Love seeing these, but what if you had a decent start but a terrible mid-game? Could that be more difficult because you lose tempo? Maybe something like a challenge like this with dramatic ages? But seriously, all of your challenges are very impressive and your storytelling is on point. Keep on civing.
Maybe you have to get dramatic dark age in medieval to industrial so that you have to do as well as you can in ancient and classical?
That's a great suggestion! I've thought about giving the AI additional bonuses in the mid game, but I do like the idea of a mod which reduces production, science, or whatever as you go along.

That would of made more sense, well, except for the ice part. My original idea was to say that the Abe has been cryogenically frozen all these years and is now back... for revenge.
idea: play with the buffs the AI gets on diety against prince difficulty AI. The caveat is that all the AIs are on the same team and have max level alliances with each other. I don't know how tricky that last part would be to make work, but the idea is that its like a horde mode

A lot of interesting and sometimes "surprising" cuts in this video. You are a master player of this game but here you had to have all the luck in the world to see a winning screen in the end.

If you never want to be ransacked by barbarian galleys over and over ever again (or just hate barbarian ships in general like I do) then you should check out the mod that I made called “no naval barbs”!

How about you do a challenge where you're not allowed to build any districts at all in your cities? (and if you capture any city not build any buildings in their districts).
Or if you want to go really crazy: an islands map where you're only allowed to settle on 1-tile-islands?

they’re actually coastal tiles. I was confused too and don’t know why they look like ocean tiles.

do you have a deity guide ? would love to see your strats as when i play deity specifically (unmodded) and have an army that will invade a weak city within the next turn the ai suddenly has units that are eras ahead and builds a wall in 2 turns defying all physics and logic
I do not. I do have some livestreams where I did some challenges where I go into more depth, like the surrounded 2.0 livestream. I do plan on doing some more livestreams in the future where I explain things in more detail.

I do, but discord is easier. I go over how to set spawn locations during my surrounded 2.0 livestream.
you need a game where you play as the barbs you can do that by using some dev tools that come with the game and reaload as the barbs

I've done so many challenges these days that they are all somewhat derivative. But I do try to get different victory conditions or try out different techniques in each one.
