOVE the heated/ventilated front seats and the heated rear seats.
Great truck for the city. I’ve owned 3 of them and it does what I need it to do. A leaky strut was the only issue I had with any of them. Not enough of an update to change my 2022.
Why would you need to buy 3 of them? I though they were supposed to last.
@@formula1fancolorado632some people like having the new model when they change. Seems obvious tbh
Not copying the Pilot Trailsport 265 tires and 1" lift was an unfortunate mistake.
I drive a 2000 something Honda product. I have to admit. It’s reliable and has a SOUL. Something most Toyota’s do not have!
Breaking news: we have power folding mirrors!!! What a revelation!!!
This 3.5 engine. Damn it’s fabulous! In a Honda, Acura or Saturn!
I have a 2022 Ridgeline RTL-E with less than 20k miles on it. I bought it new in March 2022. This past summer, I hit a piece of a semi’s truck tire tread on the highway when I could not change lanes or quickly stop due to heavy traffic. The tire scrap - not even a whole tire, rim, or anything close to it - bounced under my Ridgeline several times. I had to replace the driveshaft (“propeller shaft” according to Honda), all of the towing wiring and connectors (I was not towing at the time), and several other miscellaneous things under the Ridgeline also had to be fixed. A couple of more inches of ground clearance and true underbody protection like so many Ridgeline competitors have would have been incredibly welcomed and probably would have minimized all of the damage. To add insult to injury, some of the Honda parts were out of stock for weeks and I was without my primary vehicle for a while. The Ridgeline is an excellent riding “truck” and I love that characteristic. Unfortunately it is not very tough compared to the Tacoma or F-150 I had.
That was quite illuminating
Road debris sucks. But this could have happened to any vehicle. Good thing you weren't in a Smart car..
Road debris like that messes up 18 wheelers and bigger trucks too.
Honda, I’m a fan, but you dropped the ball! The Trailsport trims need 3 inches more ground clearance. This detail made me buy a Tacoma Trd Off-road and my wife a Subaru Outback XT. You guys make awesome Atvs & Utvs with independent suspension AND high ground clearance. Why doesn’t the Ridgeline or any of your SUVs have it? 🙄
Because people drive these on the road, city, and highway, not into the forest
@@mravocadoman2904 Well, I sometimes drive into the forest on rough dirt & gravel roads 😁
That's a good point 🤔
I’m thinking of trading in my 22 Tacoma but my big concern is that I need a low range trans because I live in the mountains with ice and snow. Does anyone know if the 24 Trailsport is able to really gear down for those icy decents when you can’t touch the brakes?
@@MickeyJanowski You can put it in "SPORT" mode and use the paddle shifters on the steering wheel to keep it in whatever gear you'd like. I have a 2021 Passport and use this feature when towing a trailer.
Any new interior color options other than black?
Stamped tailgate……yes…. Great update!!!!! Now it’s more capable and modern. A few dents in the tailgate and upgraded tires. Wow so much is new😂.
I'd like to see a pickup truck based on the Acura MDX. A nice, sleek street truck.
Hello Honda
On the website for the trailsport it says on some areas that it comes with the 540 watt 8 speaker and on the comparison list it states 7 speaker 200 watts. Which is correct for this model?
There is a base audio and a premium audio. I think premium audio is for RTL-E and Black editions.
@wydopnthrtl that is correct, but remember.... the Trailsport is replacing the RTL-E, so if Honda did it right, all of the RTL-E features should be carried over to the new Trailsport. 😉🤞
2022 love it..
I like the old style better like the bed gives a better look
Has the infotainment system and automatic headlights been fixed with this years model?
What was wrong with the previous infotainment system?
It’s old
@@e5m956beyond dated looking
Hope this doesn’t mean we get 2 more years of this. Where’s the new model? Tacoma and others made their move
I noticed, it doesn’t have a 360 camera. Or I didn’t notice it.
If the Ridgeline had the interior of the CRV, I’d be at the dealership.
the link to the 2024 Ridgeline comes up: 404-file not found.
MPG? Can you fit a 6’ 2” person in the back seat?
Easily can fit 2 6 ft ppl
Actually speaking they upped the h.p. to 285..not much but every little bit helps
I prefer the previous sliding center counsel storage box.
Terbaik Honda
Why would this not get the 360 and trail cams that the pilot got??!!
Should be lifted for offroad.
Why the music running in the background I don’t get it
they didnt put the pilot engine in it ???
Or both damm it
Anyone here what the 25 model year will bring ? Ty
Honda should have made a hybrid engine for the Ridgeline. Most Ridgeline owners do not drive the vehicle off road! I bought mine for the smooth driving experience.
Cool
"and the list goes on" but actually that's the end of the list lol
Slovakia need RIDGELINE !!! 😥
Trailsport has piqued my interest. Love that I can fit 3 car seats in the back for the little ones.
Come on Honda when is this V6 timing belt engine is going to get retired?
When an engine is solid and has relatively few problems... why change?
The new 9sp trans give us more TQ put to the ground where we need it.
The timing belt is smoother and quieter than an old school chain design and it is made of very strong material. Yeah it should be changed at 100K but thats worth it in my opinion. The V6 is soooooo smooth.
When is this coming to Australia to compete whit the Hilux!
its rival is Santa Cruz
It's rival the ford raptor and Megatron
The Hilux would eat the Ridgeline alive, the Hilux is a legend and the Ridgeline is an overall comfortable "truck", the only thing I find lacking is the ride height. I plan on lifting mine once it's fully paid off.
Make it a hybrid
More and more unibody trucks are coming out. Why?? Becuase they're actually not that bad! If Toyota comes out with one...That means Honda had it right the whole time.
I wish Ridgeline had a manual transmission.
Why?
Same here, I would buy one if they offered a manual transmission like Toyota in 2025-2026, if not then I will sadly have to switch brands.
The truck has been the same since they designed it 7 years ago
I had a 19 for three yrs. It's a solid truck. Getting a new 23 this week
Dosent every truck look the same
If it’s a successful unique design then stop complaining about it, stupid.
Crossover pick-up*
@@ducatikawasaki1290calm down it's not a personal attack on your manhood
I was seriously considering a 24' Ridgeline in hopes that they'd have a hybrid and more changes but the few changes they made aren't enough to pull me in. It still looks too feminine for a truck or whatever you want to call it.
What does this thing cost $60,000 USD ?!?
Enjoy making constant dealership-appointments to keep your transmission from crapping-out... drain-n-fill, drain-triple-flush-n-fill, drain-n-fill, etc.
These things are over-engineered on-the-cheap; they also have zero factory-warranty... but they DO have a warranty if you buy them at one their stealerships.
Doing away with the RTLE with chrome is a disappointment! There are many of us old school who prefer chrome over "Black"! I will not buy a blacked out truck but prefer top end trim with all the bells/whistles!
Same crappy 3.5 engine for 30 years getting 18mpg. While Toyota making 2.4 turbo hybrid 45mpg 350hp lasting 2-3x more reliable.
What I’m disappointed in for 2024 Ridgeline: Ugly non-TrailSport front double bar grille, 2023 CRV style steering wheel controls/instrument cluster with half display/digital speed/half physical speedometer (only looked good for my 2018 Accord Touring with HUD), eliminating truck bed audio AND STILL OFFERING MORE FEATURES TO THE CANADIAN MARKET with Passport style auto dimming side mirrors not included for US Black Editions. Honda literally builds both US and Canadian models in Lincoln Alabama so why not have equal features?! Trying to buy across boarder lines voids warranty and causes more taxes. BOO!
What I’m happy about for 2024 Ridgeline: Radiant Red Black Edition with ventilated front seats and surprisingly heated rear outboard seats, front center arm rest/console, bigger/faster/wireless center display, KEEPING THE PUSH BUTTON GEAR SELECTOR, KEEPING FOG LIGHTS and the stamped RIDGELINE tailgate is growing on me. Honda wouldn’t have invested in that stamping process if it wasn’t going to be on the 3rd generation for 2025 or heaven forbid 2026 haha
Honda sales division on a per country basis dictates what options go where.
Which IMO is dumb. Just imagine giving customers what they really want.... 😁
My 2023 RTL-E US edition has auto dimming side mirrors. If they traded auto dimming for power folding, I would much rather have auto dimming, they are a life saver at night.
@@gingasamuri I've had my 03 RTL-E for a week now. Next time I drive in the dark I'll look for them to darken.
@@wydopnthrtl They sync with the auto dimming rear view mirror, you’ll see them get a greenish frame around them when the rear view mirror activates.
I bought a 2022 rtle for 45k to muchh money for what you get the radio is so bad looks from 2010s everything looks from years ago the car is good but tooo expensive the sport should be around 35k rtl 36k rtle 38k the black edition and trailsport around 40k and 43k for 35k you can get a frontier s 4x4 with 4 doors
🥱
Ty review or the truck?
The review or the truck?
I can’t stand the electronic push button shifter
Needs diesel engine and bring it to Australia
no Japanese to present the car?
No MPG update... A Toyota Tundra hybrid gets better MPG then this. And for that price at least add a 360 camera. It's shows the brands disconnect with it's buyers.
Wow a hybrid gets better mpg than gas only, how can this be true 😂
Dealer lots are filling up with unsold new Tundras.
No V8 in a manual transmission?
Stealership GALORE
LOL yup... especially with all that manicured maintenance on their transmissions.
“If I say pickup truck enough times, they won’t notice that its a car with a box”
I also see they still haven't figured out how to put that back window on straight. Still looks stupid af slanted
Yeah, but it’s ugly. It’s ugly and it’s been ugly has nobody told them that thing is ugly.😅
You know, what’s not ugly, their amazing engineering. They run forever with little or no issues. Definitely not A Ford or a Chevy. Which have a a plethora of issues.
It’s not real truck. Plus I only see men over 70 driving them.
HEY! I’m 60 and a half…
@@epbrown01 ok..over 60.
@@DeepDishPizza Ha!
That is because Men over 70 have $$$ and Brains not to go jumping ditches or climbing rocks and damage a Great Truck !!
I guess you don't see everyone. Who would have thought
Still outdated
this wanna be truck is over rated
It seems to bother you enough to come here and comment on it lol seems pretty rated to me
@@BruceGinkel it doesn't bother me at all. Just stating my 2 cents, like anyone else here.
My guess is you have never owned or used one.
@@adamnagel7436 unibody hardly qualifies as a legitimate truck. It's a wide car with a bed attached to look like a truck. All truck enthusiasts understand that this is a very light duty vehicle with a V6.
@@DrunkenRhinocerosthe unibody is reinforced. It's a Sport Utility Truck (SUT). It's payload is significantly higher than same size Taco or Fronty, but tows less. Bed is 5" wider and 4" longer than other mid sized shirt beds (but shallower) and has in bed trunk.
Don't be gay, buy a real truck
It is a real truck.
@@e5m956 it's an suv
What does your “real new truck” have under the hood?
A little 4 cylinder turbo???
Ridgeline is more then capable enough for 90% of pickup buyers, haters must be lacking in other areas of there life 😂😂😂
@@rick8125 v6 frontier pro 4x.
@@user-vt9ss3ft2z You need to look at the dictionary because your personal idea doesn't align with reality because enclosed cab with an open bed is what defines a pickup truck. Not brand. Not frame. Not motor. Not ego. Enclosed cab and open bed is what classifies a vehicle as a pickup truck.
Think thay may have got the automatic high beams to work right on this 24 year model. my 2023 RTL E go on and off continuously and are dangerous after owning it over a year Honda still hasn't addressed the issue of resolving their headlight problem yet. I would make sure you drive it at night before you purchase a Ridgeline.🤔
Yeah, their auto headlights do not work well at all. The auto lights in my 22 Ridgeline do not always come on when I am the only vehicle on the road. And when they do, it seems they take too long to shut off when another driver comes along.
Looks like a lot of insufficient features for an expensive package. Great profit center for Honda.
Why didn’t you put the same instrument cluster that the civic sport touring has? Can’t be that much more expensive I mean, come on what the heck. Don’t be cheep..lol🛻
