For Mya I wonder if they could measure her cognitive ability with an MRI or scan of some type of her brain. I’d hate if she is trapped without anyone knowing her thought. Maybe knowing could help with introducing stimulation
I think she's getting great care and a lot of interaction. Someone was always reaching for her hand, touching her arm, holding her hand or brushing her hair back.
I was thinking the same thing. The way they also said they wouldn’t allow certain things. It would be a shame if she could communicate but was never taught. I think even then, after 30 years she would do some sort of speaking if she could, even if it was mimicry, or mimicking her family. The third girl and maya have similar features. So it would be crazy to see if it’s the same condition
That’s not really how it works. What she needs is speech therapy to help her use Augmented and Alternative Communication (AAC) to help her communicate in an alternative manner that works for her

Mapreet was such a happy man. Seems like they went steps further to be able to communicate with him and taught him sign language. I Love it beautiful family ✌️💜🙃🙏
This was a little frustrating to watch, seeing people without access to complex medical care and answers to their questions or diagnoses was heartbreaking, but those families! So much love. In Australia we have some of the best medical treatment in the world but we have a massive shortage of carers or home nurses for disabled people. You can just tell these young people will be lovingly cared for in their families for the rest of their lives. I’m not criticising our society or families who need help, saying maybe we need to support families in different ways.
Here in the US we’re having similar issues. As it is our healthcare system is beyond broken. Then add the director and nursing shortage on top of that. I’m a caregiver for kids with developmental disabilities. It’s my job to teach kids how to do everyday things like dishes, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping and such. But even in my job there’s staffing shortages. To me it’s sad that these services aren’t more readily available the world over.
The second girl seems depressed and unhappy because it's difficult for her to communicate. You could make a communication board with pictures of things like pictures of food one of water and one of napping start small and see if she can point at things she would want that's on the board. Add to it if she understands it is to help her communicate. My daughter is handicapped she can't see , talk or walk, she jestures if she wants something or don't want something and she loves music she gets very happy listening to music! It wouldn't hurt to try.
I 1000% agree with you. They also treat her like a baby. The third girl with the similar condition as Maya, he mom let her have some form of dignity where she can. It seemed Maya was trapped in her mind.
I agree. In many other places, particularly the more affluent countries, she would have gotten intervention as a child to help her to learn how to communicate. Even people with chromosome abnormalities and very low intelligence can be taught to use signs or symbols on a tablet, or at least a picture board, to ask for what they need. And their families can be taught how to teach them. I wish she had had the recommended surgery, but also, had had access like more wealthy people do to these educational and communication interventions. They adore her and would have surely implemented what they could.
@@gremlin7264 Right, I was thinking this too.. she doesn't seem happy and they're all just all around laugh and treating her like she's just a toddler, like mentally thats a grown woman whom most likely is tired of this treatment.
Having this type of condition must be so devastating to have. Imagine being a grown adult but never being able to have grown adult friends, having to have a family member carry you everywhere. God bless people with this condition ❤
The second family denied the child needed surgery and care because they “were afraid something bad would happen.” Something bad did happen. You left a child much more disabled than they would have been and seriously decreased her quality of life.
Their maulanas would have advised them not to go for the surgery. Even they have accepted that this is from Allah. These people tend to listen to others more rather than a doctors judgements 🙄
I agree but at a certain point you do just want to tell the doctors to stop cutting you open. If she had other surgeries before this or if it looked very painful and dangerous I can understand refusing
I think there is something more going on then just narrowing of the intestines that would cause this. We have to remember that some of these countries, the medical care is extremely poor, especially, 30 years ago (maybe would be better today). Also, these families may not have the finances to pay for surgery and hospital care. There are conditions out there that don't start until a person is a toddler.
Poor Maya. That’s not living, that’s existing. Thank God her family love her so much and will always be there for her. Mentally, she isn’t 30 but still a child, so being treated like a 3 yr old probably doesn’t phase her.
Advice: Just because of someone’s appearance that they’re small, it doesn’t mean you can treat them like children when they’re adults just because they’re in a child’s body. We treat them as adults. It’s just the condition they were born with.
Rather they have conditions or a real child they must be treated normal or adult. My 5 year old nephew speaks and act like an old man even reprimanded his mom like an old professor from Harvard. 😂
I wonder. The reason why I wonder is because, if they don't go through puberty, their brains are not mature like adult people's brains. They may not have the same prefrontal cortex development and thus the same level of judgement of an adult. They may be, then, psychologically and physiologically, like very advanced children, but I wonder if a person that has to keep the brain of a child is ready to be treated as an adult.
Imagine having to support and physically care for your child for the rest of your life 😢 I love my kids and I will ALWAYS be there for them but a part of me does look forward to the moment they can be independent and take care of themselves. God bless this woman
The first child would have turned out to be a beautiful loving indian woman. You could see her confidence and beauty in her eyes. It is good to stay positive and be thankful to be alive but sometimes it does hurt knowing that you will not get to live a normal life outside of your family. May she live to enough to be loved and cared for as long as possible as without it I cannot imagine.
Isn't there a doctor who is willing to look at the STRIKING similarities between the last 3 people??? It definitely appears they have the same illness!

Probably bizarre and annoying for those with a mental age of 18+ but I think it’s best for the people 18+ who are physically a child and mentally a child to just be seen as a child since it’s their mental level as well.
I looked up quick hairstyles for work, and youtube brought me here 😃....but since I'm here, I love how much the families love all of them and care so much for them.
I noticed some were from India, and I know a lot of ppl in that part of the world (India, Pakistan, etc.) marry their cousins, even their 1st cousins, and it tends to cause birth defects and developmental issues. So, I'm curious to know if any of the parents are related?
I dn't think so the first girls parents were related. Marriage between cousins is more common in Pakistan and Muslims of India. In India the muslims are little bit educated about this and refrain but I dunno about Pakistan. They still do it you can even watch a documentary of UK on this topic.

I found it disturbing that they recorded a couple of these women bathing. That would never happen to a full grown woman in a TH-cam video and certainly not a child so why is it ok to do it to women who look like children? They don’t deserve decency? I am sure that it’s a pretty terrible life to be exploited by everyone around you and treated like a baby when you are an adult. I like the videos on this channel but this one make me feel some type of way. Did this benefit these women at all?
Tlc loves to film people bathing, not just the little people. There is usually shower scenes in many of these kind of programs. I agree that it is often unnecessary and exploitative sometimes.
It's to showcase how they bathe and how it is so different from those of "normal" people, they do it on most of their shows that showcase people who are "born different" or are "odd" by societies standards.
i feel so horrible for these people bc i’ve seen a girl who has a condition like this and people dog her boyfriend bc she “looks like a little girl” when it reality shes just small you can tell she’s not 9 you can tell she’s an adult it’s just horrible
What if some of these adults minds have grown into adulthood but it’s trapped in this vessel it can’t control? That would be truly terrifying. I pray that’s not the case!
The last three adults have very similar looking features, I wonder if whatever is affecting them is something very similar or even the same. It’s so sad that they don’t have the appropriate medical technology to give a definitive diagnosis.
Are they some kind of dwarf or something? Proportional little people are midgets, short-limbed are dwarfs. Maybe if they could be brought to a more advanced country, UK, maybe, they could be diagnosed. I chose said advanced country because of their connection. I mean, India used to be part of the British Empire.
Or even trying to buy a house because people judge you assuming you’re lying about your age I feel sorry for them it’s like they’ve got to constantly prove themselves it’s got to be very annoying
What makes me sad is that there parents are old and will die sooner or later and God forbid when their parents die, who is going to take care of them. Maybe they'll be sent to some orphanage but they being mentally and physically kids would miss their parents soo soo much 😭
What the doctor says by way of medical explanation around the 8:37 mark is bizarre. Who gives this as the only other possible diagnosis and is professionally satisfied with herself? Possibly the weirdest thing I've heard all week-- and the bar is set high for weirdness in 2023. The wretched woman has had 30 years for her family to get her correctly diagnosed and THAT is what she's hearing in her 30th year?! Am I the only viewer who would find that entirely unacceptable? If she's the result of interfamily marriage, then I wish they'd just be clear about it and leave it at that.

3:04 I was wondering where I saw her because I do watch Indian Idol quite religiously, and she looked awfully familiar. I was thinking to myself while I was watching the whole entire episode. Where have I seen her? I hope I can find her social media platform on the description box of this video because she was a fantastic singer on Indian Idol, and I am finally happy that she’s getting the proper recognization she deserves part of the reason why I am such a fan of Indian idol is because they use their platform to promote conditions like hers. Quite a few years ago like in the early 2000s they had a young man who I don’t know about the whereabouts about him right now, but he had, some sort of retinal related blindness, some birth defect with his retina’s in his eyes and Indian idol, of course promoted him so he could not only share his beautiful voice with the rest of the world as she did, but also bring organization to her condition, hats off to her, and I hope she actually could possibly open a TH-cam channel. I feel like if she open the TH-cam channel her organization will just skyrocket even more just a suggestion because I feel like we need to bring even more recognization to her not just because of her medical condition but as a person, her personality seems so upbeat ❤❤
I wish a doctor from North America could run genetic tests and they would seek help from specialists .. And also.. All of their teeth are awful do they brush their teeth or is toothpaste not accessible there ? So sad
India is a very poverty stricken third world country, so many citizens there don't have much access to toiletries and hygiene products like we do in the west. I imagine toothpaste and upkeep on dental health would be a luxury for them.
@@killinglonliness88 I looked, the mother of the first young woman (the 19 year old) had great teeth-but the daughter's are particularly horrible. One reason she clocks as a 6 year old is missing those teeth in the front and side.

I looked up quick hairstyles for work, and youtube brought me here 😃....but since I'm here, I love how much the families love all of them and care so much for them.
that 19 year old so gorgeous, so got some beautiful genes
Awww.. Manpreet u look like a real life baby grinch but happier 💚
Manpreet's smile was the best lol very heartwarming 🤗
The good thing is that their family members absolutely adore them and takes care of them ❤
Maya just broke my heart. She looks so sad. I understand why, but to see it on her face broke my heart.
Omg the first girl is beyond beautiful and she has a great heart! ❤
Marpreet Parents Are Awesome Wholesome Loving 🥰 Caring Parents , May God Protect This Child Always
What I saw here, besides their conditions, is the unconditional loves from their families..
Maya, I hope your sadness goes away more than anything. 🙏❤️
That’s not far ❤
I noticed some were from India, and I know a lot of ppl in that part of the world (India, Pakistan, etc.) marry their cousins, even their 1st cousins, and it tends to cause birth defects and developmental issues. So, I'm curious to know if any of the parents are related?
I dn't think so the first girls parents were related. Marriage between cousins is more common in Pakistan and Muslims of India. In India the muslims are little bit educated about this and refrain but I dunno about Pakistan. They still do it you can even watch a documentary of UK on this topic.
My heart jumps for joy seeing these lovely small people being cared for and loved like they should be, blessings 🤗🙏💗 to all of them.
They are very lucky to have such loving family taking care of them🥲
Thats only on screen. You dont know whats happening off screen
The 19-year-old is so beautiful!😍🥰🤩✨💖🩷💅🏾💄💋
Doctors from abroad should take up these cases.... DNA sampling should be done...the course must be known... If it's genetic awareness should be made in the families.. it's sad being trapped in a body and you can't do anything.... Hope it's not sister brother having kids type of issues
Yeah! It is a little messed up and inappropriate!
Yeah idk why TLC always films people bathing. They do the same thing with everyone in "my 600 lb life" as well
@@nuntet7170 I’ve noticed this too and it’s weird since bathing is obviously a very private time.
It's to showcase how they bathe and how it is so different from those of "normal" people, they do it on most of their shows that showcase people who are "born different" or are "odd" by societies standards.
Manpreet is so precious ❤ as they all are..but he has such a sunny disposition
How wonderful each family is, they are blessed🕊️
Horrific to justify denying a human something to help them and instead leave them dependant on their surroundings.
i feel so horrible for these people bc i’ve seen a girl who has a condition like this and people dog her boyfriend bc she “looks like a little girl” when it reality shes just small you can tell she’s not 9 you can tell she’s an adult it’s just horrible
It’s a pedo’s heaven
Wow, it is so warming my heart to see the families still love and care for theses beautiful people. God Bless You all
Its nice to see thay have loving and caring parents and families.
What if some of these adults minds have grown into adulthood but it’s trapped in this vessel it can’t control? That would be truly terrifying. I pray that’s not the case!
That would be horrifying, having adult desires in a child's body
I think Maya is way smarter than it seems.
You can’t even hope for euthanasia 😢
I know most families are lovely, but I feel Maya’s family is super lovely
I'd love to see Aboli get a GoFundMe to purchase a motorized wheelchair! She needs a set of wheels ♡
Thank you ❤
The last three adults have very similar looking features, I wonder if whatever is affecting them is something very similar or even the same.
I mean, India used to be part of the British Empire.
aboli is such a beautiful young lady
Aboli, you look like a princess, and your precious smile brightens my heart.
Thank you ❤
Or even trying to buy a house because people judge you assuming you’re lying about your age I feel sorry for them it’s like they’ve got to constantly prove themselves it’s got to be very annoying
What makes me sad is that there parents are old and will die sooner or later and God forbid when their parents die, who is going to take care of them. Maybe they'll be sent to some orphanage but they being mentally and physically kids would miss their parents soo soo much 😭
Gods willing, they will be lucky enough to be overcome by their illnesses before their entire family
Aboli, is beautiful and so much LIFE on her voice.
Thank you ❤
Sooooo Manpreets dad needs to model for Vogue as well. I'm just sayin.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed! He is a very handsome man with beautiful skin!
I too have the same doubt
Maya looks like a boss babe tbh😁 those people are awesome and so strong! Wishing em well
It seems more like she hates every moment 😢
I love how these families consider they're children a gift from Allah/God because I would ❤️ God makes no mistakes PERIOD
I think these people would be happier living normal, pain free lives able to communicate and walk but that's just me
@@s.b.5259life is painful always but I do think it is sad that they don’t get to do things like walk and be more independent. It always reminds me to be grateful for simple things like walking to use the restroom by myself.
They are NOT children
little aboli is such a delight
Thank you ❤
He is god's special child. Please take good care of him...My love to my lovable brother😊
All these people were born into the perfect families. They all seem to be loved and cared for. So wonderful!! 🌟🥰🤗
Fascinating! Look at how those eastern cultures embrace the affected 'child' with love, compassion and even adoration. Nothing like the west. ❤😊
Actually, there are way too many people trapped in bodies who only guarantee suffering over here too, but it’s illegal to alleviate it 😢
Wow if only they can reach out to these families again for an update to see how there doing. I find them so extraordinary. ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
Did you notice ? They all come from Asia and are practically the same age 🤔
I think its their polluted water the whole environment really

I look like an adult, act like an adult and am an adult, and yet the moment u tell people im autistic people start acting like im a kid.
Her dance was very good and I love her mom smiling
This doco shows that LOVE really does conquer all!!! 💖💞💕 All people no matter their ability CAN have quality of life as long as they are loved! Maya's family are so beautiful... what a wonderful loving family 💖💞💕 Rauzatul and Manpreet same ❤How wonderfully blessed are these people to have each other 💗💖💓
I am Carolyne from Africa country called Kenya,i am happy to see how u care may Almighty God heal her .
I feel so sad for Maya. As a woman of 28, I can't imagine being in her situation. Why god. She looks so sad and frustrated! 💔
In the meantime, god is frowning on your questioning of his perfect plan, her faith included. Show more faith 😠
I wish they would all meet each other to know they are not so alone in this world
One of them would truly realize what’s going on
It was unbelievable but true. When people look at me, they think i'm 22!
For people from different countries don't know what language is this, this is Indonesia language. And I'm from Indonesia 🇮🇩
These stories remind me of an episode from Batman the Animated Series called Baby Doll
Unlike the episode it seems that they do not let there size get to them, they seem to be who they are and make the most out of their lives.
That show is amazing!
This is unfortunate..
One positive thing is that the families are supportive and VERY caring.
Such a beautiful and confident woman love it 😍🤩👏
3:04 I was wondering where I saw her because I do watch Indian Idol quite religiously, and she looked awfully familiar.
So sad
the dumbest comment i ever see goo to google and google it the reason why their teeth like that🤦🏻♂️while u saying that!
It's because of the health condition
@@asmrroseworld5021 No, even the families of the people with these conditions had horrible teeth.
It would be awesome if someone started a go fund me to help families like the ones shown. Proper sized wheelchairs or strollers, adult clothing, etc.
One of my recent tattoo customers has proportional dwarfism...looks like a small middle schooler. It was a trip working on her tiny arm!
I can understand it stopping her growing in height. But how come it stopped her aging too? She looks 5. There are plenty of short people who look older.
Btw, she's beautiful.
She doesn’t look like a toddler…her face looks 40…plus, she can’t bathe herself. I can only imagine how she feels…
Maya looks sp depressed, bless her heart.
They are beautiful sending love , light and peace to all thefamilies
And I thought it was bad looking 12 at 20 💀 and never going through puberty. All respect to them, they have it way worse
All these LADIES, are AMAZING and God 🎁
Yes, god was equally kind to them as well as me and you
I hope someone tells this woman she can absolutely dance with just her arms, i've seen beautiful dances (i think it was chinese) with just their hands and fingers, she absolutely doesn't have to give up on her dream, she just needs to find the right dance for her
The one on the screen when you click the video looks like a baby grinch but not in a bad way ❤️
